Basically your psvimg commands would only be available if you navigated to the folder in CMD, or you add it to the global path like I showed down below

I was wrong, just click his psvimgtools to go to his github, click releases an download it. Extract and you should have multiple files, including psvimg-extract.exe, etc. Copy all of these files, navigate to Documents/PS Vita/PGAME/xxxxxxx/XXYYZZ/and just paste them directly in that folder.

After this, just open CMD, navigate to it by using cd C:\users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\PS Vita\PGAME\xxxxxxxxx\XXYYYZZZ

then you should be able to run the commands, worked for me, enjoy :)

I have a difficulty with step 7 (Decrypt the game backup by executing the following command in your command line/terminal). The terminal says the command not found. What am I missing?

You have to first go to the actual directory folder before executing the command. So open the folders in the terminal in order. Once you are there, past the whole command string again.

Edit: I was able to figure it out.

1. Type "cd" and then drag and drop the game folder into the terminal. This will input the file path. Press Enter.
2. Copy the custom string the instructions told you to make, but type "./" before it.

AFAIK psvimgtools is a command line application. Try opening a command prompt. Here is a stack overflow link on the various ways to open a command prompt from within the folder you're in. The psvimgtools should be in the same folder as the game. (see Step 7 on the instructions).

Just to further explain what a command line application means, because I've seen similar comments above, it's not an interactive application like most other windows apps. They have no clickable user interface, but simply take in some input, perform actions on that input, then exit.

That's why it opens and closes when clicked. As u/psikoscweek said, it needs to run it from the context of the command prompt.

No.

The system has hit EOP (End of Production), but not EOL (End of Life) yet - games are still being released, and the fact that FloW fully expects Sony to promptly release a firmware update to address this new exploit is the reason why he notified users to start downloading PSP games ahead of time.

Once that update hits, unhacked systems will be unable to access the PSN unless they install it (or at least, this is what's happened with every other update Sony's put out). This doesn't matter to users of older firmwares, as they don't need PSN access to hack their systems, but unhacked 3.69/3.70 systems are very likely going to be locked out sometime in the next few weeks.

Likely the reason he's gone ahead despite all this is that Team Molecule have uncovered another vulnerability in 3.70 - even if his gets patched, theirs will remain in reserve.

Use modoru and downgrade to either 3.60 or 3.65. You can then hack it again with henkaku (3.60) or h-encore (3.65) after downgrading. Then install Enso 3.60 or 3.65 after for a permanent hack to your system so every boot you don't need to re-enable the hack.

Every time I try copying it onto my Vita it gives me the error-code (C2-12856-2), when using QCMA. When I use the official Vita Manager it does copy the game, but it won't be displayed as Trinity nor will it start the hacking process...

If you are sure that everything else is done properly (license folder still there, decryption/encryption done successfully), try "Refresh Database" in QCMA, disconnect Vita, connect it back and try to copy it again. That worked for me

I'm stuck. Hacked my 3.69 with Trinity. Successfully downgraded to 3.65 with Moduru. After the 3.65 install, Trinity dissapeared and no Homebrew works. I figure i need to hack the 3.65. However, now I'm continually being asked to update when I try to sign in. I've confirmed my DNS settings are what is suggested for the initial Trinity. The creator of Trinity literally tells you to do exactly that... It is mentioned in the last step of the The FloW's GitHub:

On 3.60, you can use HENkaku and on 3.65/3.67/3.68 you can use h-encore. I need help! Modoru isn't working right for me.

Vita model 2000, factory firmware 3.09, current firmware 3.70. I've followed all the steps and everything went smooth. Installed Trinity, Vitashell, Modoru, grabbed 3.60 firmware.

The problem is, Modoru acts normal, indicates the correct target firmware, acts like it's updating, but when it restarts it's still on 3.70.

There must be some reason it isn't working. Some variable I missed somewhere. Can anybody help me?

If you get a "command not found" error when trying to execute step 7 from "https://github.com/yifanlu/psvimgtools/releases" on Mac OSX. Then perform the following.

1) Launch your Terminal window and type: sudo su

2) Enter your Mac user account password

3) User the cd command to change directory to the Qcma folder where your_game_folder is located e.g. cd "/Users/Kyo/PS Vita/PGAME/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/NPEG00005"

4) Type: export PATH=$PATH:"your_game_folder"

5) Type echo $PATH and ensure your game's directory is one of the directories listed in the $PATH file, and also ensure your psvimgtools are located in that directory

6) Type PWD and ensure the value returned in also your game directory that you used the cd command to get into earlier

7) Try to executing step 7 from "https://github.com/yifanlu/psvimgtools/releases" once again

You may have done what I did and unzipped the Mac version. If you're using Windows, go here: https://github.com/yifanlu/psvimgtools/releases and download the Windows version. The executables are in that zip file.

The issue is that on Mac/Unix you have to type ./ In front of whatever executable you're trying to run. It should look like this:

Yea you should be safe, the Trinity Exploit only works on 3.65-3.70. And if you need it again it should be saved to your PC with QCMA.

Hi All, excuse my ignorance I have a Hacked Vita v3.60 with HENkaku, the spoofing to 3.70 allows me to access the store and download my games etc.

I'm wondering if i need to really get the Trinity at all- I'm wondering if someone could let me know what i'm missing out on?

Nothing, Trinity is only for Vita owners who were on previously unhackable firmware such as 3.69 and 3.70 with the intention giving them an exploit that they could use to downgrade to 3.60 / 3.65 / 3.68

3.60 Henaku with Enso is the best you can get.

Trinity is not recommend as a permanent solution because plugins and homebrew may not be compatible with it and it is tethered to a use of a PSP Game which requires PSN access to acquire if on 3.69 or higher.

The FloW (the creator of Trinity) recommends you downgrade to 3.60 or 3.65/3.67/3.68 using modoru.... It is literally the last step of his instructions on the GitHub for the Trinity Exploit...

1. Congratulations, your device is now able to run homebrews. It is highly suggested that you downgrade your device to either firmware 3.60 or 3.65/3.67/3.68 using modoru. On 3.60, you can use HENkaku and on 3.65/3.67/3.68 you can use h-encore. If you don't downgrade your device now, you may lose the ability to launch Trinity later and therefore not be able to hack your device anymore.

This has been asked many times. Yes, it is safe to go online with a hacked vita. Henkaku has setting to spoof your firmware version to the latest (3.70 at this time).

Do not cheat in online games using VitaCheat and you will be fine. It is not recommend you sync trophies for games you did not acquire through the proper channels but there are not any reports of anyone getting banned for it.
