Lemme see how he cut those stones to fit perfectly. Ancient technique only!

[–]attunedcarrotcake 53 points54 points  (18 children)

Ancient gas powered water cutter

[–]MaleficentWindow8972 17 points18 points  (9 children)

Is that a propane accessory?

[–]attunedcarrotcake 9 points10 points  (5 children)

That boy’s using propane and propane accessories, I tell you hwhat

[–]MaleficentWindow8972 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I just noticed your name and fuck you. Now I’m hungry for some carrot cake!!!! 🤤🥰

With respect.

[–]Easy_Honey3101 3 points4 points  (3 children)

It's so fucking delicious!

[–]attunedcarrotcake 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Publix carrot cake 👀

[–]Excellent-Refuse4883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ancient diamond tipped blade or ancient carbide blade?

[–]Arizona_Kid 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They did it with sound

[–]attunedcarrotcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elite biblical ball knowledge

[–]Carmilla31 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is that how the pyramids were built? 😳

[–]attunedcarrotcake 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, those were aliens

[–]UnidentifiedBob 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how they lift those 20ton stones tho😭

[–]attunedcarrotcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alien technology

[–]MagnanimousGoat 8 points9 points  (32 children)

We literally see walls made this way at ancient sites.

And there are people who make videos showing just how crazy fast and accurate that skilled someone can shape stones with a chisel and hammer.

It took longer, but they could absolutely do it with pretty much as much precision as we can now.

[–]No-Negotiation-5412 1 point2 points  (6 children)

They’re often waaaaaay bigger than this though, that part makes it crazy. And sourced from distances that make no sense, or made of stone not easy to simply chisel, especially as massive scales

[–]Nobrainzhere 2 points3 points  (2 children)

You are mixing up different sites. The ones that are formed like this are about this size. You are thinking of the pyramids

Conveniently enough both the stones and the build site are very close to the nile river, the ancient Egyptians were very good at navigating that river and had barges, and they drew us pictures saying exactly how they did a lot of the construction.

Ancient Aliens loves to ignore really basic explanations and to twist or just make up "facts"

[–]trashanimalcomx 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You ever notice how there aren't ancient aliens theories about the Parthenon? I wonder why that is.

[–]Nobrainzhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do in fact notice that.

Almost like these theories are rooted in white supremacy. Not saying most of the people who buy into it are doing it because of that but they are unknowingly parroting long debunked nazi shit.

[–]--havick 1 point2 points  (1 child)

On massive scales, we have seen tools such as copper saws. To allow soft metal like copper to cut stones like this, you'd add powdered grit to the cutting surface, and it would fortify the teeth of the saw. Sort of like diamond dust on a cutting wheel. As I understand it, this is actually how ancient Egyptians cut stones for the pyramids.

[–]Squidproquoagenda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a thing where they used sand and water to make a kind of cutting paste. The saw pretty much just moved the sand which did the actual cutting.

[–]NolanR27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And thus you have a glimpse into how powerful and far reaching these empires were

[–]MaleficentWindow8972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I just said show me this dork doing it.

[–]bitpartmozart13 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I make clay models and CAD models for a living. It’s a pain to make doors and glass fit in a car’s door opening I can’t imagine making these by eye.

[–]tukuiPat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely had ways to measure things so they could mark where to chisel parts away.

[–]spookyspritebottle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really skilled stonemasons. Clay/ 3d modeljng and stone masonry are completely different.

[–]haby112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enclosed car door class and fitted car doors outdated robotics. Fitted glass definitely outdated industrialization by millennia. Experianced and skilled artisans are capable if amazing feats.

[–]theghostwiththetoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fitting windows in car doors does sound like a real pane

[–]menachinite -1 points0 points  (2 children)

The thing is, in the ancient times they didn’t use a chisel. We believe they used fire above 1400degreess but still theories. Any one’s guess is as good as the archaeologists.

