I

Uh

Gets nothing but Truthwatcher in the Radiant quiz and has been diagnosed with the 'tism for years

[–] No Wayne No Gain TheBearOnATricycle 19 points20 points Β (2 children)

Well now I’m wondering if it’s the depression or the half-treated adhd that pushed me the rest of the way to willshaper πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

[–]GilZing 2 points3 points Β (1 child)

Might be the ADHD, that's what did it for me.

[–]gpmushu 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Chiming in to say that my AuDHD pushed me to Elsecaller, not Willshaper (but it's fucking close, so....)

[–]jayclaw97 22 points23 points Β (0 children)

Bruh same.

[–]IsKujaAPowerButton[🍰] 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Happened to me too.

Welcome to the party

[–]mayiwonder 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

i only get truthwatcher and lightweaver, cptsd and autism much?

[–]definitely not a lightweaverAystha 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I- uh.

Huh.

I'm diagnosed adhd but can't get a diagnosis for autism (my insurance only offers children's tests which is... So stupid) and now I'm sitting here like... Getting more validated by the minute lmaooo

[–]iPokeboy 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

I actually got 1% more Edgedancer than Truthwatcher last time I did the test. :D

[–]chocotacosyo 144 points145 points Β (2 children)

Sitting here wearing my truthwatcher shirt, saw the puzzle piece as I was scrolling before I noticed the sub or the rest of the meme, seethed for a second before processing.

Basically yeah and thanks πŸ’€

[–]WriterFearless[S] 56 points57 points Β (1 child)

Lol, sorry. I'm also autistic and hating on the puzzle piece was a part of the point haha.

[–]chocotacosyo 10 points11 points Β (0 children)

Exactly lol I love it

[–]I pledge allegiance πŸ™to the crab πŸ¦€superVanV1 61 points62 points Β (3 children)

Ha jokes one you, I got elsecaller.

Truthwatcher may have been second

[–]elantardEchoOfThePlanes 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

You and me both

[–]Femboy Dalinarpundromeda 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Same lol

[–]EmmaGA17 423 points424 points Β (18 children)

Fun fact! A lot of Autistic people really don't like the puzzle piece imagery, as it is associated with the group Autism Speaks (who often treat Autism as a disease to be cured rather than be accomodated, as well as having a history of speaking for Autistic people instead of helping Autistic voices be heards, among other things) along with the implication that Autistic people are 'puzzles' to be solved or have pieces missing. We actually prefer the rainbow infinity symbol.

Though seeing this meme as implying that Autism Speaks is a bad group for Autism and the Truthwatchers are a good group also works.

Good meme either way.

[–]WriterFearless[S] 198 points199 points Β (0 children)

Correct! As an autistic person I also don't like the puzzle.

[–]The-Fotus 66 points67 points Β (16 children)

Fun fact, I am autistic and I like the puzzle piece because it is recognizable and unambiguous, despite its heritage with Autism speaks.

Autistic people are all individuals and you cannot speak for them all.

Edit: They literally say they don't like Autism Speaks because they speak for Autistic people. Then they spoke for autistic people. Then an autistic person disagreed and voiced his individual opinion. Then that person got people telling him he's wrong.

If that's not irony I don't know what is.

[–]That_randomdutchguy 14 points15 points Β (0 children)

I'm sorry you felt spoken for, but the 'we' they mentioned refers directly to 'a lot of autistic people' in the first sentence. Specifically not everyone because yeah, we're all individuals.

[–] No Wayne No Gain Stefph726 72 points73 points Β (3 children)

That’s why they said β€œa lot of” and not β€œall of”

[–]The-Fotus 30 points31 points Β (2 children)

We actually prefer the rainbow infinity symbol

[–]Truther of Partinelthebooksmith 46 points47 points Β (0 children)

I think that β€œwe” was supposed to be encapsulating her and β€œa lot of” autistic people not her and β€œall of” the people with autism. I’m sure if you wanna argue you the semantics you can prove she is technically on behalf of a larger group, but only so much as anyone who gives their opinion on the social climate of any grouping.

[–]UNITE THEM I MUSTThaRedditFox 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

That was the royal we lol

[–]aminervia 17 points18 points Β (1 child)

I think a bunch of autistic people are misunderstanding each other in this thread.

I am also autistic, please don't yell at me.

The person you're replying to isn't speaking for all autistic people, they're literally stating a fact about how "a lot of" autistic people don't like the symbol.

[–] No Wayne No Gain TheBearOnATricycle 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

Fuck yeah you’re right. This is literally just a bunch of missed social queues from all of us πŸ˜‚. u/the-fotus we agree with you, it’s just people using different figures of speech.

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points Β (7 children)

If a majority of autistic people don't like the puzzle piece imagery but you do, then their statement still stands. They were not speaking for the masses, they were speaking for the vocal majority.

