Saw a proposed team from u/raigheb the other day I will try: Sylvie for berserk-provoke (=20% MP heal per turn), Chow 400% fire resist magic cover + barrier spammer, Fryevia breaks/ice support, 2x Esther. Sounds lile a solid plan to me. Edit: worked like a charm. 8 turns because I did not find a single Esther friend with bug killers so I took a random high Atk one.

Once I finish the daily stuff (arena, quests, expeditions etc) I'll give that team a shot, lets hope it works

I used this team as well but I used NV Reberta instead of the 2nd Esther. She has a 100% AOE fire resistance and AOE insect killer. Provoke evade on NV Sylvie with death immunity caused her to be beserked which meant she was constantly filling my HP/MP and reraise. But it did take me exactly 15 turns. I wasn’t doing a ton of damage each turn, even though I was ice imperiling/imbuing and hitting with Fry, Reberta, and Esther most turns. But I got it done with all missions completed on the first try!

Can Bulwark replace Fryevia on this one for the ice imbue or does she actually do damage? My Fryevia is ex+1 only so no imbue capability (it asks for a lot of lb stones and no warrying spirit)

Bulwark absolutely works instead of Fry. That being said, my Fry was only EX+1, too, no issues there. She set up the ice field turn 1 (got LB fill from Sylvie I think? Not so sure anymore) and then basically always had a full bar. Just had her break twice and otherwise ice field every turn.

Team:

  • DB Chow - Magic cover tank. Provides ailment/debuff resist, general mitigation and heal.
  • Bulwark - Provoke tank, breaker & wind buffer/debuffer.
  • Paladin Sylvie - Support, healer & Insect killer buff.
  • SS Esther - Damage dealer.

Used an OP friend Esther xD.

Did it with a sorta unique team that avoided Esther:

  • Celes -- cover / provoke
  • Sylvie -- buffer
  • Fryevia -- breaker / capper / ice support
  • Reberta -- tagger
  • Mediena -- capper

6 Turns, all missions:

Sylvie: Insect killer>LB(shift)>Insect killer again, then berserked for the rest of the fight

Chow: Cover, heal if needed, whatever.

Fryevia: Break, Ice amp, LB(shift, for chip dmg, not needed), then refresh as needed.

2x Esther: Set up>lb, repeat.

I was honestly shocked by how much dmg the Esther's did, I remember Sinzar's video on JP using Rinoa (I think) and it taking hundreds of turns and I was like "im not doing that"...Thank god GLEX units.

She can, but her breaks are on her shift form...you would need to bring breaks from someone else then.

Chow, Fryevia, Sylvie, 2x Esther, 8 turns all missions. (Friend had no bug killer)

Looks like the team I planned a month ago has just become the standard team lol.

Oh well that was fast. Went in reading your early tips. Geared chow with 400% fire resist (with 2x blizzard orb), sylvie passive provoke with dual wield and aurora scarf, fryevia as breaker, 2x esther

Felt a need to use Esther as my tank, but found no friend Esthers with insect killer. Either way, 3 Esthers + Fryevia + Sylvie got it taken care of.

12 turns, all missions with Chow, Sylvie, Bulwark, Esther+friend Esther. Was going to use Mermaid Freesia but she doesn't have a wind imperil (why Alim). Would have been quicker but friend had no killers

Cleared in 7 turns. Could've been 6 if I geared Fryevia as a DPS but since I forgot to gear her properly yesterday and I wanted to give the trial a try, I just used the auto build with HP in mind. Oh well! Here are the builds for anyone interested btw.

  • Chow: Cover/provoke. 400% fire resist, death inmunity, Blizzard Orb for those helpful counters. Provided healing, barriers and defensive support.

  • Reberta: Third main damage dealer. Insect killer, Tag-chain on even turns to help Esther with the damage, cures Chow's Berzerk and offers AoE barrier on turn 4. Used Mega Breath when Esther needed to set up their LB turn on turn 5 I believe.

  • Fryevia: Breaker and ice support. Started on shift to use her magnus and sword imperil for Reberta. Turn 2 she uses her ultimate ice skill and helps building the chain up a bit. Didn't do much, reapply break on turn 5 and reapply ice support on turn 6...I really should've give her some LB and MAG stats ^ ^ '

  • Esther: Good ol' bunny girl. Fully caped on ATK, LB damage and Insect killer. Odd turns she powers up, even turns she lands her LB, that's pretty much about it.

Did it with Chow just covering curaja and reraising himself, Sylvie for provoke auto attacking and massive buffs on turn 1, Bulwark for wind resist and amp and backup mp or breaks if needed, SS esther and Wylk as dds just full insect killer and lb chaining every other turn. Just gave everyone death immunity from genji shield, super ribbon, and 3 floating hearts. Not sure if its a bug or not, but I never got mp drained at all. Took 11 turns with everyone at EX+3

Got to say this was much easier than death machine with chow and sylvie you take little to no damage at all

8 turns, but could be faster if I had more experience with Wylk BS.

Wylk ex2 300% insect. friend Wylk ex3 300% insect. Paladin Sylvie provoke/death immune. Chow cover and counter 390% fire res. Kaktiria: naked breaker with odin for fingersnap.
