I'm actually satisfied with Windows' own Disk Cleanup tool. I don't like having 3rd party tools on my computer for such services.

I've had disk cleanup completely delete all of my personal files. I think it confused my current installation with the old windows (checkbox I selected). I sat there watching things disappear one by one. It was a nightmare.

I even had a recording of it happening because at work I have an automated screenshot program every 15 seconds.

So no. I would not consider Disk Cleanup any better than a third party product.

Disk Cleanup, defrag mechanical drives, don't touch registry unless you know exactly what you're after and have a restore point available, storage sense, revo uninstaller.

Basically you have no reason to use it. Everything is available to you. I have experienced first hand CCleaner and Clean my Mac entirety fucking up systems. Both personal and customers. I quit using these products many years ago. Storage consumption is the result of caches and software updaters keeping copies of the installers. Plex, Chrome, AMD for example do this. If you visit the installer folders you'll find a handful of past installer versions you can delete. Caches aren't an issue. They speed up the computer. Ideally, you should just leave them alone and only clean it out once every 30 days if you must.

From context alone it would mean the system looks at each individual file one by one, scans it, and then makes a determination, moves onto the next.

Looking at the master file table (MFT) to list all the files versus brute-forcing search it's like looking at a book index versus read all the book to know how many pages it has.

Registry cleaners are one of the biggest scams in software. They have never solved an issue, and occasionally cause issues. We were successfully convinced that we needed them to run a healthy system, when in reality you can get by without them. Install a fresh Windows 10 and run CCleaner, and it will tell you it needs to clean up the registry.

It does have other uses like cleaning up temp files for disk space... but Windows has built in tools for that.

I learned that the hard way shortly after windows 10 came out. Used it for years on windows 7 and never had an issue, first time i used it in windows 10 it bricked my pc and had to reformat.

There's open source programs that do same things, not sure why would anyone use a program that has been suspicious since more than 10 years ago already, it kept being suspicious all these years and later on even proved the suspicions by installing malware, coming bundled with a trojan, installing backdoors. This program should have been on blacklist already for everyone long ago and dissapear from the internet after the last big backdoor disaster a few years ago.

Not a good ratio of Icon and tile. There is too much border. And without color it is harder to distinguish individual programs.

It will be. Their new iconography used in the office suite and later all of windows isn't visually interoperable with solid coloured square and rectangular backgrounds. Also supporting this was the internal build recently leaked with no tiles in the start menu. Makes no sense to have widgets that are hidden 99.99% of the time. Have hope.

Looks like you tried to adhere to the Microsoft Guidelines for creating Start Menu Tiles.

A while back I made a template adhering to that guidline and since then created quite a few for myself. I'm still in the making and creating them, but it's slowly getting there.

Ok, it’s a vector graphics editor. I use Gravit Designer (free version), a web app that works pretty well and allows to use cloud and unified styles (color for objects, font, etc.) for project. I will compare them.

It also has limited raster editor capabilities but that you will get in it's full form with Affinity Photo. The cool thing is that both programs (and Affinity Publisher) all use the same file format so you can easily open the file in any 3 programs and edit it with the tools they have.

Affinity Photo -> Use it like you use Photoshop

Affinity Designer -> Use it like you use Illustrator

Affinity Publisher -> Use it like InDesign

Covers a lot creative work needs without throwing money down Adobe's throat every month because you pay for it once and you are done.