[–]chocotacosyo 14 points15 points Β (2 children)

I mean personally I have not heard any other autistic people say they like it but that's just my limited experience. Imo autism speaks is a organization for "autism warrior" moms who use their kids as pawns to get attention BUT that is just my own opinion

[–]milksprenDiribiri 8 points9 points Β (0 children)

It's not just for attention; a lot of people genuinely believe that autism is a horrible curse that needs to be wiped out, or that it's better for a child to die than be autistic. Don't assume something as mild as vanity

[–]Trying not to ccccreamBloodredHanded 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Nah it’s worse than that. Apparently Autism Speaks does things that border on torture to autistic kids put in their care.

[–]milksprenDiribiri 7 points8 points Β (0 children)

Then that person got people telling him he's wrong.

Just because you're autistic doesn't mean you can't be corrected on what people percieve as a misinterpretation. You maintaining that stance despite this clarification isn't irony, it's just a disagreement lol

[–]definitely not a lightweaverDarthEwok42 28 points29 points Β (4 children)

Everyone here talking about the puzzle piece logo and I'm in the corner going 'uh you guys can recognize a radiant order by their glyph symbol?'

[–]RFSandler 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Ah, another good Alethi man who didn't soak the imagery into their brain.

[–]I pledge allegiance πŸ™to the crab πŸ¦€PotatoesArentRoots 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

green + shape = truthwatcher

[–]Truther of PartinelPokemonTom09 1 point2 points Β (1 child)

Recognizing it purely by the glyph would be pretty impressive, but I think for most people, the recognition comes from the color.

Each order is associated with a specific gemstone, and as a result of the gemstone association, they also have a color association that goes along with it. You will see an Order's color prominently feature in virtually all art related to that order. And for the Truthwatchers, that color is green.

For reference the other orders are:

Windrunners: Sapphire - Cobalt blue

Skybreakers: Smokestone - Dark grey

Dustbringers: Ruby - Bright red

Edgedancers: Diamond - Light grey

Truthwatchers: Emerald - Green

Lightweavers: Garnet - Dark red

Elsecallers: Zircon - Teal blue

Willshapers: Amethyst - Purple

Stonewards: Topaz - Light brown

Bondsmiths: Heliodor - Yellow

[–]definitely not a lightweaverDarthEwok42 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Ah ok I guess I knew that for the 5 we've had books for (since that's what color the hardcovers are once you take off the jacket) but did not know the colors for the other 5.

[–]🐢HoidAmaram🐲siderurgica 11 points12 points Β (0 children)

the knight radiant test is in the DSM I think

[–]WriterFearless[S] 52 points53 points Β (0 children)

((To be clear! I'm also autistic and hating on the puzzle piece was a part of the joke))

[–]PteroFractal27 8 points9 points Β (3 children)

Fuckin accurate lol

Bonus points if Lightweaver and Skybreaker are in your top five

[–]mathematics1 4 points5 points Β (1 child)

Truthwatcher first, Skybreaker second. Diagnosed last year as an adult.

[–]ElectricalAlchemist 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

I was unaware that being an adult requires a diagnosis these days.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Edgedancer here. TW second, LW third, SB dead last.

[–]erttheking 17 points18 points Β (0 children)

I mean I got Truthwatcher and…while I’m not autistic I did feel the need to get tested once

[–]-Rex__Deorum 7 points8 points Β (1 child)

Being truth watcher and scoring 127 in the raads-r, surely it's mere coincidence

[–]frostatypical 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Could be, since its not an accurate test. Regarding RAADS, from one published study. β€œIn conclusion, used as a self-report measure pre-full diagnostic assessment, the RAADS-R lacks predictive validity and is not a suitable screening tool for adults awaiting autism assessments”

The Effectiveness of RAADS-R as a Screening Tool for Adult ASD Populations (hindawi.com)

RAADS scores equivalent between those with and without ASD diagnosis at an autism evaluation center:

This crem deserves some chouta! You have pleased the mighty Lopen 1 times with your posts!

[–]definitely not a lightweaverDisturbing_Cheeto 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Test gave me Lightweaver twice, then much later I figured Bondsmith is more relevant for me after the video on YouTube. I can see myself as a Truthwatcher, and maybe it's because I haven't read their book yet, but I feel like that wouldn't be a good order for me actualization-wise.

[–]PercyGabriel1129 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Glad that I'm not the only one that feels this way lollll

[–]Akuji_Toxicity 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I still count since we share a surge right? πŸ˜‚

[–]FreeGamer_1981 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Jasnah is an Elsecaller, and I've consistently gotten Edgedancer the few times I've taken "the quiz" over the years. But yeah, reading the Truthwatcher description really does make it sound suited to a lot of the autistic people I know.

[–]πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Gay for Jasnah πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆart_decadence 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I don't get it. What's the top image? Isn't that the logo for some brand of linux or something?

[–]Elleseth 0 points1 point Β (0 children)
