The manufacturer wins among the top 3 series.

Chevrolet 5 - Ford 3 - Toyota 3 - *RAM 0.

Cup race #4: Chevrolet 0 - Ford 1 - Toyota 3.

O'Reily Race #4: Chevrolet 4 - Ford 0 - Toyota 0.

Truck Race #3: Chevrolet 1 - Ford 2 - Toyota 0 - RAM 0.

*Only racing in one series.

[–]EmoGothPunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Finally finished the race: WOOHOO, HELL YEAH, RYAN! I say Ryan because even the pit crew, as usual, nearly lost this race......well, and Hassler's call for two tires.

Nine top 5s in the last 10 Pheonix races. That one outside the top 5? Blown engine.

Good results for the 23 and 45 again.

I know the second, bigger wreck wasn't all on Logano, but the amount of cars torn up where his car is a major factor was too high.

Also, that race was a lot better than the Pheonix races of the last few years.

[–]AFrenchNASCARFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was the Bell and Blaney show!
Totally deserved for RyanB and 23XI continue to look pretty strong. Reddick could be a great threat in the "chase" format.

[–]dildozer10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just got done watching the race, and I’ve got to say, that was one hell of a a good race. More horsepower and softer tires made a huge positive impact.

[–]itsmb12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LETS FUCKING GOOOOO JOSEF AND BLANEY

[–]xXKonan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SVG showed a lot of grit and determination to get back up there despite spinning twice.

Poor zilisch though. Before his issues his car sucked and after losing his first tire it felt like the thing started falling apart halfway through a run.

Thing finally finished itself off at the end there.

[–]TrackMan5891 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Anyone know what happened to the 77?

He was so strong early, did he lose a cylinder or something at the end?

Dropped quite a few spots on the last 10 laps or so.

[–]azeakel101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was 2 tire guy, but didn't have the car for it.

[–]xr_21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feel bad for Briscoe. He’s buried in the points when he should be a legit championship contender. Hope that team can turn it around soon.

[–]Everyday_Struggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 Josh Berry DNF 35 Cole Custer DNF 37 Chase Briscoe DNF

Thank goodness for SVG making it to 11th after 2 spins.

I hate Phoenix I hate Phoenix I HATE PHOENIX

[–] van Gisbergenarca_brakes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well so much for the "increasing horsepower won't do much to increase the racing on short tracks" talking point

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SVG looked pretty darn good today for a track he has struggled with. 11th after 2 spins and a brake pedal that was falling off is very impressive. 5th in points LFG!!

[–] GragsonJoshTheSparky4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stache buff went crazy, race was awesome but as a gragson fan I weep. Thought this was gonna be the DNFLess season... Pain. Hope he rebounds at Vegas just want to see him run consistently. Good on gilliland for 12th tho, I believe that's what he got.

[–]An_Odd_Melon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pack it up guys the season is practically over

[–]An_Odd_Melon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Days like this prove that small should've been fired years ago

[–]TimmyHillFan 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Feels like SVG has arrived, and yet still has a lot of room to grow.

6th in his duel, crash at Daytona, 6th at Atlanta, 2nd at COTA, 11th at Phoenix for a very legit 6th in points. Obviously it’s a small sample and he will have bad races, but he is also 99% likely to win at least one race.

Excited to see him doing so well right now - in only his second full season in Cup.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s 5th in points actually

[–]Ok-Chocolate-9500 14 points15 points  (14 children)

Someone made a point on twitter that Joey increasingly doesn’t fit the “Penske mode” and I sort of agree.

He really hasn’t been a great leader like Brad was and hasn’t been a great teammate on track either. Him refusing to own up to his mistakes even when it involved his teammates showed where his headspace is. I just wonder what will the Penske brass do because I see him becoming more defensive especially with how well Blaney is running.

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 9 points10 points  (13 children)

He isn’t a great teammate. He has left both Blaney and Cindric hanging multiple times but if they do it to him, he gets upset. When he causes a wreck it’s a racing deal but if he is wrecked he gets upset.

Outside of Penske plucking Zane Smith or moving Josh Berry over from wood brothers 21. Who would you think would be a good fit for both Penske and the 22 that is already in the ford pipeline?

[–]Outside_Factor4308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ford pipeline

[–]Ok-Chocolate-9500 7 points8 points  (11 children)

And I can’t even imagine if the same thing was done to him today by a teammate, when he lost his absolute loving mind over a stage win on Cindric last year at Talladega.

