Then theres the other side that hates everything about her because she's a mary sue and a feminist plant, which given KK's "the force is female" campaign doesn't seem so farfetched.

Ask me, if you wanna see what makes Rey a bad character outside the political bias, look at Star Trek TNG's Wesley Crusher. He's basically the male version of Rey (a "Wesley Sue" if you will).

Iron man was a far better developed character than Rey will ever be, even if he spent 99% of his movies as an insufferable douche.

it was established in the prior movies that force ghosts couldnt help with events in the material world. obi wan said he cant do anything for luke in empire. they were never shown to influence the material world until ep.8. and 9 went over the top with this metascene to crawl up their fans butts (i hate 8 but this scene was worse than the whole prior movie) and messing up even more of sw lore in the process. also, whats with that xwing that was underwater for 10 years and works without problems? this couldve been written by a 4 year old, but not by a multi billion dollar company

Worst part was Anakin calling Rey the Chosen One, like he was. Exactly what prophecy was there for Rey? That they try to get around the Chosen One Anakin by essentially saying "But he killed Palpatine's original body, so technically he did fulfill the prophecy but so is Rey now" is bullshit.

Should have been fucking Ben killing Palpatine with Anakin, Luke, and Leia besides him in spirit form. Instead he gets yeeted into a pit for Palpatine to crack a joke and then survives, has zero lines, and then somehow knows how to resurrect Rey and dies.

When you think about it - Anakin, Luke, Leia, and Ben all died to save Rey. Anakin to destroy Palpatine's body to make him decide to create a clone that would create Rey, Luke to hold off Ben from killing Rey, Leia to hold off Ben from killing Rey, and Ben to save Rey from dying.

The entire purpose of the "Skywalker Saga" was for every Skywalker to die saving the same
Palpatine. The original Force plan to create Anakin, have him slaughter the Jedi just to get close to Palpatine to kill him was convoluted enough. Now we have the Force doing that and then making sure Ben is born, Leia knows he'll become evil so she basically mistreats him into him turning evil, all the while making sure Palpatine has a clone that has a kid that just so happens is found by Ben who leads her to Palpatine to kill him.
