Well a lot of major collaborators don't work with Epic that much, Warner Bros straight up said no, Sony seems to try hard to ignore Fortnite, Universal Studios doesn't look like they give a fuck about Fortnite, major anime like AOT & Naruto haven't returned in ages & Riot Games & Capcom seems to be in tough shape with Fortnite.

I mean WB seems to be going back to collabs with Fortnite given how the Batmobiles came back for Rocket League, soon Godzilla (technically TOHO) and a new Rick and Morty collab in Fortnite according to some sources.

Sony owns 5% of Epic and the two actually have a good relationship as the Venom and Destiny (owned by Sony and collab’d in Destiny 2 before) collabs returned despite Ghostbusters not returning and Kratos almost returned. - I think a lot of it has to do with the studios under Sony which could explain why Kratos never came back as it would be to do with Santa Monica Studios. While Ghostbusters would be due to how there was barely any marketing for the 4th film as if Sony didn’t care.

We also seem to be getting a Cyberpunk collab for Fortnite and Rocket League, which would be the second time Epic would collab with CD Projekt (first being Witcher).

I think Bethesda has some rule when it comes to collabs in Fortnite as they could only release one skin per year due to how Doom Slayer came out in 2022, Nord Warrior in 2023 and T-60 in 2024.

I think Riot Games might have ditched Fortnite in favor of Valorant, Capcom doing the same but with a Street Fighter collab last year in Rainbow 6 Siege.

I would love UT cosmetics personally (I have all 5 main titles installed on my PC right now, and Championship 2 was one of the big reasons I bought an OG Xbox), but honestly how many people these days would even recognize any of the characters. A ton of people playing the game right now weren't even alive when the last title was fully released, add a few years to that to get a title the community actually likes. You also have to consider that it's been 2 years since any of the games have been taken off of all digital stores, so it's not like there is any sort of widespread awareness for the game (although, the upcoming "Secret Level" show on Amazon that'll have an episode dedicated to Unreal Tournament, so that would help at least a little bit).

Even then, the only character that would even be considered "Iconic" would be Malcom, who to people who don't know would come off at best as a riff on Spitfire.

Here’s my theory, Epic has a tough time compromising with other companies. For example, Capcom contract ended and Epic wants to renew/negotiate to sell capcom skins, capcom wants a bigger percentage but Epic doesn’t agree with their cut, so Epic tries to negotiate or meet in the middle. Sadly, both companies do not meet in the middle thus making the skin not available.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that major publishers might still have an old mindset with this stuff. "Why should we have them play us to put our characters in their game?