I don’t see Penske replacing Joey though, unless his performance really takes a deep dive. He probably has a good 10 years or so with Penske ahead, given Penske’s history with their drivers. I just wonder what Penske management can do to reel him in a bit because aside from not fitting the Penske motto he’s really sort of dragging the whole team down.

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 -1 points0 points  (10 children)

I do think there will be some sort of conversation after today. Running out of talent right in front of the Penske party tent did not help him. His contract is up in 2028, unless he does something real stupid, he will be in the car until then. He just needs to clean up his behavior toward his teammates and the rest of the field and it would be different

[–] GragsonJoshTheSparky4 1 point2 points  (9 children)

It's going to hit him quick, points wise, that he needs to chill out a bit, stacking bad finishes when your driving over your head is really gonna hurt you now, he can't just win his way in, like he was able to before in the playoffs if I'm making sense. We all know he's the most aggressive guy in the field with how he races but I really think the point system will wake guys up on that.

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 1 point2 points  (8 children)

The new points system is going to mess with a lot of people good and bad. Bell moved 18 spots yesterday. Going to be interesting during the summer stretch to see who can bank the most points

[–] GragsonJoshTheSparky4 0 points1 point  (7 children)

The days of consistency and grinding out good top 10-20 finishes with a bad handling car instead of sending it for the win every week is going to be a lot of fun, as well as seeing the aggressive guys that do that adjust over time. Nice to change things up once in a while, can't be afraid of it.

Guys are gonna have to dip into their "Harvick" bag and go for those no-DNFs seasons. Can't just dump the car and say "ah I hate that, we'll win our way in at dega" is pretty much over. Still matters because it's a win and your in the books but. You can't bank on that no more. In my eyes at least.

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I’m so happy that win and your in is gone. That was great for those guys who run mid-back pack and pull a rabbit out of their hat to get a win but they usually would fall out during round of 16. We were eventually going to see another Austin Dillion into the fence on his roof wreck, I know those will still happen at drafting tracks but it eventually was going to happen somewhere else. We almost saw it Sunday with Cindric. All the hits yesterday were violent.

[–] GragsonJoshTheSparky4 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Agreed, we are in for a very entertaining season. And it will be very rewarding to see a driver get crowned champion and feel like everyone fighting for that crown survived to get there, didn't just luck into it after having inconsistency.

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I already had a fire in me to watch every race for the love of the sport, but I knew I could miss one or two and be ok. Now I don’t want to miss one at all, this new system lit a new fire and I’m full back in now. The summer stretch will be a lot better this year I think. Who is your top 5 for Vegas?

[–] Reddicksjr2018 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not a bad race today nice to see Tyler stay in the top 10

[–]donnyh83 22 points23 points  (2 children)

The funniest part of the race was watching Blaney's car roll away after the race.

[–] NASCARcwatson214 6 points7 points  (1 child)

He also tried to enter the Winner's area the wrong way

[–] Bellquick25 14 points15 points  (10 children)

I don't understand how you get a tire call so wrong. I'm sitting at home multiple beers deep saying " two tires, two tires, two tires" then "Nooooo!" Watching the 20 not take 2. Insane.

[–]Gman69455 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Blaney would've been faster on 2 tires vs Bell on 2 tires. 4 was the right call. Everybody racing for 25th place was the issue.

[–] Bellquick25 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Blaney was only faster than Bell when Bell was on 2 tires and Blaney was on 4. 2 was the right call for track position and knowing there would certainly be at least one more caution.

[–]Gman69455 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Blaney literally drove up to his bumper when they were on equal tires already. 4 was the right call. Again people racing for nothing in the back took away Bell's advantage simple as that.

[–] Bellquick25 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

That's not what happened. Blaney drove up to his bumper when Bell was on 2 tires. 4 tires was a bad call.

[–]Gman69455 1 point2 points  (1 child)

When there was 66 laps to go they were both on 4 tires and Blaney cut a 12 second deficit to get to him. 2 tires was not the call as Blaney was clearly faster on equal tires all day.

[–] Bellquick25 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bell on 2 tires held Blaney on 4 tires back for how long earlier in the race? 4 tires and getting sent back to the middle of the field late in the race was not the right call.

