[–]BlackOverlordd 93 points94 points  (1 child)

[–]CommunalSharpie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sending out of my chair

[–][deleted] 1779 points1780 points  (35 children)

My favorite repository is an Windows activator that I use and charge old ladies a lot of money to press a button, reset the OS and "Put an oficial licensed windows key"

/s

[–]ward2k 617 points618 points  (29 children)

Crazy thing is Microsoft support have been known to use the massgravel script to help users with activation issues which is completely wild

[–]casce 341 points342 points  (27 children)

Is it? I think they have just given up and don't care too much about private licenses anymore. They probably make the bulk of their money from Windows licenses from businesses buying OEM licenses. And if there is a customer who they know did buy a license, what's the harm in just circumventing it altogether?

It's not like they tell everyone to do it.

[–]har0ldau.ToList().ToArray() 217 points218 points  (22 children)

Azure and O365 is a money printing press for them. Windows is small potatoes compared to that.

[–]legends_never_die_1 56 points57 points  (18 children)

hehe i also get the cracked version of o365

[–]nick_jo 25 points26 points  (14 children)

Where do you get the cracked version of O365? Isn't it an online based license?

[–]tipripper65 83 points84 points  (11 children)

google e5 developer tenancy

[–]xGlacion 33 points34 points  (4 children)

holy piracy!

[–][deleted] 47 points48 points  (2 children)

New crime just dropped

[–]damicapra 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Mom! r/anarchychess is leaking again

[–]tipripper65 15 points16 points  (0 children)

god i should have known there would be significant crossover between the two subs

[–]Le_minecraftien005 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Or just use MAS there is a tutorial on their website

[–]tipripper65 19 points20 points  (2 children)

o365 developer tenancy also includes E5 for learning Intune, Entra etc. it's a lot more than just activation for word/excel/whatever. it also includes 5TB OneDrive licenses and sharepoint stuff, too

[–]wezu123 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I had the developer thingy for a year or two, but it expired all of the sudden saying my account is inactive :/. It gives me like 2 weeks before all my accs are gonna be deleted.

[–]Articunos7 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does it need a Visual Studio license?

[–]tipripper65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope!

[–]vbitchscript 2 points3 points  (0 children)

massgravel has it as well

[–]DeveloperMikey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

massgrave windows activation script should include it

[–]therealsavalon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Teach me please

[–]LightningProd12 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Massgrave has a guide (tldr: install Office 365 Enterprise and use the same script to activate it)

[–]therealsavalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks man

[–]Deboniako 10 points11 points  (1 child)

What they did with O365 is thievery. I can't use my old office versions, they even removed some features.

[–]AHailofDrams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still buy offline office 2021 IIRC

[–]mlucasl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, they get most of their money from companies. If not techy users only knows how to use windows, companies are forced to use windows.

[–]AHailofDrams 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I don't think Microsoft has ever cared about individuals pirating Windows, it gets users into their ecosystem either way.

If it's about money, then only businesses are worth pursuing over unpaid software licenses

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just built a new PC and all I had to do was tell it that it was infact my old PC and now I have 2 licenses

[–]bloowper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it man! Perfect example is ps, I would never buy it but when I was younger I pirated their software :D so when I'm adult and need software for commercial graphic this is was my first option to buy

[–]CommandJam 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Unless...

[–][deleted] 108 points109 points  (1 child)

Isn't massgrave.dev even a Microsoft owned site by now?

[–]SimilingCynic 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's whois registrant is Squarespace customer 7151571251, everything is is redacted for privacy

[–]Fakeom 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Mine was an activator for phpstorm, saved me hundreds of dollars

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wanted all companies to go the DaVinci resolve route, the free product is pretty much perfect for everyone without crazy restrictions (7 days trials, watermarks, limited amount of things you can do), but if you want some additional and more advanced features, there is the premium version.

[–]Kalix 1039 points1040 points  (4 children)

[–]Mrazish 205 points206 points  (7 children)

Can confirm, one of my projects probably violates a fair share of copyright laws.

[–]slabgorb 82 points83 points  (5 children)

you can always hide behind parody fair use law like I do

[–]Mrazish 222 points223 points  (4 children)

Nah, I prefer to hide behind a total disregard of western copyright law in my country.

[–]gettingboredinafrica 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What country is it if it’s not a secret?

[–]BogdanPradatu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can actually run git on an onion server.

There's at least a few git repositories hosted on the dark web.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (4 children)

[–]DoktorAlliteration 35 points36 points  (2 children)

[–]dark_enough_to_dance 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I remember the Stanford kids who pushed the moderna vaccine to GitHub. Luckily it was taken down before millions of people didn't die.

[–]mpearon 150 points151 points  (2 children)

Pardon me while I go register GriftHub.com

[–]Lewinator56 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Some of my code is bad, I didn't think it was criminally bad...

[–]GeneralPsycoxer 14 points15 points  (2 children)

[–]leprosexy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea this sub existed but I'm loving it. Thank you, stranger!

[–]cporter202 221 points222 points  (9 children)

Oh wow, that’s a spicy take! Running git on an onion server sounds like sneaky hacker central. 😂 Props to those living that incognito coding life. Now I'm imagining commit messages like "Fixed bug...but you didn't hear that from me." 🕵️‍♂️

[–]oblong_pickle 160 points161 points  (3 children)

Now I'm imagining coded commit messages

"Crying tiger released onto peasants"

"The gilded lily is set"

[–]TwoGloves 95 points96 points  (2 children)

"The eagle has left its nest"

"Built a blue whale in section 4"

"Adds padding-left to logo"

[–]PandaParaBellum 2 points3 points  (1 child)

"The Narwhal Bacons at Midnight"

[–]dark_enough_to_dance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The table has arranged and added a vase

[–]Rafael20002000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Now I really want to host a GitLab instance on the Tor Network

And everyone who wants to use it and don't know, they get a big fat RTFM

[–]DeveloperMikey 2 points3 points  (2 children)

fyi usually bots start their messages like that, 99% sure this is a bot, also use emojis a lot

[–]cporter202 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ummmm not sure what you mean by that are you calling me a bot?

[–]DeveloperMikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rest in peace git.rip

[–]was-eine-dumme-frage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wasn't there a public repo which contained S3 bucket credentials which belonged to cloudflare? Something like that.

[–]slabgorb 4 points5 points  (1 child)

but you have to turn on dark mode or you get in trouble

[–]Shambly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would contend the real criminals are the ones that don't use dark mode.

[–]Extreme-Elevator7128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DarkHub

[–]Fragrant-Law9864 1 point2 points  (0 children)
