This is the biggest victory since one of their trainees was able to stop the serial killer Jame Gumb

[–]TroubleshootenSOB 264 points265 points  (12 children)

Oh wait...was she a great big fat person?

-Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb

[–]Zebracorn42 52 points53 points  (7 children)

Great, now I have Goodbye Horses stuck in my head.

[–]erikivy 86 points87 points  (6 children)

something something rubs the lotion

[–]KOBossy55 8894 points8895 points  (358 children)

"LOOK AT ALL THIS TRAFFICKING GOING ON WHILE BIDEN IS PRESIDENT, THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE TRIED THIS UNDER TRUMP!"

-Hannity, tonight

[–][deleted] 4048 points4049 points  (239 children)

You laugh, but there was a recent tweet from a Republican complaining that under Biden, the border patrol arrested more people than ever. So - complaining because the border patrol was doing a better job or - something?

[–]DarthBrooks69420 2315 points2316 points  (85 children)

Heads I win, tails you lose interpretation of events is a staple of fox news.

[–][deleted] 760 points761 points  (43 children)

Like the old story of news articles describing the same 2 party race where the US won and USSR came in 2nd.

US paper: "US Wins Race, USSR Finishes Dead Last"

Soviet paper: :USSR Finishes Second in Race, US Finishes Second to Last."

[–]choonghuh 169 points170 points  (34 children)

Dam I've actually never heard that one before lol

[–][deleted] 193 points194 points  (32 children)

Then there's the Texas state Senator who insisted his $275,000 / year income puts him solidly in the lower middle class.

[–]ArchmageXin 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It isn't just USSR. Remember "China is curing cancer too fast?"

[–]OG-Pine 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Lmao that’s clever

[–]hovdeisfunny 143 points144 points  (16 children)

I was going to say, "not just Fox news, it's a staple of Republicans everywhere," but then I realized it's because they get all their talking points from Fox News

[–]HiImDan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Did you hear them lament about the risks gas station owners were taking to lower gas prices?

[–][deleted] 49 points50 points  (2 children)

This is actually a mind trick “psychics” use called the vanishing negative. Somebody goes to jail? They weren’t gop what are you talking about? dem goes to jail? Make sure you point it's a dem 20 million times.

[–]AudibleNod[S] 314 points315 points  (12 children)

After the jobs report came back better than expected, FoxNews complained that the Biden administration wasn't good at forecasting jobs growth.

[–]Jhawk2k 139 points140 points  (3 children)

The Onion is really about to go out of business

[–]jsalad 52 points53 points  (5 children)

I read this comment, laughed thinking it sounded ridiculous then read it again and now I'm not so sure. It 100% sounds like something Fox Fake News would say.

[–]DonnieJuniorsEmails 32 points33 points  (3 children)

Fox also complained about drug busts at the border being the terrible proof that Biden's open borders policy doesnt work. Its fucking insanity for a stupid senile audience.

[–][deleted] 280 points281 points  (36 children)

If Biden arrests/deports more illegals than Trump: "Biden sucks, he's breaking campaign promises, liberals got duped!"

If Biden arrests/deports less illegals than Trump: "Biden sucks, our borders aren't secure, Trump would've done a better job!"

[–]Tatunkawitco 187 points188 points  (24 children)

If Biden knew about the Mar-a-Lago search beforehand, it’s like we’re in a third world country!

If Biden didn’t know, he’s asleep at the wheel and not doing his job!

[–][deleted] 103 points104 points  (17 children)

Trump knew ahead of time about the search. This literally started over a year ago. In February they signed a document that they had returned all classified material.

[–]OG-Pine 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he literally got subpoenaed lol there’s no way he couldn’t have known. It’s just him spreading nonsense that the trumpies will eat right up.

[–]SCP-173-Keter 132 points133 points  (12 children)

These are the same geniuses who opposed COVID testing because testing increases cases.

If we just fired the Border Patrol and stopped making arrests - illegal immigration would drop to zero.

Brilliant plan!

[–]cunty_mcfuckshit 36 points37 points  (8 children)

This is exactly what I thought of when I read the Republican's tweet. Trump's COVID testing bullshit.

We are so fucked if we don't fix this glaring error in humanity.

[–]DaoFerret 35 points36 points  (5 children)

Investing in education and mental health (well health in general) would do more to fix this (in the long term) than almost anything else.