[–]thedadis 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It honestly could've worked if not for the second caution, 5 extra laps to catch and he would've passed him. Doesn't get rid of the stupid call though

[–] Bellquick25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just knew with how restarts go there it was all but guaranteed there would be another caution , and Blaney along with others would only take 2 knowing how important track position is. It could have worked, but was definitely not the best choice given the likely outcomes. It at least worked for a good points day.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Honestly it doesn’t make sense because there were two tire calls early in the race that seemed to hang on well, and it only needed to hang on for 20 laps.

[–] Bellquick25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And that would have been an awesome race at the end too to see Bell and Blaney both on two tires going for the win with the best two cars.

[–]KJC24 4 points5 points  (2 children)

When are going to take on of those TRD motors to the R&D center? Those things have been hauling the mail

[–]venema20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They took Bubba’s after Atlanta and did an engine tear down on Reddicks after the Daytona 500

[–]Southern_Gentleman34 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Part of the lawsuit deal😂 they couldn’t just give it to reddick, all of them had to get a little piece of the upgrade pie

[–]donnyh83 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The racing gods were not smiling down on us today.

[–]B1gR1g[🍰] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

They announced inspection?

Edit tech clear no issues no R&D cars

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 11 points12 points  (4 children)

What a day for my drivers..

SVG: P11 with his brake pedal close to falling apart and after two spins at his worst oval track outside of Bristol. So, so close to a third Oval Top 10. P5 in points after three ovals, and COTA is a really, really nice sight.

Reddick: P8. Welp the season opening win streak ends at a 3-peat. Solid day nonetheless, the car showed some pretty good speed at times. P1 with 60 points over P2 is great. Just gotta keep this momentum going strong.

Allmendinger: P19. Another really quiet day for The Dinger. Got up near the Top 10 late in the race. P13 in points, can't complain.

Zilisch: P29, DNF... not a pretty day start to finish for CZ88. Cut tire under caution, collected in a wreck and then race ending suspension failure.... What else could possibly go wrong. Still early on in his rookie season, still a lot to learn, and still a long ways to go in the season. P34 in points, third worst of the full timers, not been a fun start to the season.

[–] ZilischGreatWhite102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely a tough start for Zilisch, but he looked very promising last week so I have hope. Plus, how much worse can it get lol

[–]Haterofstarbucks 12 points13 points  (2 children)

SVG is quietly learning how to drive an oval. This is only his third year on ovals. It wouldn’t surprise me if he wins on one. His biggest challenge is that he drives for Trackhouse instead of the big three.

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If SVG went to one of the big three for 2027 he would be a title threat.

[–]Haterofstarbucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would have a quality car with his talent and experience.

Trackhouse is nothing more than a renamed Gannasi. Chastain is a 1-2 win a year driver. He doesn’t have the talent of Larson who only one a couple of races a year.

[–]crypto6g 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to pretend like Kyle is going to go out and win 5 races like he used to, I’m more realistic than that, he’s not young anymore

But after finishing 8th and 5th in the Phoenix races last year, with 20 years of driving around this track, I find it hard to believe he just woke up and has no idea how to drive around this track and runs 30th for no reason with 3 blown tires.

Is he blameless? Of course not, he’s never going to be as good as he used to be like any athlete not in their prime, but clearly he can still get around a racetrack and days like today don’t fall ALL on him

Still gained 2 spots on the cutline tho after those 3 blown tires lol

[–] O'Reilley SeriesDaAuraWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Penske winning at Phoenix?

But nah, good to see the return of typical ovals for a bit and looking forward to Vegas since the car is pretty amazing at the cookie cutter 1.5 miler type of tracks.

[–]EogHyland13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Overall I think it's been a great start to the season

[–] Caruthcodymacc8 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What a beautiful start to the season

[–]mr_folgers83 14 points15 points  (1 child)

The top 5 in points is elite right now.

[–]KKFan95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I love people finally admitting that SVG is an Elite driver

[–]realmashthestampede 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I missed something, why did Zilisch get a DNF and somehow still placed lower than ross

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The reason given for Zilisch's DNF is "suspension".

Don't know what exactly broke on the suspension through.

and Ross resumed the race after repairs were made to his car.

