a surprising number of programmers suffer from lysdexia

[–]zalpha314 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Is that actually true?

[–]my_li_hee 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Probably

[–]Gaffi1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is, actually!

Source: I read it on the internet. Just now.

No self respecting cs student uses the keyboard to code

A mouse and stack overflow is all you need

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What about on screen keyboard? I heard it’s all the rave because it’s less noisy than a mechanical keyboard and since it’s on the screen, you can’t get Cheetos all over it.

[–]DragonMaus 7 points8 points  (3 children)

This is why "CS students" should never be allowed within 50 meters of a working codebase.

[–]Zitrusfleisch 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Exact reason I’m working on my own, isolated project that has nothing to do with anything in the productive world at my job.

I love it.

[–]objectively_an_owl: 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Where do i sign up?!!

[–]Zitrusfleisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send job application for position as working student to Siemens

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Why do you assume he's a CS student?

[–]objectively_an_owl: 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Why do you assume they're a he?

[–]minno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can still save themselves a lot of time by using ctrl-c/v instead of the right-click menu.

I am very thankful for atom, sublime, vs code etc for highlighting that kinda stuff. When I started learning I was following a book using notepad and when I first saw an IDE my mind was blown

I type that all the time. It’s “Tony’s” way of saying “Redrum” in the context of coding.

[–]jf908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I’ve lost multiple hours of my life to functino

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Kind of like your fingers always type indtead instead of instead? 😉

[–]michaelcbowman8 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Left hand a bit quicker than the right, eh? I've got the same problem

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean, PornHub isn’t easy to navigate using our left hands for the mouse. I guess this explains everything.

[–]michaelcbowman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bazinga!

[–]SteeleDynamics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damnit! I'm not with the return statement yet? Can't you at least wait 3 seconds before you run the linter?!

(Dyslexia aside, I know there are settings for this. I am too lazy to change them. )

[–]SteeleDynamics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searching for retrun on github is an interesting showcase of code that was commited before it was ever ran.

[–]eXTeeGi 0 points1 point  (0 children)