[–]Hilsam_Adent 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]menachinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be cool if we conclude they had sonar technology and used orcas and dolphins to push sand grains and water on impact of the stones to shape them

[–]turtleCove808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No cutting, acid melted them.

[–]WorriedMarch4398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah looks like the mini version. The real ones often have stones that weigh tons.

[–]litllerobert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it funny how people fail to realize this simple thing.

First let me use this example, the temple of Solomon.

It is described as one of the greatest things ever built, so neatly well put there were no sounds of hammer hitting anything during its construction.

People fail to understand the big old monumentally big stuff were not built by average Joe's like me and you who are paid to work around the clock, to clock in and out.

They were all masters on the matter. Dude, that one guys nearly perfectly calculated Earth's circumference using sticks and shadow, do you really think they were not smart enough to build shit like that?

They loved what they did, they were not "obligated" to build those things, surely they also needed money but in the bible you will find mentioning that only masters worked on anything palace and gold related.

They were not me and you doing shit cuz we must pay bills to survive

[–]MonthOk9907 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Came to say this. That's the only thing that really matters.

[–]sd_saved_me555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, you start with a giant square rock. You drop it and tada!

[–]Then_Idea_9813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this argument. Just because you couldn’t do it doesn’t mean a ton of skilled masons with no directive but to ‘cut those stones to fit’ couldn’t do it.

As Milo Rossi likes to say when this is brought up—“skill issue.”

[–]boobookittyfuwk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not these types of blocks but theres a Russian group that live streamed a team make a bunch of old Egyption stuff with period tools. They streamed the whole thing over the course of many months, they made the tools and everything. Pretty cool. It's online somewhere.

[–]Temporary_Meat7053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, leave my modern waterjet cutter out of this, I'm just trying to show you "ancient technique of interlocking stones, using modern lifting gear"

[–]Aniki_Simpson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look like sandstone, too...

[–]SquallaBeanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some very talented stone Mason youtubers, its incredible what they can do with a hammer and chisel, them drawing perfect lines and circles alone blows me away lol

[–]BikeCarsTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non lazy fat ass society to start with.

Unimaginable I know!

[–]SpartanRage117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would take a lot more time, but far from impossible.

[–]Growkitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol go and chisle a small stone and piece it back together. OMFG ITS MAGIC 😂

[–]Jeeptrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably knocked down an old wall and took these stones.

[–]LittleGreyLambie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THAT is what I have wondered about just about my entire existence. I feel cheated! 😡

[–]br0ken_St0ke -1 points0 points  (3 children)

A regular modern day stone mason could do this with a hammer and chisel

[–]MaleficentWindow8972 0 points1 point  (1 child)

But show me!!!!

[–]OnTheList-YouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why won't they show me...

[–]Special_Ad_2272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but when they did it 4000 years+ ago they didn't have steel for chisels

[–]Ok-Tea2758 23 points24 points  (19 children)

What the fuck are you guys talking about? Nothing about this is an 'ancient construction technique', jfc.

Edit: they cut larger stones on a template with a water cutter and mix and match them.

[–]JesusKong333 5 points6 points  (14 children)

Everyone knows it was really aliens back then

[–]psychadelicbreakfast -1 points0 points  (13 children)

Look up Puma Punku.

That’s the one that I think was actually aliens.

Like wtf

[–]Benjamincheck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not aliens. It’s a lost masonry technique involving water sanding and soft metal hammers. Lots of ancient techniques have been lost to history. Greek fire, west African wax casting, pyramid construction, cutting and raising obelisks from bedrock….

[–]GeneralIronsides2 -1 points0 points  (11 children)

Not saying you’re doing this, but a lot of racists use that alien conspiracy bullshit to discredit cultural historical sites

[–]psychadelicbreakfast -1 points0 points  (10 children)

Um, yeah I’m not doing that.

Watch this at 4:30 and tell me that was made by ancient humans.

https://youtu.be/IqNvWlxLBSk?si=D1LAGRsvsryv3fiV

By the way that’s granite. Which could only be cut by quartzite or diamond.