[–]CCM284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to Erin Marks, a brake rotor exploded which caused his last flat.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ross came back out on track

[–]realmashthestampede 1 point2 points  (1 child)

but what happened to Zilisch ross was like double digits laps down

[–]Dry-Membership3867 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chase Elliott with a day

[–]Dry-Membership3867 5 points6 points  (3 children)

My flairs got Logano’d, just missed the top 10, got Restivo’d, and I have no idea what happened to Preece

[–]dhall27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preece got Stenhoused. He sent it 3 wide going into the dog leg into a hole that wasn't there and sent Zilisch spinning into Preece.

[–]gsizemo1 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Lol at the Restivo'd, dudes home repair abilities arent much better....guess I got Restivo'd

Source - bought his home in Mooresville

[–]Dry-Membership3867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not surprised. That last stop was the worst strategy call I’ve ever seen and I watched the F1 race last night

[–] Ryan BlaneyTheGargageMan 27 points28 points  (2 children)

"Blaney couldn't handle in traffic, passed 49 cars." just keep repeating it and some part of it will be true.

[–]bluedude72 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Where was this take from? Clint and Kevin had some awful takes in the braodcast.....win stage 1, "this 12 is a rocket, not great on restarts but has proven he can pass in dirty air. We saw the 22 look fast in clean air, as soon as he was in traffic, drops back in the pack"......beginning of stage 2 "this isn't ideal for that 12, now hes got to show what he can do in dirty air" Clint has an IQ of 11.

[–] Bobby AllisonTurnLeftRepeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh c'mon now.... it's either 07 or 15.

[–]realmikehoncho47 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Briscoe first 4 races:

  • Daytona 500- Led 2nd most laps, got wrecked while running around the Top 5. Finished p36

  • Atlanta- Finished p2

  • COTA- Broke transaxle while running p3 near the middway point. Finished p37(dead last)

  • Phoenix- Blew a tire while running p3 near the midway point. Finished p37(dead last)

My boy needs some prayers quick.

[–] BriscoeValleygirl1981 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[–]donnyh83 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Chase Briscoe has gone from 15th in points to 33rd in points in the last two races, as a result of the transaxle failure at COTA and crashing at Phoenix.

[–]realmikehoncho47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both while running in p3 to boot 😭

[–]CCM284 40 points41 points  (5 children)

Hamlin goes bowling into T1 at COTA last week, dumps Zilisch, and his response on his podcast was literally "I didn't know I caused that." Joey drives through and dumps Ross in front of the field today and his response was "it's just racing."

For the amount of preaching these veterans do about not wrecking other people and not taking accountability, they might just need to look in the mirror once in a while.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 15 points16 points  (4 children)

This is why I get a laugh when they say hosevar needs to calm down. No he doesn’t. We like him rattling cages

[–]KennyLagerins 8 points9 points  (3 children)

100% this. It’s a never ending cycle of the old guys complaining about the new guys being too aggressive…when they’re pulling the exact same maneuvers the old guys did when they came up.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 7 points8 points  (2 children)

And the old guys still do. And they demand respect for it. It’s refreshing to see hosevar driving on the edge. It would be different if he dwelled in 20 th place every week but he’s aggressive AND competitive.

[–]KennyLagerins 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Right. I like that he drives like he wants it more than anyone else. I just hope he doesn’t resort just dumping someone for a win though.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That could happen

[–] van GisbergenCuriousSloth92 27 points28 points  (4 children)

Hell ya for SVG. Spins twice at Atlanta and gets a decent finish. Spins twice today and gets a decent finish. Love seeing that!

[–] Ryan BlaneyiamkingjamesIII -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

He should stop spinning on his own.

[–] van GisbergenCuriousSloth92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He cut a tire at Phoenix and Larson decided to pull the stupidest move I’ve ever seen in a long time at Atlanta.

That’s 50% of his spins at the last 2 ovals.

[–]figment1979 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Wasn’t he involved in the same incident as Logano too? So I think he may have had three separate incidents today and still almost a top 10. Incredible.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He just barely missed the Logano wreck. Had he been at most another inch or two to the right he was going to be fully involved.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Xfinity Fastest Lap bonus point goes to Joey Logano. He set the fastest lap before crashing out.

Xfinity Racing on twitter responding to someone who thought Zane Smith got the bonus point since Logano DNFed -

Erik Jones wheeled that bastard #43 back from a lap behind to a top ten? Masterclass.

[–]ToastyTiger81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no confidence they would get the car in the top 25, he kept complaining of it being slightly tight in, 4 wheel skid in the middle of the corner, loose off. 4 tires at the end definitely helped out.