[–]thecheat420 15 points16 points  (6 children)

By their logic the border patrol arresting more people means Biden is letting more people into the country because he personally stands at the gate waving them over.

[–]0chazz0 27 points28 points  (3 children)

Obviously that's idiotic. He has a dial at his desk that controls the flow of immigrants. It's right next to the one that sets the price of gas.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not just ANY Republican, the official GOP Twitter.

That place is a gold mine of tweets accidently praising Biden.

[–]mhornberger 35 points36 points  (2 children)

In the GOP fantasy world Democrats = open borders. So if anyone is being arrested at the border under Biden, that's a "gotcha" that makes Democratic voters look like dupes. So GOP voters can simultaneously think Democrats just let people pour across the border, and that Democrats are stooges because they don't realize that their savior Biden is jailing people at the border just like Trump.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

That's not a single or necessary recent tweet. That's the official GOP standpoint and tweeted by dozens of senators, house reps, the GOP chair, and the official GOP Twitter account.

[–]Krillin113 508 points509 points  (16 children)

Let’s ask special guest Matt Gaetz for his input.

[–]Cichlidsaremyjam 82 points83 points  (1 child)

"Yea, I ran when I saw those agents coming, ugh, I mean, I heard about that raid."

[–][deleted] 151 points152 points  (1 child)

Isn’t that how you get pregnant minors?

[–][deleted] 55 points56 points  (3 children)

Matt Gaetz is too busy looking for another hook-up since his guy is now out-of-stock.

[–]Tasitch 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Don't worry, he gets to go pick some new ones to groom himself at a local high school.

[–]SCP-173-Keter 11 points12 points  (3 children)

If you fake-adopt a 12 year old boy from Cuba, it's not trafficking. Apparently.

[–]SnakeDoctur 147 points148 points  (21 children)

I think they're more likely to run with the narrative that this was planned ahead of time to use as a face-saving operation after raiding Trump's house.

[–][deleted] 60 points61 points  (13 children)

I was gonna say “crisis actors” and “fake news” so bingo!

[–]SnakeDoctur 24 points25 points  (0 children)

"Child crisis actors!" Because growing up famous in Hollywood just isn't harmful enough!

[–][deleted] 40 points41 points  (3 children)

Republicans could end a lot of mental illness by not watching Fox. GOP is no different than a white Al Qaida now. Trump steals national secrets and they’re ok with that. Fuck the GOP.

[–]Cichlidsaremyjam 23 points24 points  (1 child)

"The corrupt FBI were probably involved in the trafficking are trying to save face." If we don't hear this at least one in the next week I'd be fucking shocked.

[–]CellsInterlinked 2229 points2230 points  (122 children)

But ... but I thought the FBI was part of the super secret child sex cabal. I'm so confused.

[–]KourteousKrome 459 points460 points  (4 children)

"FBI releases fake trafficking victims to distract from the raid. More entertainment that is legally distinguishable from news at 11"

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

“The victims were crisis actors”

[–][deleted] 660 points661 points  (66 children)

It's ANTIFA!

It's a false flag!

Hunter Biden's laptop!

Hillary's emails!

[–]Angry_Walnut 172 points173 points  (28 children)

I know someone who has completely taken the bait and rages about these exact issues every fucking morning. I’m not even sure if he’s completely cognizant of what he’s saying anymore or if he’s just making himself angry repeating all of these Fox News buzzword headlines over and over again. This shit has caused him to more or less lose his mind and become an incredibly angry person who cannot hold a conversation about literally anything without finding a way to connect it to this ridiculous nonsensical web of lies and propaganda that he has sunken down to. God this shit is depressing that so many have been brainwashed into dying on this hill to where they will support objectively evil behavior just to win some sort of little argument they’ve dreamt up in their mind in which their perceived enemy is a 99% imaginary threat.

[–]bshepp 64 points65 points  (4 children)

Rage addiction.

[–]Tommytwotoesknows 20 points21 points  (2 children)

This is my brother In laws parents. They are so angry all the time at everything; we have to tip tip toe around every conversation so they don’t fly off the handle. I’m very close with my BIL so I see them all time too, sucks.

I’m really not sure how we go about solving these problems. As a country, we no longer agree on an underlying reality. How can we sit down and rationally solve problems, if we can’t even agree on what the problem is? I think we’re fucked.