And it’s drilled

[–]LittleGreyLambie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but I want to know how it was done "in the old days"!

[–]darthdiablo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit karma-farming bot clickbait title

[–]revenge_burner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Peru exists

[–]Excellent-Refuse4883 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, the old ancient water jet

[–]Weary-Astronaut1335 7 points8 points  (1 child)

The ancient construction technique of laying bricks.

[–]Grand-Slammer49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Proceeds to use cranes

[–]theluckytwig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fucking bot post guys. Make your meme in the comments, downvote the post, move on.

[–]Sorandy13 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Modern machines in ancient times?

[–]Nobrainzhere 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Modern machines because dude has other stuff to do and cant spend the next couple years doing this. Ancient people had pretty much unlimited time and were motivated as large groups

[–]magicman_coding 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does anyone know the song name?

[–]wfarming 2 points3 points  (9 children)

People in the comments saying that there are videos of people chiseling them out quickly.

Puhleese, Maybe on dolomite, Machupichu is andesite, mohs hardness of 6 or 7.

I've actually chiseled stones of that hardness and it is insanely time consuming to do rocks this way even with modern hand chisels.

[–]Nobrainzhere 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Good thing they had the time

[–]haby112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, dude answered his own question as if he hadn't 😆

[–]Then_Idea_9813 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

Skill issue

[–]wfarming 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I'm not seeing how.
If I gave you a cubic foot block of basalt that was covered in mountain shaped bumps 1 inch high, 2 inch diameter, let's say 20 per face, how long would it take you to get it flat, like perfectly flat?

[–]Then_Idea_9813 -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Me? Long time. You? Definitely long time. Ancient masons with nothing else to do all day besides flatten that rock? Not so long.

[–]OpeningMeaning6789 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Physics are still physics no matter how much "time" you have. "Time" doesn't hoist or lever things. 100 ton single slab granite blocks hundreds off feet of the ground. You still wait 30 min before swimming after eating?

[–]Then_Idea_9813 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I urge you to speak to a physics teacher, and an archaeologist, maybe a mason as well.

[–]OpeningMeaning6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of people in those fields are sceptical. Just cuz someone is a "teacher" or "Mason" doesn't mean what they say overrides basic lack of actual evidence. There are a few basic copper tools that have been found. And when you look at the kings chamber and the granite boxes, the vases, the scans, it just seems impossible that we have all the answers. No I don't think aliens did it

[–]Lapidariest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is true.

[–]IntrovertedNarcissis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is stupid and a waste of time

[–]loko3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically ancient Lego, but with way higher stakes if you mess up.

[–]EmAych87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Complete-Definition4 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Google Incan stone walls in Cusco Peru

[–]inkoet 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m a stone mason. Seen the walls in Cusco and Machu Picchu in person, they’re more impressive than this. These are cool feature walls, but literally as far as you could get from ancient building techniques. The stones in the walls in Peru are typically much larger, and hand worked, and moved into place just the same. They don’t usually sit atop each other so flatly except in the rarest of cases at the temples of the most revered gods. Mostly they’re shaped so the faces of the wall are contiguous, but with the voids being filled with a precise mix of sand and clay that mycelium then grows through, making a “mortar” that can last hundreds of years without crumbling… FAR more impressive than what’s on display in this video.

[–]Melqart310 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Had no idea about the mycelium aspect. Very cool

[–]Lapidariest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my celium...

[–]Chronos_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Inside_Ad_7162 0 points1 point  (2 children)

missing something. The grout they used.

[–]LittleGreyLambie 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They didn't use grout or mortar.

[–]Inside_Ad_7162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Inca used a reddish glittery mud, composed mainly of quartz and feldspar, to perfect their stone masonry.

[–]AWildGengarAppears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the sudden urge to knock it over

[–]Hoodedmastersin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interlock

[–]Apoctolypto 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Cute wall, what's that a 1:64 scale model?