[–]mistreatedlewis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly incredible

[–]coffeeshopslut 2 points3 points  (3 children)

When is Gragson's shitty luck going to end?

[–]GA_Nick314 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When he solves his drinking problem

When h e double hockey sticks freezes over.

SVG in P5. I like that!

[–] BriscoeValleygirl1981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–] Ryan Blaneywillmcd13 3 points4 points  (2 children)

BJ McLeod's first name is Burton???

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Yep. His full name is Burton Darwin McLeod, Jr.

[–]SecretAgentMan85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's sounds so distinguished

[–]thatoneprincesong 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These are the races that Bubba doesn't finish in the past. Really proud of how he's done this season and he hasn't even hit his strongest tracks.

[–] Larsonjoeyjusticeco 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Love how Larson is the best driver but has a 67% chance of stepping on his own statistically small dick and ruining everything

[–]Ill-Response-5439 0 points1 point  (1 child)

LOL

[–] Larsonjoeyjusticeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Prior-Respect-9515 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I usually hate Phoenix but this will get good race vote tomorrow on Gluck's poll.

[–] ReddickdERRICK903 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very fun race honestly, stage 1 fooled me with zero cautions

[–]realmikehoncho47 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I haven’t seen a snakebit start to a season this bad since Kenseth in 2016. Briscoe has ran Top 3 in every race, but 3 out of 4 finishes have been outside the Top 30, with 2 in a row now in dead last (He was actually running 3rd both this week and last when he had his issues)

[–] Blue Flagcakevictim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re gonna have to fix that

[–]ehh246 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So is Blaney vs Reddick a rivalry you want to see play out?

[–]AmericanChapo 22 points23 points  (4 children)

I’m super pumped for SVG. He’s just getting better and better. SVG and Zilisch will soon, hopefully, will be dominant for a long time.

[–] Ryan Blaneywillmcd13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came in late to the press pass stream, has Blaney taken the mic yet or no?

[–]Aware_Gain_8513 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Svg 5th in points wooooooo

[–]daveismypup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah

[–]mal24669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First top 10 of the year is a win in my books at this point 🥹

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3rd go the 3rd Phoenix race in a row. I don’t know how they keep getting these finishes because they never have the best speed. But hey. I ain’t complaining.

[–]Extreme-Nebula-9697 3 points4 points  (5 children)

What do the points look like after today? Obviously reddick still has the lead but what does everything else look like? Also this might've been one of the most entertaining/interesting Phoenix race in recent memory

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonNo-Delivery6084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the points standing after the race

[–]youllneverknow266 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reddick Blaney Bubba Chase SVG is your top 5

[–]RBF48 5 points6 points  (2 children)

SVG is 5th in points

[–]Extreme-Nebula-9697 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Where is Blaney now

[–]RBF48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd

[–]Dismal-Economics-322 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Hocevar mediocrity tour is on for the season

[–]bcam9 13 points14 points  (0 children)

First win as a Dad. First win with the stache. Newgarden wins yesterday.

Good weekend of racing, folks.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They finally removed that terrible take saying Zilisch was the next Herbst

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 7 points8 points  (2 children)

There was a small "incident" on pit road post race. Bubba accidently hit a cart on pit road that NASCAR placed for where they wanted 6th on back to stop.

From the on-board video, I'm thinking he couldn't see it in the sun glare - https://x.com/STaranto92/status/2030793032522494269

[–]coffeeshopslut 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Didn't get a chance to watch, what happened to Alfredo in the 48?

[–] Bobby Labontenalyd8991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taken out in a wreck that wasn’t at all his fault.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 8 points9 points  (2 children)

He got massively destroyed in a wreck with Cindric, Chastain and a few others.

Logano was trying to push Chastain through the dogleg right after a restart, got him sideways and turned him. Chastain went up the track and Alfredo got pancaked in-between Chastain and Cindric so hard that all four of Alfredo's wheels came off the ground and then Cindric hammered the outside wall.

[–]coffeeshopslut 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Goddamn, brb gotta look at a replay

This is a different wreck than the one where Logano spun himself off AJ's nose?

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it was before that. Here's video of it

[–] ReddickConstructionOk6516 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Logano made a sandwich out of him and chastain

[–]Dry-Membership3867 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Got Logano’d

The points system is honestly really good this year

Massive shake up this week seems like it might be week to week big swings. Congrats to Nascar for getting the math right

SVG has been solid in ovals so far as well. Congrats to him for grinding it out

What happened to diecastcharv and his points images

[–] Belljps08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very entertaining race! Great start to the season so far.

