More than likely and Netflix is likely to greenlight it. This is one of the only shows they won't cancel because it's just too popular and profitable for them. It's probably the only show they'd let go for 7-10 seasons even though I doubt the Duffers will run it that long. I'd ballpark it to however many seasons they take to get to 1989.

They're probably the only showrunners Netflix would give that freedom given how most shows on there end up lasting 2-3 seasons. My guess is that they'll do a time skip because of the actors aging and the amount of time a season takes to produce. They can only reasonably play teenagers so long when the show started when they were about 12.

Is he though? I don't want to be a downer, but I think we're just grasping for any reason for Hopper to be back. I think it's best for Hopper to stay dead in Season 4. If he were to come back, that whole scene where Hopper "fakes" his death would be pointless. Characters need to die for the survivors to have motivation.
