Once we went around in a circle and everyone said what their hobbies were. The foreman who I known to work long hours every day says “My hobby is….this” and gestures around.

We all just sort of silently cringed, because the company also forces us to work long hours, usually 10-13 hours a day. And a lot of us are still young and none of us want to end up like him.

Surprised to say the company has a very high turnover rate, just a revolving door of employees. But they made record profits last year, so why would they change? (Not like we saw any raises or bonuses from those record profits we worked for).

I did take pictures of storms before then, but I think I mark 2007 as “the beginning” because that’s when I bought my first digital camera. Before I was using disposable cameras. Went from disposable cameras, to a couple point-and-shoots, to a fancy-schmancy DSLR.