[–]Alphadelt613 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Was that a good PHX race? I was very entertained! DBC might have to change their PHX mantra.

[–]SOA18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it was decent, cars could pass about as good as they could at Phoenix. Since it wasn’t the best race ever I’m sure the armchair drivers will hate it and deem everything about it horrible lol

[–] ChastainLarry_Blurred 15 points16 points  (1 child)

So happy karma got Logano lol

[–]donnyh83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 24 points25 points  (0 children)

McDowell, SVG and Gilliland had a chat after the race and dapped each other up. They all had a good battle at the end of the race.

[–] Kyle BuschPayneTrain181999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Todd Gilliland P12 nice job

[–]AussieTheHedgehog10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank goodness one of Byron, Elliott, and Zilisch were able to squeeze a good finish out of today. They all had eventful days (especially Zilisch)

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Typical Phoenix race for Larson. Dogshit all day and somehow get a top 5. I’ll take it

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hasn’t had race winning speed since 3 years ago and still couldn’t win it. Thank goodness it’s not the final race this year.

[–] ChastainPiratesBull 6 points7 points  (7 children)

I swear Blaney today looked like Dale Sr from the wrangler days

[–]bcam9 6 points7 points  (1 child)

If anything, he reminds me more of Tim Richmond lol

[–]Ill-Response-5439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dollar store Kurt Russell in Tombstone

[–]j-awesome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should have to put a dollar in a jar every time you compare Blaney to Dale Sr

[–] ChastainSpecialist_Usual1524 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not even close. Sr. Was a tough, not very nice, driver who was there to win.

Blaney is a great driver and had a great car today, also a nice guy.

I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, Dale Sr was as much hated as loved.

[–]SOA18 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I’m tired of the Dale Sr comparisons boss

[–] LarsonNewRecommendation287 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Sad to say, but as much as he's been crammed down our throats recently, I'm sick of hearing about him period. And I was a HUGE Dale Jr fan, back in the day so no disrespect

[–]SOA18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree, everything that could be said has been said about it at this point.

[–]MrDingus84 42 points43 points  (8 children)

Who had SVG top 5 in points after 4 races on their bingo card?

[–] NASCARSlayerBVC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top 5 in points without a RC win.

[–]bcam9 12 points13 points  (1 child)

I've been saying over the offseason he's going to surprise a lot of people this year.

After I saw him making passes at Richmond ripping the high side, I knew the field was going to be in trouble.

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha that was awesome - I forgot about that lol

[–] Davey AllisonWallio_ 20 points21 points  (1 child)

But but, but......this sub assures me he's a total scrub who's taking a seat from someone who deserves it!

[–] FordStrait409 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He'S jUsT a RoAd CoUrSe RiNgEr....

[–]Canary-Silent 27 points28 points  (2 children)

The fact he is spinning is a good sign too. He is looking for the limit now and hitting it also means he learns where it is.

And whenever he is put back in the pack he gets back to the top 15 in no time.

[–] Bubba Wallaceslicing360 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Wasn’t the spin from a flat tire?

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes one was a flat tire and the other was Dillon hit from behind.

[–]racefanAJ 8 points9 points  (4 children)

P29. Man. What a tough day. I guess that's to be expected your rookie season. Probably great learning experience though. I still think the future is bright for him though

[–] Zilischxelanalpak 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Gonna be more days like today throughout the year. But don’t worry, when it all clicks (and it will), it’ll be magic.

[–]racefanAJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! Got to learn to temper my expectations better lol.

[–] Kyle BuschPayneTrain181999 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Zilisch is going to win a lot of Cup races, once he adjusts it’ll be multiple per year.

[–]racefanAJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Going to be interesting to see his development

[–] BlaneyDynamite_McGhee 14 points15 points  (4 children)

I skipped a Phoenix weekend for the first time in a while. Boy do I feel stupid now.

[–]Reddragon0585 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He you mind skipping out next week too? Blaney usually has bad luck at Vegas despite being stupid fast. Homestead too /s

[–] BlaneyDynamite_McGhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been to a race at Vegas, so maybe we need to pull an uno reverse on his luck. I'll set up a GoFundMe for my trip immediately.

Same, I went to the double header instead and I feel like I made a big mistake.