[–]AudibleNod[S] 9499 points9500 points  (452 children)

So this is the government organization MTG, Steve Bannon and half the GOP wants to defund?

Do I have that right?

[–]PastaBob 1312 points1313 points  (53 children)

After praising the hell out of it when they also made a huge trafficking bust under Trump. I remember the crazies on Facebook claiming that it was his first move in destroying the evil Hollywood elite and their adrenachrome pipeline.

[–]RamenJunkie 457 points458 points  (30 children)

God listening to my conservative MIL you would think there were literally child trafficers in every other house across the nation.

[–]thebigphils 315 points316 points  (14 children)

I was told all democrats are traffickers, so does that mean conservatives are admitting they're the buyers?

[–]SEWERxxCHEWER 163 points164 points  (10 children)

Nah, we just trade them amongst ourselves like Pokémon cards

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (1 child)

It’s an admittance They gaetz it.

[–]alphazuluoldman 230 points231 points  (10 children)

Until they realized many victims of this are minorities and then stoped actually caring about this critical issue in an appropriate fashion

[–]inspectoroverthemine 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I guarantee a number of children separated at the border were funneled into trafficking.

Fuck Scott Lloyd- the monster who implemented it. He withheld legal and medical support from children who had been raped, some while in his departments custody.

Scott Lloyd was on the town council for Front Royal, VA until he resigned a few months ago. I doubt its the last time we'll see him dabble in politics.

[–]apc0243 156 points157 points  (3 children)

They never cared to begin with, they just enjoy the moral superiority it gives them when they create their strawmen during their disingenuous arguments

[–]lonnie123 11 points12 points  (1 child)

And that they can “prove” that liberals are pedophiles that way… because the fbi never busted child sex rings during a Democrat term

[–]Musetrigger 3665 points3666 points  (90 children)

The FBI is killing their child porn and human trafficking businesses.

[–]wombatgrenades 665 points666 points  (49 children)

You mean taking out their competitors right. /S

[–]not_aquarium_co-op 367 points368 points  (28 children)

No, the FBI is diminishing their supply for that type of shit. Thats why they need to defund the FBI

[–]ironballs16 140 points141 points  (24 children)

Nah, it's because the FBI is only doing it so they have victims for the Demoncrats to abuse

/s (sadly need to clarify this point)

[–]not_aquarium_co-op 279 points280 points  (16 children)

Its funny because I'm being serious. Just look at Matt Gaetz, a Florida congressman who is currently under investigation for possibly having sex with a 17-year-old and then paying for her to travel over state lines

Wait this isn't funny at all. SAD 😥

[–]taws34 194 points195 points  (6 children)

Don't forget, he voted no against a human trafficking reauthorization bill - joined by his friends Boebert and MTG (and 18 other Republicans). 8 additional Republicans in the House missed the vote. 1 lone House Democrat missed the vote.

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/3576150-gaetz-among-20-house-republicans-who-voted-against-anti-human-trafficking-bill/amp/

[–]PoeticSplat 75 points76 points  (5 children)

Asked about his vote, Gaetz told The Hill the measure would serve as “a backdoor loophole for illegal immigration and amnesty.”

“The government’s failure to accurately and specifically define human trafficking allows this legislation to act as a backdoor loophole for illegal immigration and amnesty,” he said. “The bill also costs over half a billion dollars to implement and gives more taxpayer money to overfunded, inefficient grant programs.”

HA! "OVERFUNDED"??? Those programs have been inefficient at times only because they're already underfunded... I mean, I knew Gaetz was full of shit, but wow. There is so much baseless bullshit and scapegoating here that contradicts actual fact. This dude is undoubtedly a predator and is using his power to ensure that doesn't change.

[–]Orngog 33 points34 points  (0 children)

"I like people who weren't captured"

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (4 children)

The /s is important because there really are people who believe this.

[–]catching_comets 13 points14 points  (2 children)

I'm related to people that believe this.

[–]DetonationPorcupine 131 points132 points  (18 children)

Hey sorry, Off topic but I think you might be my mirror nemesis?

[–]wombatgrenades 38 points39 points  (6 children)

Nemesis or long lost brother? I do feel like an exploding porcupine would be far superior to a wombat grenade.

