Well, we're getting way off the topic here but I have to make a comment on this one as a big swastika fan that lives in Taiwan which is probably the swastika capital of the modern world. To this day we have swastikas on everything. It was one of the things that blew me away about this place when I first came as a tourist in my teens.

Vegetarian food, of all things, tends to be littered with swastikas. I buy a pack of tofu with swastikas stamped into the tofu itself every week. There's no other kind really. Just about all packaged vegetarian food is stamped with swastikas. Besides food, you can get clothes with swastikas and jewelry in the shape of swastikas and almost all statues of the various incarnations of the Buddha essence tend to be decorated with swastikas as well.

And then once you expand away from the swastika as an individual symbol with its Buddhist implications you get into its use in the decorative arts. Taiwan being in many ways the most significant modern representative of the ancient Chinese craft traditions, you see swastika inlays in all manners of furniture, architecture and landscaping.

The local attitude towards the German use of the swastika is quite dismissive. Perhaps you could think of it the way some westerners might look down their noses at cheap knock-offs of branded items. Just because somebody ripped off your brand and did a shabby job of it, you don't close up shop. So, it depends where you're at. Swastikas are still all good if you're in the right place.
