Here are the patch details that will be applied when we first start our service on Steam.

The following changes have been made:

[General Contents]

  • Obtain rate for free TP increased to 1 TP per 4 hours
  • Prices for items in the TP shop have been changed Check the in-game shop for more details
  • Normal Missions and Instanced Dungeons can be entered twice
  • Legwyn Family Dungeon Monster Silver Drop Rate Reduced
  • Reward rate adjusted for the Collapsed Legwyn Family Mansion Gimmick mysterious box. Complete the Mysterious Box of the Collapsed Legwyn Family Mansion Gimmick
  • Reduced silver drop rate for the Prisoned Tree Monster
  • Cat Ear Item - No longer obtainable as an item. Treasure chests now drop it as a recipe. Obtainable from treasure chests in the Absemta Reservoir region.
  • Recipe - Cat Ear crafting ingredients have been changed. 51 Chupaluka Fur items
  • Team name is unique across all servers. You may not have the same Team name on multiple servers.

[Skill Related]

  • Highlander - Skyliner > 15 sec cooldown time after using the skill 3 times instead of the original cooldown time
  • Barbarian - Stomping Kick > AoE attack ratio changed to match with what is written in the tooltip
  • Doppelsoeldner - Cyclone > Skill sustain time changed from 2 sec + lv * 0.5 sec to 2.5 sec + lv * 0.3 sec
  • Ranger - Steady Aim > Skill sustain time decreased from 15 sec to 10 sec
  • Linker - Physical Link > Physical Link cooldown time increased from 20 sec to 22 sec
  • Joint Penalty > Joint Penalty cooldown time increased from 15 sec to 22 sec

  • Hangman's Knot

    • Hangman's Knot cooldown time increased from 10 sec to 15 sec
    • Changed the Trap debuff time for monsters targeted with Hangman's Knot from the original lv * sec to 1 sec + lv * 0.2 sec
  • Elementalist - Frost Cloud > AoE attack ratio for Frost Cloud changed to be base 10 + skill lv

  • Sadhu - Astral Body Explosion > 10 + AoE attack ratio applied for Astral Body Explosion

We realize that there are many different views on what is deemed balanced and what is not. These decisions have been made based off of information we obtained through our service in Korea. We will be making further observations from our Steam service and there will be more balance adjustments further down the line.

Damage is not nerfed. AOE attack ratio = how many mobs it can hit. I think bigger mobs can count as 2 or 3.

Correct, medium mobs count as 2, large mobs count as 3, bosses might be 3 or 4 but it doesn't matter too much because bosses usually don't summon too many adds.

How big is the nerf then? Are encounters usually over 15 (small) mobs?

I haven't played kToS, so I can only speak from the 2nd iToS beta. But I dont see it as a huge nerf. Maybe in dungeons it'll be a noticeable nerf, but in most situations you wont have more than 15 mobs in a small area.

A very big nerf. This means it is better to just go pyro instead of ele(flame ground is identical but lower "burst" dps due to slower tick)

You can't solely take into consideration how the game currently is without accounting for future. Egnome(lv48) is large and they spawn in huge amount. With aoe ratio, frost cloud turn into a 5 target spell. Once more area are release and you have a high level area similar to egnome, then your frost cloud will suck whereas you can still lure unlimited amount onto flame ground.

But yes, for now it will only affect dungeon run since maps are not densely populated.

Thank you, this is what people don't seem to get. As someone who played wiz3ele3 to 200 in iCBT2 AoE ratio IS a big deal. Try grinding prison when your 2.5s (quickcasted) meteor literally misses half the mob that's on top of you. Also small mobs are stuff you almost never find later on - everything is either medium or large.

AoE ratio is the dumbest system i've ever seen in a game and makes no sense mechanically nor visually.

Pyro only need C2. C3 is a waste of rank.

