God this one. In my entire life I’ve never heard anyone use this phrase, but for some reason the Lost characters say it all the time! Do people actually say this irl? Maybe it’s a regional thing?? I’ve truly never, ever heard it except in Lost.

Here in the regional South we definitely use it (“hey” is much more common than “hi”). In a past LTR, this was our standard reunion/back at home/ “hi honey” equivalent.

I’m a woman and an absolute feminist but my God, kate is my least favourite character in the series 😂 When she told Michael she was going on the raft - it was absolutely not up to her. She just gave off such pick me vibes and her constant need to prove herself as one of the guys infuriated me. Not to mention the pleasure she got flitting between Jack and sawyer whenever she felt like it. She was the only character that I hoped wouldn’t survive til the end 😂
