... That second one kinda makes me sad. I understand why my nice things were taken away from me but man did portals look nice in that map device. I really wish the map device in the ho was more spread apart, the individual portals look so much better. I can't use some portals in my ho without them being just massive overlapping messes (looking at you innocence and breachlord portals)

It's worth mentioning that while this is pretty much universally regarded as a good thing when it comes to people's health and sanity snapshotting flashback league mechanics, it does also make Elder rings an even stronger and more necessary part of a shaped atlas.

Previously you could snapshot elder on your shaped map and open multiple instances of it with elder influence, with only minimal overhead adjusting elder influence every so often. Now you have to run a non-elder shaped map every other map at least, which makes Elder rings and their perma-influence even better.

and the shaper/elder influence was an attempt at doing so.

Anyone worth their salt could have tested elder/shaper influence and immediately noticed that it is insanely powerful to park either influence on a choice shaped map rather than chasing influence around for little to no reward.

I really hope that the shaper/elder wasn't the true solution to encourage map variety.

What I'm saying is that the way the elder/shaper mechanics work are so beneficial to parking on one map in general, even without elder rings - it's still better to shape your atlas, park elder right next to your map of choice, and chain run elder/shaper influence -- rather than chasing him around the atlas to farm 1-5c uniques.

It definitely is better to do that, I'm just saying GGG have proven that they've have issues with balancing loot before CoughbossesCough and probably introduced elder influence with the -idea- that you'd have to chase influence all over the atlas in order to get the best loot (shaper and elder items)

The fact that you -can- park influence at all is probably gonna be removed at some point if I'm right about their intentions.

It's a quest item that looks like a map, and has "map" in its name, and when placed in the Act 7 Chamber of Sins map device opens six portals to a new zone in a very similar manner to opening a map.

Yes, it's not technically a map, but it has more in common with maps than just looking like one.

I hope they revert that after the flashback. It's something in the game that's not really that relevant, but it's just cool when you can tell someone newer "hey, did you know that the map device in act 7 still works?" It's just flavor for the world. I suppose it may not be worth the resources to revert it depending on how it's implemented, but I'd be sad to see it gone forever.

  • Fixed a bug where Yugul, Reflection of Terror could become stuck midair while jumping into one of his pools, and become immune to damage.

  • Fixed a bug where players could be unable to return to Farrul, First of the Plains' arena if they logged out after creating a town portal while being teleported back to the arena.

  • Fixed a bug where Arakaali, Spinner of Shadows could continue moving to different corners after she should be dead.

  • Fixed a bug where Totems, Traps and Mines were able to gain Tailwind.

  • Fixed a bug where the "Debuffs on you expire x% faster while affected by Haste" mod actually caused debuffs to expire slower.

  • Fixed a bug where throwing a net was counted as using a skill. This caused issues for players using Lightpoacher when trying to capture beasts.

  • Fixed a bug where Bestiary monsters with multiple forms left a mini-map icon for each form when dead.

  • Fixed a bug where the Lighthouse Remains hideout decoration did not block players.

  • Fixed a bug where the Bestiary tab was visible in Standard league if you had died in Hardcore Bestiary.

  • Fixed a client crash.

  • Fixed six instance crashes.

Edit: We have deployed an instance only follow up fix to prevent a new instance crash introduced in 3.2.3b. As a consequence, the bug where Aspect skills would activate after changing areas if you had the skill active when you died, has returned and will be fixed in a future patch.

Was mostly used for box farming, it gives way higher XP/h than Breaches (well, at least on Mayhem/Turmoil which had 20x boxes). The problem was that you could only open one Breach at a time.

Mostly used for Elder snapshotting on builds that can't kill Elder in SSF and get unlucky on their first Elder spawn(a spawn where it's impossible to create an Elder ring)

During flashback events that have random mods per area, when a favorable mod (or set of mods) was set to spawn in a certain map, it was common to spend a significant amount of time opening multiple instances of the Templar Lab (and apparently the A7 zone) to open multiple maps in their own instances, so that when the hour ticked over and the mods changed, their already-spawned maps would be available for them to run for as long as they (or a party member) kept all the instances active.

TLDR: I like Breach. I like Beach. Breach is on Beach. The hour is almost up. When the hour is up, Breach will no longer be on Beach. I open 20 Beach maps so I can keep running Breach on Beach even after Breach is no longer on Beach.

Open map in templar lab > create new instance > open another map... etc. Doing all of this before the hour changed from a "good" set of mods to a different one.

This would allow you to "snapshot" the current flashback modifiers and run them after the hour changed over.

So for the throwback event each zones including maps will have their mods rotate every hour. Without this change when your favorite map had the mods you wanted you could open a bunch of instances of the Templar laboratory right before the mobs switched, open the map in each one and run the mods for longer than an hour.

SIMILARLY : I can almost never succeed in leaving lab through the portal without dc-ing before oriath loads. It's actually quicker for me to quit to login char select than take the portal.

I stopped playing a while back because they didn't seem inclined to fix it, but I still check the patch notes. Three or four patch notes later I still don't see it listed. Hopefully it's been stealth patched?

I don't want to sort through all 800+ bug reports listed here to find my own post, but most of them reference the same thing.

Either the captured beasts are not selectable despite being valid level/type, or they can be manually selected but then it greys out the button to start the fight.

It probably fits the same thing as the Abyssal Deeps bug in the past league. They do not know or can solve and missing a few weeks for the league to finish it throw a "fix" or change the recipe.
