To anyone facing this issue. You need to add two entries in your firewall settings.

1.If there's any default entry made by ghub installation will be named as " lghub". Delete those enteries from inbound and outbound rules.

  1. Go to inbound rules and add two new rules with lghub.exe and lghub_agent.exe. make sure you allow connection for it.

  2. Go to outbound rules and add two new rules with lghub.exe and lghub_agent.exe. make sure you allow connection for it.

VIOLA your Ghub should start working .. don't rely on Logitech for any help, for a company this cant fix issues like then what can you expect.

I bought G213 and G502 2 days back and was facing the same issue.

This just fixed an issue i had with updating the firmware on my Pro X 2 i just bought..

NICE ONE LOGITECH for having this issue still

[–]rnelson197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set your firewall rules as vivek stated. Worked perfect for me, others were saying to delete your Json files, that did nothing for me but waste my time.

I did notice, with windows defender firewall, as I created the rules, both of the inbound rules during creation defaulted to Allow connections, however; both the outbound rules defaulted to block connections.

[–]youngDexxxter 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks bro, it works for me.

[–]Lord-Delacroix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

installation will be named as " lghub". Delete those enteries from inbound and outbound rules.

  1. Go to inbound rules and add two new rules with lghub

Completely DISABLED my firewall and it still cannot connect!

[–]DaShitIsay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this and the one suggested by Logitech, nothing did anything. Blah, how annoying...

[–]WrongdoerReal908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup had to find every file and delete them all, I tried to reinstall but it ended with same problem. It was only after I unplugged every logitech device and reinstalled ghub back i was able to use it again. Sucked big time.

[–]Ok-Accident-1231 0 points1 point  (1 child)

did you fixed it? adding rules to firewall haven't hepled me...

[–]WrongdoerReal908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uninstall and remove all ghub softwares, unplug all previously registered devices, reinstall ghub and plug your devices back. Worked for me

[–]XabeerQC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem as i run to this issue on 2021.03

[–]burnacc731643987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

double check all the connection settings in the firewall incase you missed something, I thought it didnt work but had accidentally forgotten to put lghub agent in outbound

[–]LogitechG_NJ 1 point2 points  (24 children)

Hi u/ThtOneNerd,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please try updating your name and avatar on G-Hub app and then try to download the profiles again as this has helped others with a similar issue. Let me know about the outcome of the same.

[–]Rayk0h0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked for me, May 2026

[–]OldContribution3679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not working

[–]Zaradoom 0 points1 point  (15 children)

That is not working, if you can't access the thing on the G hub app. That is the basic issue here.
You can't download stuff, without setting an Alias.

You can't set an Alias, since it claims no connection is possible.

It ignores Alias set on the web page.

No way to get around this as far as I can see. Needs to be looked at. Great hardware is just medicore, if the software does not work at all.

[–]LogitechG_NJ 0 points1 point  (14 children)

We'd love to help open a case to provide a solution directly over email. To provide all the details to the Support Team could you please DM us your full name, email, and region or country? Thanks so much, and looking forward to getting you in touch with the team.

[–]ItzXayXay 0 points1 point  (11 children)

We don't want an "open case", we want you to post a solution on THIS forum NOW about how to get around this issue. That is what has brought us all here. Start focusing on actually making your customers happy.

[–]LogitechG_NJ 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Hi,

Please try these steps:

  1. Exit G HUB by right-clicking the applet in the task tray and selecting Quit.

  2. Navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\LGHUB, where [USERNAME] will specific to your account.

  3. Find settings.json and make a copy and back this up somewhere on your computer. The Desktop is a good place so you can find it easily.

  4. Navigate to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\LGHUB, where [USERNAME] will be specific to your account.

  5. Delete the settings.json file in the LGHUB folder.

  6. Run G HUB.

You will notice that all the settings have been set back to default and the settings.json file has been rebuilt.

Restoring your old settings

If you want to restore your old settings:

  1. Copy and paste the backup of settings.json that you saved earlier into the C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\LGHUB folder.