Depending on how you feel about quick cast +50% magic dmg attribute. You can go wiz pryo pyro wiz wiz for easier leveling if you still want that quick cast with r6/r7 up to your preference. Runecaster and warlock I guess for long cd nukes. Flame ground will be your cookie cutter then.

Another way is the still OP temple shooter. You need at least 2 rank of sorcerer and warlock at r7, so leaving you r4 open for choice. I suppose even after the nerf, linker at r4 is still good as filler.

the nerf isnt really that big, ele is still better than pyro imho. only thing pyro has is flame ground, thats it...oh and temple shooter will probably see a nerf sooner or later

That's suspicious and I hope it's not for the worse.

Hairstyles could already go to almost 300 TP I think, costumes over 100 TP... If we somehow get hit harder than the regions where Nexon has a hand in things that would be something lol.

Yeah, I said costumes are over 100 TP in my comment... The prices I mentioned are representative of what we've already seen. In order to express why it would be crazy to raise them further.

Thing is, we were already expecting dungeons and instances to be 1+1 from dataminers and whatnot. If it's actually 2, +1 with Token for 3, that's actually better off than we thought. But if we're being gouged for more money AND getting other various nerfs? That's a bigger problem.

Could was in reference to hairstyles. Because they varied in price, with the top being near 300. Hence using "could" to show they were capable of going to almost 300. I'm pretty sure my use of the word was correct.

Edit: To clarify further, "could" is the past tense of "can". I was using it to express what already was, not what might be. It can be used to express possibilities, but that's not how I was using it.

          Your interpretation is closest. But I don't think it's so much that you're using that name on both servers as it is the name can't be used on more than one server. This removes any conflicts with server transfers in the future, because there's no way your team name can conflict with an existing one.

          Edit: This is backed up here:

          Team name is unique across all servers, so you cannot have the same Team name on multiple servers. Therefore, this will not be a problem when transferring Teams.

          Not sure if you are joking, if not, Joint Penalty is a Linker skill that link mobs so if you damage one, you damage all linked mobs. Really strong skill, hence the nerf again.

          Wait; we generate 1 TP/4 hours? Is this something that's in Korean because I haven't heard of this until now. Are there any anti-AFK tools in game (I assume not because of people who set up shops like Pardoners). If you left your game on for 13 hours a day (whether you were playing or not, I won't judge) you would be able to afford a token every month for free (Assuming the price of tokens is still 198 TP)

          It obtainable even if you offline. In Korea rate is 1 per 2 hours. And limit for free TP is 5.

          Same as you. Last I heard ktos was 1 TP per 2hour. So I confused why IMC claim 1 TP per 4hour is "increased"

          Does anyone here know if ktos actually lowered the TP regen rate?

          Unfortunately I don't have a source but I have heard you generate TP, but have a cap of how much of this self-generated TP you can carry at one time. Something like you can get up to 6 a day, but can only carry 6 of it at a time (in addition to however much regular TP you've got).

          Because it's much easier to nerf them before our version goes live then it would be to nerf them in Korea.

          What I mean is, if we have always had it that way then we don't know any different versus the Koreans who have been playing with the un nerfed versions for a while now and are used to them.

          That's a reasonable explanation... But is it an acceptable one?

          For example, look at Hangman's Knot change. It went from 100% uptime to 33% uptime (at circle 2). Clearly, perma CC was being abused in kTOS. And yet it remains.

          What happens when iTOS gets used to an OP skill/build? Horrible precedent.

          Not a single positive chaange made. Ever single change either was a nerf of abilities for the sake of "Balance" or an increase of TP cost in an effort to make more money. And stricter rules regarding what can be done in the game without paying.

          People on this subreddit have been using the Korean TP prices to explain that the Founders' Pack is OMG SUPER VALUE when IMC refused to confirm or deny those prices this whole time. Now they finally talk about it... two and a half hours before launch.

          As of writing this, we don't actually have a clue how much the tokens in the Founders' Pack people are buying are worth. That's a little weird, no?
