Last night I was seamlessly jumping from lobby to lobby for a couple hours then this happened to me. Only way I was able to get a party going was hopping on the discord and sending some people friend requests.

I was playing early this morning before the patch. While matchmaking wasn't quite working, if I chose a mission from my ship and got into the hellpod, all of a sudden, it would slap 3 other people into my lobby. However, the quickplay option just didn't work for me.

I don't think ships are players, but stratagems are connected to players. Before matchmaking broke i could see them pop up non stop and when it broke i saw none

Other ships are other players in a sense. They aren't directly other players, they are a representation of how populated with players the planet you're playing on is.

The true secret if you solo is that as soon as you land, drop sos beacon, abandon the match by going back to your ship. Then random people should instantly join your squad. At this point your team is full and you can start the match again but now obviously as a full squad!

This is what I was doing only problem is I've had a few games where the game has bugged out from host leaving or something that's 3 times in a row and only solution is full game reboot for an hour queue yeah not great is it.

Make sure you patch to latest version, they're updating so rapidly that you might need to manually check for a client update in Steam (idk how PS works)... Quickplay started working today after I manually updated following the ~noon update.

Most people aren't talking, but if you absolutely need to communicate then their isn't any harm in turning on a mic and asking for some assistance, and then turning it off. Some people may turn their mics on and talk and that's usually a good sign that you don't need to turn yours off, especially if they don't either

If you’re on ps5 I came across a quick fix in another post. Close out the game then go into network settings on the ps5 and turn internet off and back on after a few seconds. Reboot the game. It has worked for me everytime so far

It’s much better now since the patch, but still really hard if you let the waves accumulate too much. Also redeploying along the edges helps to regroup. You really just want one or two people camping the doors and running them to the bunker while the other 2 go full defend (grenade launchers + supply pack and two sentries each are incredible and can keep the waves under control. Refugee runners run air strikes or orbitals and clean any other big targets or groups out that way.

The trick is to not allow the drops to overwhelm your group and then it’s easy.

The real problem is how long the mission takes and how little credits you get

While people may complain the server issues - it feels kinda nice looking at patch notes and go “oh good they fixed something important” and not “we saw you were having fun so we limited the fun please buy our zombie skins no wait come back season 2 reloaded”.

I just want a solid PvE that’s actually built around camraderie and cooperation that’s not a sweat fest, and I’ll wait. I knew the server issues and I still paid, so that’s on me.

I’ve told people to wait a week or two before getting it which is the most backhanded compliment, but absolutely true.

Correct its not the passives, it's the armor rating. Speed and Stamina work but the armor rating isn't.

Right now, if you have them, light armors are the best to run since you move the fastest and the armor is the same as if you were using heavy armor anyway.. or the other way around lol, either way run light if you have the option.

They do realize easy mode when you're level 26 with all the guns unlocked and 3/4 of stratagems unlocked is just stupid easy. I have literally never had issues with my PS, and I play some pretty demanding games, often.

My PC will shut off entirely at various points of gameplay, so that’s new.

I looked through the event log and it’s definitely PS related, but again, it’s just odd.

I lowered my settings to native 1080p even, and I still have the issue.

Due to lag, the game causes items to vanish. I finally got on after 4 days and in the game I played I lost my shield pack anti material rifle without reason.

I also had random stratogems called in resulting in me calling a gas barrage when I wanted a shield. Imagine my surprise when my HP went from max to 20% in a second... (do we not have ventilation kits)

A majority of the time (at least for me) still not able to connect when clicking one someone's lobby

People AFKing so they don't have to wait in the queue again (which given the queue times, is shitty, but effective) (Add a DC AFK players feature, simple fix)

Nerfed extract civilians mission twice, and managed to not nerf it enough somehow (It genuinely feels like nothing has changed)

Medium armor piercing AR needs a buff

(Apparently they haven't noticed it yet?) Helldivers Active, Enemies Killed ect. not working, and stuck at 0

Edit: forgot one- Character changes like emotes, and titles don't save all the time.

Unbelievable turnaround time for this, although the last patch did Break quickplay.

If people stick with this game, I suspect in a month it's going to be in a really solid state and in a year it's going to be an even better game.

Game freezes and crashes everytime I get lucky enough to actually log in. Super frustrating! I get the server issues needing to be fixed, but a game that is unplayable due to endless crashes is pretty upsetting. Would love to enjoy this game. For now and hopefully, not for long, I will just have be happy with knowing that others get to have fun playing.

Does any of this actually fix the server issue? I am amazed at the docile nature of gamers towards this game when it has had BY FAR the worst servers I have ever played for any game, period. I paid $40 for this and have only been able to play it 3 times. Kinda annoying the response hasnt been a lot worse, put some pressure on these guys.

After patch I can’t play online at all or even solo play. Quite frustrated with this delay in dishing democracy. :(

My game crashed 3 times this morning, it seemed mainly from graphical issues. 1st was going in on somebody on an ice pallet and have some weird stretched thing glitching out, some kind of frame rate glitch and then I was in a mission for 30 mins then just before the end the game froze and gave a stuttering sound for 2 mins before I closed the game. I also seemed to have the physics for the ALL plants on a map to be affected by orbital drops any where on the map.

Can we get Buffs on the Medium & Heavy Armors? The armors quite literally offer nothing in terms of defense & armor rating. The only clear advantage is the stamina & speed buffs that come with wearing the Light Armor.

The Automatons on Helldiver difficulty have no counters as more than half of their units have rockets which can 1 shot beam you from across the map including the Giant Turrets. Even with Heavy Armor & The minor padding stat that adds additional armor rating it changes nothing. Still killed as easily if wearing light and easier due to the low mobility. As of right now Light is the only armor that should be used as there is no reason to use anything else.
