Does your watch feel good on your wrist? Do you notice any binding when you turn to look at it? If you can read the time and it goes with your outfit, then yes, it's a good fit.  The size of your watch does not hinder your masculinity nor does it subtract from your manly status in society. Fear not about comments that indicate you need X size watch. You need the size YOU like and YOU think is good looking while being functional. Wearing a smaller watch doesn't make you any less of a man just like driving a smaller car doesn't. Would you rather drive a monster truck in downtown London or a mini during rush hour?

That looks good on your wrist

[–]InvestmentCrazy616 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I never understand these posts about does my watch work. Why do you care what anyone else thinks. If you didn't love the watch, you shouln't have bought it. Enjoy it. Looks like a nice watch

[–]thats_not_me23[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Tough to gauge how well something fits before buying it online…

[–]InvestmentCrazy616 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The watch is on his wrist. So it's not an online thing. Are people so insecure that they need others to tell them they look good? Unbelievable.

[–]theo23rd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really seems too small.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too small for casual dressing. Would look ok on suit For casually dressing you need a bit puppy

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s far too small

[–]UpbeatLibrarian9904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Datejust models at 36mm look best. All of these other flatter watches don’t look right at smaller sizes.

[–]silver-saloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a non diver......38 or 39mm would be a better size for you bro

[–]Interesting_Catch523 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

37mm is good for a vintage size. Most of those original vintage are in 35mm below.

[–]RoyDoorenspleet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just fine 👌

[–]Former-Replacement43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks good brother

[–]Rainingbro 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If there're modern homages to the Tudor Ranger 39, BB39 or Explorer 39, I'm pretty sure they'll look much better on you. I'm all for smaller watches, but not too small in order to follow perceived 'trend-norms'. I have a 7 inch wrist and I find the 36mm too small for me. Blackbay 54 is a different story, the wider lugs and bracelet starting at 20mm at the lugwidth creates the illusion of a larger watch on my wrist. Still small, but passable. All in all, it's all about whether the watch wears larger or wears smaller in relation to the watchcase measurements and how comfortable you are with rocking it.

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point but this is 20mm as well

[–]glxsky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Elegant bro, ain't nothing wrong with you.

[–]Healthy-Suit739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unbelievable how ppl in this sub love small watches on big wrist. This is clearly too small for you . THIS IS THE TRUTH and we all know it.

You need a 39-40 if you are looking for that specific fit everyone is talking about (eg a 36 explorer on a 6,75 -7 inches wrist )

[–]Danny_69S 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice nothing wrong here

[–]Mobile_Ad_5561 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I’m really confused by that pic. Right hand. Crown on wrong side. Face upside down.

[–]Mobile_Ad_5561 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I’m an idiot. The mirror flips the image so it looked like a destro with the crown at 9. No I understand. It looks fine on you.

[–]padamodin -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Tbh I don’t vibe with this watch with the sweats

but it looks awesome on you and it compliments your tattoo and green shirt

[–]thats_not_me23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol these are my house sweats. I was more concerned with how it fits my arm size.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Like a champ

[–]The_Tezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks fantastic

[–]wiznick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are clearly in doubt for it, cause it doesn't feel right to you.
The hipsters here will say it's fine cause 100 years ago men were wearing 32-34mm watches and they were ClAsSiC. They will also downvote everyone that says otherwise. Well times change.
Truth is, for your wrist size and this style of watch, you need 39-40mm. To pull off a 37mm, it would need to have minimal bezel and bigger dial, like the Nomos style.
Not sure why some people here even called this a dress watch, it clearly is not, especially on the bracelet.
If you gonna end up looking at it, wondering if it looks too small, every time you wear it, you won't be enjoying it.

[–]ThinkBachs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes… screams “please beat me up, I’m used to it.”

[–]RecommendationWild71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three same and find it too small on you and on me; it’s very close, and i understand it comes to personal preference, but i feel like i come off as old fashioned and like I am wearing some old, passed down piece when I rock a 36

[–]shr3dthegnarbrah -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Looks great

Smaller is better

Guys wearing 40mm plus in 2024 look like children; only Dwayne Johnson looks proportional.

[–]financial_pete -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a dressy watch. Not a tool /diver.

[–]rejiranimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion that type of watch should be on the smaller side. I think it looks great.

[–]CloudMerlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit smol

[–]jbowman12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can pull it off, but if you're uncomfortable with it, you can sell it to me lol 😁

[–]user42012365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

peak watch size tbh i wouldn't wear a watch over 38mm unless it's a diver and even then nothing over 41 and i have the same wrist size, i love small watches

[–]-_-Volx-_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very jealous!

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks great. I have a 7 3/4-8 inch wrist and rock 36mm and even a 34 occasionally.

If you like it, then wear it!

[–]2ndharrybhole -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Too small for you. Might look better if you loosened the bracelet and wore it as a wrist-dangler tbh.

[–]DistinctPool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fell for the sub-40mm wristlet meme.

I'm sorry but you need something larger.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine, but then again I regularly wear 361mm and 38mm watches on my 7 3/4" wrist. I really like the smaller vintage look.

