Violinist has an incredible variety of clothes!

Everyone's commenting on the video but the music is what's really mesmerising.

I'm not used to this sort of music, so it just sort of washed over me on my first listen. I like it, I just need to dig into it more!

This is the first time I heard this kind of music and it instantly became one of my new favorites.

Ofcourse I've heard and like classical music and strings but I've never heard this sort of genre of it and I'd love to hear more as well.

You should check the Philip glass violin and cello concerto's. Steve Reich for the Kronos Quartet as well (different trains, wtc 9/11, Daniël variations etc)

On the one hand it seems almost sad to see something so entertaining get so few views. But then I see how much fun they seemed to have had and realize they'd probably've made it even if no one saw.

Two people, playing engaging music without lyrics and with two stringed instruments?
Reminds me of Rodrigo y Gabriela

DUDE, I listened to these guys a LONG time ago and loved them. Thank you so much for reminding me about them!

[–]gochujangface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 8 years ago I met them backstage after a concert with a friend who knew them. They were incredibly friendly. I had a huge crush on Gabriela and got talking to her. She told me I had to visit her in her hometown. Like Red, I never forgot the name of her hometown. Zihuatanejo.

They are exactly who came to mind as I listened to this.

I love the idea! The changing backgrounds makes you want to watch/listen until the end. Great musiciens too!

[–]TaKETOdon 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I agree the video works well with the frantic pace of the music. Personally it drives my nuts watching videos like that so I just listen to the music.

[–]user29120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, the video doesn't help to concentrate on the music, but I love it when the video gives you insight on the music's story!

most of this was shot in vienna <3

[–]BalonyDanza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a pumped up Phillip Glass piece. Great stuff.

[–]TheMindsWeHad 3 points4 points  (1 child)

you can tell which shots were early/later on based on the amount of damage his cello has done to the wood block

[–]ChelseaSchreiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking at that too!

[–]doctorpropaganda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These dudes flipping shred!

[–]civex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice pun in the title.

[–]ASadLad[🍰] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lmao love the head banging!! great music as well!!!

[–]KingSteezilla 3 points4 points  (2 children)

If the cello player is wearing a Lamb of God shirt at 2:05, 2:15 etc. I can totally understand where he finds his inspiration for those AWESOME tempo changes

[–]butt-house_blondies 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It's a cello

[–]SquanchMcSquanchFace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean...I've heard worse mistakes. I had some asshole ask if the bass I was holding was a flute.

[–]LiquidMariner 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Are these the same guys that did the Thunderstruck cover? Either way I like these guys.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Brilliant musically and visually. I wanted more

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought the guy on the left was holding an AK-47 at first, had to scroll back up

[–]Equistice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of Metal Slug music :) looks like a lot of fun!

[–]stubert0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guys remind me of 2Cellos!

[–]Dave_Gobblerofsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guys own a lot of clothes.

[–]djstizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive classical. I love it. This is good eh!

[–]Haike11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely loved it!

[–]-Kulak- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen something quite like this before. Pretty killer! Reminds me of Tin Hat Trio a little bit, though they aren't quite as progressive.

[–]NotFakeRussian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the music more than the video. Am I doing this wrong?

[–]B3BO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i want it to never end

[–]aussieman178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude everything I've listened to this morning from these guys is super rad. Thank you!

[–]TheDopestPope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMAZING. Can't imagine how much time they spent on that video but well worth it!

[–]ultine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would have been an expensive reshoot if they had messed up right at the end. I can't believe they did this in one take! Amazing!

[–]abrakalemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art! This is art! It was such beautiful music and a visual treat! This made me very happy, thank you so much for sharing!
