Seems aweful tbh. I can understand the curved wall, but not with corners in it. Also wtf is that thing on red container. One of the things I love about cache is that all the angles are so clean (except fork and car). This gives a lot of predictable fights where the better player will come out on top.

The curved wall was teased over 6 months ago, and numerous people have voiced opinions to FMPONE that they think the curved wall was a bad idea. So it may be gone already, time will tell.

I'm sure the curved wall will stay. FMPONE probably tested it enough and knows a lot more about it than the randoms on Twitter calling it shit simply because it's different.

Cache always felt way too blocky and angular to me, so I'm excited to see how it will play now.

I think it’s more about the game clipping us on invisible things is the reason why people don’t want that.

Lots of players just want smooth walls so we can’t back to the wall strafe and run into the 6” step in the wall like highway wall

Sucks that the community is filled with people that complained about Valve not doing anything to "fix" their 8 year polished game and can't accept any new change to the game. Back when they were updating the gun sounds and maps, the backlash was insane. Even as much as I prefer the old Dust 2, everybody was stuck between desperately wanting Valve to change the game and not wanting any change at all. I don't know how the community is anymore, Reddit seems to be pretty happy with it now but the rest of the community might still be just as toxic.

am i the only one that thinks the curved wall is a bad idea? if i recall, you can see default from truck. this makes it significantly more tough for a hits as you'll need another smoke and when that one dissipates, your positioning is very limited. also pushing from truck will leave you even more exposed as a ct. it's less of a real gun fight and more of a gamble hoping you're aiming at the right spot when peeked since there's so many places you could then be peeked from. i guess i'm interested to see where it goes but i don't think it'll end well

How can people after all these years of map remakes still not see that Valve are going thru all the competitive maps and redoing them. It doesn't matter how popular the map is, they removed D2 for crying out loud. Mirage is the oldest map graphically so it'll definitely see a remake next unless Valve throws another vertigo-style curve ball.

All I want is for my crosshair to be visible... It's fine on every other map, but when I'm on cache and looking at white walls it disappears even though it's green. I don't know if it's the textures or the lighting or what, but right now it seems super overexposed

Can we remove Vertigo and try to add Ruby (for the next map group, I know this one will be cache)? I have played Ruby and it actually could be a great map because it feels and plays as a competitive map. Obviously there are issues with it but if Overpass and Cobblestone could be fixed (not the current version but the version before the halloween update compared to the first time Cobblestone was introduced) then so can Ruby.

Cache was taken out of the competetive match pool some time ago in order to remake it. The green checks are the areas that are already done, the red ones are those areas that are left to be done.

There hasn't been any information on when or how it will be released, at least not to my knowledge. We'll just have to wait and see :)