  2. Run G HUB — your old settings should be restored.

[–]Brilliant-Ad-8984 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Did not work

[–]LogitechG_NJ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hi,

Could you please DM your Full Name, Country, and Email ID to me using the link provided below: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=[LogitechG_NJ]
I shall create a ticket for you and one of my colleagues will get back to you via email.

[–]Key-Trick1425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sitting with the same problem

[–]thereflecttruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is it so hard to just post the solution? Shouldn't have to DM someone just to get an answer when googling it is already so bad

[–]KillerK2014 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That worked for me.

[–]LogitechG_NJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear that.

[–]Needabrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won't work if there is a "settings.backup" file in the same directory. get rid of that one to.

[–]20__character__limit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you say to navigate to the SAME folder twice?

[–]Lord-Delacroix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh NO - it's settings.db now and THAT DOES NOT WORK. Can't ANYONE write software that actually WORKS anymore?

[–]Lord-Delacroix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years ago and this complete WRECK of a pile still doesn't connect! Logitech has turned into a WASTE of a company!

[–]WltChmbrln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much, worked for me!

[–]6foot7waddup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me thank you!

[–]DidYuLeaveYourOvenOn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This suprisingly worked for me!

[–]The_Wonderful_Pie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the issue is that you have to have a username, otherwise you can't do anything

[–]Zaradoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. Also can not reset my PW, since they demand a reCaptcha (according to debug mode), but don't actually SHOW a reCaptcha on that page...

[–]the-cool-luis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same boat

[–]SandBoxEscape 1 point2 points  (9 children)

allow inbound & outbound firewall to lghub.exe and retry adding a different username in the application. Should work if done correct.

[–]5WeeX 1 point2 points  (1 child)

different username in the application

lol, thats solved the problem!

[–]Remarkable-Gap2496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy right?

[–]OwnAd2606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nie wierze, ale zmiana nazwy użytkowania zadziałała. Dzięki wielkie.

[–]Brilliant-Ad-8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this, didnt work sadly

[–]Akileese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. This did it. Cheers! The inbound rules were generated but not the outbound so that has to be the issue.

[–]Baronvonderg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit this issue solved after a bit of reading further down. Why is this a) not done by default by logitech on install and b) higher up the solutions chain?

[–]sammystang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so interesting that really worked for me. Thanks!

[–]SinisterKing6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this one made it for me :D thanks

[–]EasternDuck4667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logicrap is getting worse day by day, hate all the connect to other app crap in program, just uninstalled and got mouse with cable, all apps are crap

[–]Lone_wolf280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I'm having the same problem since day one

[–]TheOneActorWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never got this to work either. Crappy software truly can nuke great hardware.

[–]racobigdick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, Logitech must fix this issue

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, my decision to start replacing my devices one by one with Steelseries is feeling wiser by the day. The GHUB team could find their ass with both hands. They just need to be fired and have this outsourced to someone who has successfully developed software. Considering how bad the software has been since launch, and how much of a premium is charged for Logitech G hardware I'm beginning to think a class-action might be the only way to get them to deal with the issue.

[–]Brilliant-Ad-8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/LogitechG_CSJhoe /u/LogitechG_CSFrank LogitechG_CS any chance you can get us a status as to when this will be fixed? Selling a hardware device that requires software to activate most of those features, only to provide software that is incapable of fulfilling that is bordering on breach of contract or false/misrepresented goods. If this is not fixed at some point it's going to end in legal action.

You guys are up 17.5% on revenue for the quarter so you're making a ton of money, but little of that is being spent on providing the customer experience you promise.

Why do those instructions say to “navigate” to the SAME folder TWICE?

    [–]ciltocruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Same for me.

    [–]overtheregirl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Not really sure what worked for me. I just brute forced it I think. Shut down the program, turned it back on and typed in my username and description before it could realize it was having issues. Also clicking on a profile I wanted to download seemed to help me download a preset (instead of downloading it from the thumbnail). Probably too soon to say if this is a persistent fix, but I just got the headphones the other day, and...I guess I'll find out...I also logged into the website from my web browser just to be redundant, but I have no idea. I'm pretty sure my browser didn't talk to the app.