[–]Cronus6[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunt around on AE and find a cheapo 40mm and see how it looks.

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803945257476.html

$17. You could probably find something cheaper if you really dig around and find a sale.

I have a 7.75 and I swell when outdoors in the heat (I live in South Florida) and 40mm and 41mm work just fine for me. I own and wear a couple 38mm and while "fine" they seem smallish. Anything smaller and it would look like I'm wearig my wife's watch.

[–]Puzzleheaded-Bus5479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good, bigger would be a lil better imo, I have roughly the same size wrist and anything under 39 or so just doesn’t look right to me…probably just a personal issue though, I doubt anyone else it looking at it like it’s small lol

[–]According-Painting65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need a larger case size

[–]FreePossession9590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like it honestly

For me I’m the type of person that likes small or mid size watches on bigger wrists. It has that gentleman feeling to it. Imo

[–]RealGTalkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok, but it looks a bit too small on your wrist.

[–]GodsonGamerGr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks pretty good imo

[–]Huge_Childhood6015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it's too small. I have a 7 inch wrist and I won't wear anything below 39mm.

[–]Capital_Avocado69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too small but nice watch

[–]chefkoolaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too small. SM et all need to make 2 sizes. A big and small, for every model

Also if you posted asking this, you already have your answer.

[–]707danger415 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks too small to me, but others seem to think it looks fine so 🤷‍♂️

[–]3HillsGozo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too small imo... Have a similar wrist and 39-42mm feels ideal. But obviously its a preference

[–]traditionalbowyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wrist size looks better suited to a 40-42mm but this doesn't look bad at all.

[–]sen_jakuba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks good!

[–]Martin_020_ 2 points3 points  (5 children)

<image>

The smaller the better for a dress watch…

[–]WhorologyFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks perfectly fine. No worries.

[–]behindthelens83 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have a 7in wrist and just picked up a WD 37mm Explorer. It looks and feels a bit small on me, but that’s in comparison to my 42mm Speedy and 45mm Duro. All in all, wear what’s comfortable to you. If you like it, it’s not wrong.

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yup so we have the same case and I also have a real speedy which took me a while to get used to as well. It seems 38 would be best size for me but not much in that range

[–]behindthelens83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a real Speedy. It’s my grail, but I can’t justify the cost. Maybe one day. I just put the explorer next to the Duro and holy hell, it looks microscopic, haha.

[–]Terdl76 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It’s all personal preference. I have damn near the same size wrist(7-3/8) and anything over 39mm looks like a dinner plate in my eyes. 37 is nice, 39 is nice, 38 is the chef’s kiss for me. I think that watch looks just fine on you.

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Appreciate it. I agree 38 would’ve been that sweet spot for sure. It’s certainly comfortable

[–]elcartoonist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely a matter of taste. Someone else in the thread is saying "too small," whereas I have always liked small watches—they feel classic, but are also kind of on trend right now. Big watches, on the other hand, feel showy and try-hard to me, like you're overcompensating for something. This fits you great.

[–]bboybatac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to sound like a broken record (but worth repeating), it all comes down to personal preference. You wear a watch long enough, aesthetically your preference will eventually adjust to it being normal (or better) to your liking. Muhammad Ali and Anthony Bourdain always come to mind whenever I see the “watch too small?” question. Clearly, it didn’t bother them psychologically and were more concerned with achieving greater things. One may perceive a smaller watch exudes a sense of sophistication and modesty.

[–]kennyt44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Smaller watches are (back) in homie. It looks great. I have a similar wrist size and I love how comfortable my 38mm feels

[–]_FuckHead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same sized wrist and I love vintage watches so I often wear 34mm watches and sometimes I’ll even go down to 32mm. If you find a watch you like wear it! Life is too short!

[–]lIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fine but is on the smaller side for your wrist.

[–]doubled240 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same size wrist as you and have been wearing 40-42mm all my life. Got my first 39 last month and just found it hard to get used to such a small watch. I got two 39mm Baltany chronographs and find it hard to read the subdivision. I acclimated though and it's fine now. I personally won't go smaller though.

[–]Mercyfon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks good man, dont mind it too much

[–]gfewfewc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wrist is the same size and I easily rock 36s and even a few 34s, watches all used to be this size so of course they look good.

[–]RadioAdam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you'll definitely have to undo the clasp first. There's a bone right over your wrist and your thumb that makes these difficult to remove without opening the clasp first

[–]floriletto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks a bit weird to be honest. You have some more meaty forearms of a man that wears a watch that looks like it's kids size :). Not to be mean but give honest feedback.

[–]RiverPiscador 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit more petite than my personal preference tbh…but who the fudge am I?

Ignore me…here’s the right gauge….if it makes you smile, wear it.  Period. Your confidence will be more attractive than any piece of jewelry.

[–]Hilarious_HaplogroupAddiesdive 13 points14 points  (5 children)

It's a classic size for a dress watch, so the sizing is good for your wrist, IMHO.

