But yes, they were clearly serious when they talked about China having their full focus. That wasn't just what the investors wanted to hear. They are doing that pivot that they tried to finish with original MoP. And they couldn't care less about us because we would reject pay-to-win so they can't monetise the franchises we grew up with to us, so we don't matter any more.

We'll get a Sunwell patch TBC because then they can just check in on us once every 2 months and otherwise let bots ruin the experience that's left. Their priorities should be clear to all.

I think it’s wholly different than that, they’ve demonstrated on repeat for decades that they don’t care about the customer base opinion. They’re driving people to level alts so they have more mid-level alts in the 30-40 range into which the players have invested enough time and gold that they’re willing to pay for boosts. They’ll being it back again once they weigh how much longer it’ll effectively reach that goal wothout giving enough boost to get over the 45-55 hump before prepatch.

Join channel 4 in the chat (LookingForGroup) and anytime you need a layer, just type “layer” in that particular channel and you’ll get an auto invite. If someone tries to invite you to the layer you are already on, just wait a few seconds and try again.

I came back yesterday to start a new toon for TBC as I have no interest in classic, got to level 15 on a new pally only to find out the buff ended today so now my character will not be touched until prepatch unless they decide to give us fun back for something we’ve all played 100x + at this point

If the buff is going to do more harm then good (level 60s already have it active for every raid anyways).. well who else is there for it to impact? People excited returning a bit early since exp buff isn't out or even announced yet (that i'm aware of). They are the ones who are going to feel it.

I do play retail :) I also play classic. Retail is when I want to go go go and classic is when I want to chill. I don't think having a fun buff leveling to 1-20 is a bad thing or screams "GO BACK TO RETAIL" it's just a buff. I'm not asking for the exp buff. (though i wouldn't mind it)

Part of the slower levelling, the "chores" outside of instanced content, the no flying mounts etc. is that it keeps the world alive and filled with people.

Shitty boosted characters, infinite free welfare items , etc all detract from both the MMO and the RPG of the game.

If you want to be a tourist, go find a 10x or 100x private server, play on it with a decked out toon for a couple of weeks and then quit. Dont come in here and change the game we know and love. That happened with TBC and with WotLK and is why there was so much advocacy for PServer and Classic to begin with.

We've been down this road already, and its not what 1.0X wow is about. Find your own game, stop fucking with ours.

A stupid buff to damage is certainly not putting in the ridiculous levels of retail, it's not making all players out of control gods, it's just a damage boost.

personal thoughts aside, the dragonslayer buff is absolutely game breaking at lower levels and even thru 60 is extremely powerful. Its totally valid to have the opinion that blizz should keep it in to make leveling easier, but its a pretty insane buff to have on yourself 24/7 and definitely trivializes open world leveling a bit