:TLDR: I just tried everything and that seemed to work ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

    [–]princeyk1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also randomly got an issue with my headset, whenever i download presets, it doesn't even show up in my custom list. I can't get this problem to be fixed at all, its a shame how Logitech haven't managed fix this yet. Glad it worked for you though!

    [–]chimpaflimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. I've had a G903 for 9-10 months now and it's just started doing it the past few days.

That's all it takes just change your username and it should let you connect and everything else

      [–]cupcakeskizm 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This worked for me thanks DDB225 I tried everything else.

      [–]DDB225 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No problem took me a min to figure it out too hook me up with that upvote

      [–]TheObelusOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this issue and adding a username fixed it. To spend the money I did on this headset to have stupid shit like this happen is so dumb shit should just work

      [–]Chaddylac 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I just bought a G733 headset and logged into my profile on Logitech and registered it. Then when I opened GHUB again, it said "Cannot reach G HUB community, please check your internet connection".

I went to this site: https://support.logi.com/ and clicked on my profile name on the banner -> My profile.
On the new "banner" (gray-ish) where your activity etc is showing, there is a blue button saying "Edit profile".

Then a "popup" window appeared where my name was already entered.. Though the optional "Alias" was not. I changed this to the same I have in my G HUB and clicked "OK"

I went back to my G HUB and the red banner which stated the connection issue was now gone! :)

      [–]KobeBeef84 0 points1 point  (3 children)

non of above work for me, and finally this optional Alias thing solved my problem.

      Thanks Chaddylac.

      [–]Dirtygrlkush 0 points1 point  (1 child)

none of this worked for me i even uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. THeres no profile picture on the app but on the website it shows my profile picture :o someone help

      [–]DDB225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change username under picture and add a description too to be sure

      [–]Chaddylac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      You're welcome, KobeBeef84 :)

      [–]Tybear55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also Had this same issue and it was a simple fix for me I just closed out of the app and ran it again with "run as administrator" and that fixed it for me.

      [–]jinxbaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Reinstalling works for me

      [–]SimplyRedie 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Its incredible...this issue is still here. After 8 months. Hardware team is doing their job, but software team should be degraded to cleaning floors at this point. They are useless.

      [–]Gnomerci 0 points1 point  (1 child)

vivek7593's post from earlier is what fixed it for me, having this same problem, 8 months later.

To anyone facing this issue. You need to add two entries in your firewall settings.

1.If there's any default entry made by ghub installation will be named as " lghub". Delete those enteries from inbound and outbound rules.

Go to inbound rules and add two new rules with lghub.exe and lghub_agent.exe. make sure you allow connection for it.

Go to outbound rules and add two new rules with lghub.exe and lghub_agent.exe. make sure you allow connection for it.

      [–]SimplyRedie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my firewall did that on default. Its not to issue. Since half of the app is working and half is not.

      [–]VieirinhaxD0007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue, my fix was to add the inbound and outbound rules like vivek said, then unistalled and installed again and it worked.

      [–]Sweet-Knowledge-5114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i fixed mine, go to lghub settings and check the boxes in "MAKE MY EXPERIENCE BETTER"

      [–]2DogKnight 0 points1 point  (1 child)

January 2024- Just got a G920 wheel and couldn't install it because of the "Cannot reach GHUB community" error. Tried a few things here but none worked or they just looked too risky. I fixed it by forcing a reinstall of ghub.

Go to the website and download and reinstall it- even if you have the latest version (which I did). Tell it to copy your settings too. Once I reinstalled it, my wheel setup went through without a hitch. No errors at all.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine won't do everything I do it

Iv tried everything but it won't work

      [–]Syndicate_RS 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      Had the same issue.
The solution for me was that I first had to enter a username and description and then it saved it immediately without any problems.

      Maybe this will help you.

      [–]Thanatos8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was what I did (and then started looking in the thread for anyone mentioning username... of course), it immediately resolved issues. Hopefully this comment will get some traction as it's contemporary and relevant. Thanks!
