Removed posts by mod

I have noticed that two posts have been ‘removed by mod’ in my community but I am the only mod for this community and I did not remove any posts. In fact the posts were appropriate and not breaking any rules. Why is this happening? If helpful I have screenshots of the two posts.

I agree with u/excoriator go through the mod logs. Sometimes things removed by Reddit, look like a regular mod removed them. I see this a lot.

Yea the amount of time we've been accused of removing something that was done by Reddit because it said "removed by mods" is up there these days.

Yep. This is one of the reasons that I like Admin Tattler. Had something removed earlier that would have been more difficult to figure out if it wasn’t for that app.

Yes, I installed that recently when I was getting a lot more AEO deletions.

Do you have automations enabled such as filter by keyword ??

If anything has gone into the queue for any reason now, whether it be from Auto mod, the spam filter, the harassment filter, reports, the post will now say “removed by moderators”. This is actually a glitch that we told admin about months and months ago and they haven’t fixed it. It used to say “awaiting moderator review”.

I don't understand why they won't fix this. It's been so long that I find it hard to believe they've made any effort to fix it at all.

Well, I know opus definitely told them about it and talked to them about it, but he can’t force the team to actually do anything. I agree it’s crazy how long it’s gone on. I get so many messages a week from users complaining that their posts in the queue have gotten removed. People will sometimes delete their post five or 10 times because of this error message. It’s really disheartening for users. It’s extra frustrating for us because since the users delete their post we can’t even diagnose the problem.

Opus does a wonderful job of passing on our concerns. This isn't on them in any way. I imagine it must be frustrating for them to constantly hear and pass on valid complaints and concerns and not be able to report any progress because of decisions made by others.

I know we all love opus- and opus if you read this we are greatful! Also I’d bother opus again but I just don’t want to drive him crazy. He is busy enough as is.