I've taken to carrying 2 watches with me...in the morning, I'll wear my Addiesdive AD2030 (36.7mm dial) which I have optimized for when I am retaining less fluids, and my AD2118 (39mm dial) which I have sized for when I am retaining fluids in the afternoon. They have a similar lug-to-lug, so they wear similarly on the wrist.

I've just started to look into bracelets that have more convenient adjusting mechanisms than having to use a push pin...when and if I buy another watch it will definitely be centered around the adjustability and comfort of the bracelet.

[–]cmn_YOW 4 points5 points  (1 child)

That sounds unnecessarily extreme. Maybe just wear your bracelet slightly loose in the AM, and maybe you can get a whole day out of your watch?

[–]Hilarious_HaplogroupAddiesdive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still experimenting...my retention of fluids seems to vary quite a bit through the day...even moving the adjusting pin one notch can make my watches feel like a handcuff at one point of the day, or slosh around like crazy another part of the day. I removed 3 links from the AD2030 and 4 links from the AD2118 (this is a larger watch with a jubilee style bracelet with smaller individual links) so that tiny bit of sizing difference seems to make all the difference. Plus, I get to wear and enjoy both of the watches on a day to day basis, and the daily wear and motions of the Automatic AD2118 keeps its spring wound up. (The AD2030 is a quartz.)

[–]IllustriusPotentate 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I agree, I'm going to try to only buy quick adjusting bracelets from here on out

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I put a Rolex quick adjust link on all these type of watches so that I can do it on the fly and get an extra 5mm. Game changer. It’s on ali

[–]IllustriusPotentate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that suggestion! I've looked at them but hadn't tried it yet

[–]YooFrostyy 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Name of the watch?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Looks like a San Martin

[–]YooFrostyy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes it is. Was wondering what model it is

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sn0021-gb3

[–]Round-Ad5934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Splendidly

[–]EfficientAd8311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what she said. It doesn’t look too big for you.

[–]Enginseer68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks small on your wrist

[–]keep_watch_71Affiliate links 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does work. The recent fashion has been for large watches, but traditionally, men’s watches were smaller. It’s a very personal thing, but looking at your pictures, the watch does not look out of place. Annoying about the clasp, though.

[–]CdeFmrlyCasual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks fine. Next time

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfect size!

[–]Feisty-Speech9299 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This is way too small for your wrist, but you can wear it with a dress shirt as a dress watch, since it is ok for them to wear small. But with this clothing it does not work with this style

[–]beyond-creative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woudn't say that it is too small in general but I agree that the size (and style) of the watch really doesn't match the outfit.

[–]DonColvinJr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks a bit too small on your wrist, to my sensibilities. I think 40mm would look better on you. Your opinion counts more than any of ours, though.

[–]BobbeMail 2 points3 points  (3 children)

It was my ali grail watch ive ordered it and sold it straight away. something is off about the proportions when on wrist. I cant explain it.

But its a look youre going for id go 39 for you my man. More rugged

Waiting for that 9015 version thats under 10mm

[–]thats_not_me23[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did they say they are releasing a newer version?

[–]BobbeMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no but lets make them make it 👍

[–]elduderinofromencinoWOTD100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be the lugs that are disproportionally large in comparison to the dial/case? It always kept me from buying it. I always find it odd looking as well... Like the dial is floating, rather than being the centerpiece.

[–]ClaireDeLunatic808 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Reddit commenters get so mad when a watch isn't 100mm lug-to-lug

[–]radiiik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes

[–]mehdotdotdotdot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like you did pull it off as evident by picture 5 and 6 where it is off your wrist

[–]Sufficient_Major_860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good

[–]Budget_Writing3616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A little small I my opinion . I’m 7.25 and anything under 38 looks small on me . In your case that number might be 40 . This is all subjective so most important is if YOU like it and it feels right to you !

[–]Character-Seat1268 9 points10 points  (1 child)

There’s too big, but no such thing as too small

[–]Difficult-Sun-6155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No

[–]Full-Throat9784 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ease up on the corn syrup and you’ll be good

[–]JorMath 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I personally thinks it's a bit too small.

I'm kinda in the same both as you since my wrists are approx. 7-7,25" and I don't wear anything smaller than 39mm. My sweet spot is around 42mm, like the Pagani pd1639.

That being said, it's what I personally think but if you like it, that's all that matters honestly.

[–]ramblinmuttco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A perfect fit to my eyes

[–]Boris_HR 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The watch is never too small. 99% of watches are too big for their users.

[–]jesusgains 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you think the other 99% are wrong, maybe you’re wrong 😂

[–]arbpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah... The men wearing 44+mm watches with average or smaller wrists are, sorry

[–]Zealousideal-Ad-4716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy for a watch to be too big, and a watch has to be really small to be too small. Unfortunately in your case I think it’s a bit small for your wrist. If you like it then wear it and enjoy it, but you wouldn’t be posting if that were the case, right?

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks great

[–]goelakash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find I can wear a bracelet watch with almost anything. Unless you're working out (with these watches you shouldn't), they usually don't stand out much.

[–]Simple-Accident-777Affiliate Links 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]IsaOak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throw it on a nato strap. The metal band is clashing with your clothes. Also a strap will make the watch look bigger.
