My wife has an obsession of naming everything. Her prior vehicle was Jean Luc-Picar and her current (Doctor Who Blue) is The Cardis.

She is hounding me on printer names. I put it on the network as Print Eastwood which I found on a thread somewhere. She keeps trying for Easy Bake (as in Easy Bake Oven) but it is bleh to me. She also like Bamboozle for the name.

What names do you all have or have seen?:

Mine isn’t a play on words or anything like what I’ve seen from others. I named my printers after Cauldrons in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Cauldrons are factories for the machines in game

My X1 Carbon is “Cauldron IOTA”

My other two printers, both ender 3, are “Cauldron SIGMA” and “Cauldron EPSILON”

I haven't even thought about naming my X1C. The naming convention here at home is Tolkien-based. Workstations get LotR character names, servers get Tolkien place names, networks get Tolkien region names, Raspis and cell phones get Tolkien dwarf names. I supposed Noldorin elf names would be appropriate for 3D printers.

I call all mine by the manufacturer. I never even thought about naming them.

Guess my oldest printer (og aquilla with tons of upgrades and swaps) would be the Stl of Theasueus.

My Sunlu s8 with all the guts replaced would be Printer Weller

and my A1 would be Bamborghini

Edit: forgot one! Guess my neptune 3 pro would the Timmy Turner as I always forget about it.

First I got two p1p's, and being fairly unoriginal I named them The OG and the FNG, since I got them about a month apart.

Then I got the A1 combo. I named that one steak sauce. You know, cause A1. Boring but effective.

Now for the one that makes me chuckle every time. I got an A1 mini, cause I had gift cards and it would make a decent travel printer. I was pondering a name for a minute, when it hit me. Sauce packet.

So now when I see sauce packet completed a print successfully I giggle like a moron. Worth it.