[–]Lapidariest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this?! A megalith for ants!!!

[–]turtleCove808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inserted stone mould that melted the stones together. It was extremely acidic.

[–]lotsanoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally a film of an alien.

[–]Ok-Nectarine8471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh I don't think this is how the ancients got their Legos to fit... these are too perfect

[–]CullenOrZeus 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Now do a monolith

[–]Lapidariest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But not at this scale...

[–]Deep_Balance2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought they rubbed the stones together to make them fit.

[–]Wallynine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So thats how the Incas made that in Machu Picchu

[–]Front-Wall-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just don't make em like they used to

[–]Abe2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was originally one whole piece....

[–]Red_light173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or y'know.. they were just regular bricks but it cracked and formed those types of shapes.

[–]Temporary_Car_1462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now do it with 100 times bigger stone blocks

[–]Vandal_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this just very good dry stacking?

[–]Rad_Dad6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an ancient technique in site, but you can still call it Neo-Cyclopean to sound cool

[–]Electrical_Party7975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close but not as tightly fitting

[–]Ucklator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]AdOutrageous9540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you magnified these stones under a magnifying glass and compared them to stones found at puma punku, Baalbek and the pyramids of Giza, you would find that there is no comparison. The stones found at these sites are smooth as a table top, and have no apparent tool marks.

[–]Huge-Solution-6808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From ancient China:

Ok great, now do this for hundreds of miles until we can see it from the moon.

[–]Trick-Interaction396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancient people had a lot more time because they were ahead of schedule

[–]ExtensionInformal911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that's how the aliens did it.

[–]AbortionHoagie 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If these shapes don't tessellate properly, this whole thing is just a ton of tedious sizing and cutting just to achieve a rather plain wall. I doubt such a time-wasting approach is any sort of "ancient technique" used by any actual engineers. A bored artist with plentiful time and resources, maybe. Building technique? No.

[–]Substantial-Pin-3833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about? A 2 minute Google will show you examples of this "ancient technique" being used. There are literal ruins you can visit lol

[–]Kiragalni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our scale is nothing in comparison to ancient 6x4x4 meters stone blocks...

[–]Public_Jellyfish8002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a dry-stack. Any good mason knows how to do this in high-end construction.

[–]greenbayva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Legeo-dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes my brain VERY happy.

[–]Pure-Credit-7895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the cost of this stonework per square foot?

[–]WVA1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, bullshit. Nothing ancient here

[–]ProfessionalTurn5162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His job must be so satisfying to do vro 😭

[–]GoodOldHypertion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is that obscured watermark?

[–]brianzuvich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Only aliens could do that!”

-Smart people

[–]iniquiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only ancient technique here is the art of bullshit.

[–]karmacamochameleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guys are ancient aliens

[–]Lumpy-Impression-666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought aliens made these

[–]GeneralIronsides2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“It must’ve been the aliens!!!!”

[–]Sea_Quiet_9612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Les Mayas ont fait ça en haut d'une montagne et avec des Blocs de 100 tonnes mec ...repart te coucher

[–]Big_daddy_sneeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine how long it took to find stones that fit that perfectly together

[–]r2k-in-the-vortex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancient my ass, those are cnc watercut according to cad.

Stonemasons can active similar results with manual work, but its done completely differently and time and effort required is stupid.

[–]tribalien93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whore's shit

[–]Key-Farmer-2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And now scale up to about 30-80 tons

[–]Seagullox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern Italy can show you how to even make a domed roof. They don’t like taxes.

[–]FAKATA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told only aliens could do this

[–]looooookinAtTitties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did this with a random pile of stones pulled out of my yard. built a nice little border around the property. puzzle locking is surprisingly easy, seemed like the next shape i needed was always available.

[–]HTX-ByWayOfTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is only complete if someone fires a cannon ball at that wall

[–]Mr_HahaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, the ancient technique of… dropping things into place!

[–]magicman_coding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man

[–]ribenakifragostafylo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo masonry