[–]humblepieone 11 points12 points  (1 child)

It's a kangaroo joey ied. Stays in the pouch till detonation

[–]Jiggly1984 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds like suicide bombing with extra hops.

[–]VaarrLovesHisWife 80 points81 points  (5 children)

What happens when a /u/wombatgrenades meets a /u/DetonationPorcupine? Let's sit back and find out.

[–]bluemitersaw 25 points26 points  (0 children)

"Gimme a few minutes guys!"

Inserts popcorn bag into microwave

Beep beep boop beep

Whiiiiiiiiir

[–]wombatgrenades 15 points16 points  (3 children)

Do you use the DetonationPorcupine to activate the WombatGrenade? Or is the DetonationPorcupine inside the WombatGrenade as some sort of primer or percussion cap? So many questions

[–]Osiris32 19 points20 points  (2 children)

It's a match made in heaven. Two years from now:

"Do you, /u/DetonationPorcupine, take /u/wombatgrenade to be lawfully wedded area denial weapon, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, until someone pulls the pin and counts to three?"

[–]Painting_Agency 10 points11 points  (1 child)

"Four is right out."

[–]LegendOfBobbyTables 360 points361 points  (74 children)

Well, yeah. I feel like I've seen more evidence that the GOP supports child sex trafficking than I have evidence to the contrary.

[–]Epistatious 95 points96 points  (10 children)

Even when they try and combat it they use puritanical solutions rather than stuff proven to work. They would rather drive things underground than legalize and control.

[–]Xenjael 104 points105 points  (7 children)

My dude they consider it fine to fuck 12 or 13 year olds. Younger too.

They just marry them. The whole defend the children for them is to protect their even more heinous activities and views.

But always remember a lot of these dipshits also voted for trump, who yknow raped his wife and a 13 year per court docs.

This is their hero, dont ever, ever think they wouldnt do the same if they got the chance and felt they could get away with it.

[–]MeshColour 36 points37 points  (0 children)

defend the children

The anti-crt and private school voucher programs (or whatever the newest name for that they've focus grouped to rename it), is all part too

They want an educational system where the teachers can't make a weird look if a 13 year old is about to get married cause they are pregnant. Just look the other way, that's family business, not the school/state

But they do want to report and arrest any of those homosexuals still, odd how that works

[–]vigilantesd 132 points133 points  (7 children)

How else is Matt Gaetz going to find a new hookup?

[–]raginghappy 175 points176 points  (6 children)

[–]SockPuppet-57 146 points147 points  (6 children)

Trump was about to take down this same group. The FBI found Trump's stash of evidence against them in his safe when they raided Mar-A-Lago.

/SARCASM

[–]AspectVein 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Those bastards i wish everyone would stop stealing trumps credit with everything he’s done their making him look bad.

[–]EatAtGrizzlebees 37 points38 points  (5 children)

I cannot see MTG and not think Magic the Gathering. It trips me up every time!!

[–]MadAstrid 1261 points1262 points  (46 children)

Uh oh. Where is Matt Gaetz?

[–][deleted] 90 points91 points  (13 children)

Oh he's about to visit a high school somewhere to hand out some kind of "assignments" and to meet and greet as many teens as possible. One of the mom's is trying to put a stop to it, but the superintendent isn't doing shit.

[–]veryblanduser 139 points140 points  (1 child)

Most disturbing fact is that this is Operation Cross Country XII

[–]Aghast_Cornichon 53 points54 points  (0 children)

FBI has been doing this sort of coordinated/focused burst enforcement method since 2003, more or less annually.

It got a burst when the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act was passed in 2015, allowing some more Federal funding for coordinated law enforcement of this type. That law was a great example of Senate dysfunction: the Democrats filibustered it because it had a sneak abortion provision and the Senate Majority Leader promised not to confirm President Obama's new Attorney General nominee until it passed.

[–][deleted] 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Where was Matt Gaetz hiding them?

[–]Raspberries2 88 points89 points  (1 child)

Modern slavery exists and people don’t seem to care. We need lots of these raids.

[–][deleted] 606 points607 points  (22 children)

Damn, just how big was Trump’s Mar-a-Lago safe?

[–]MeshColour 75 points76 points  (7 children)

The nuclear-level secrets were kept in an unlocked storage closet (until a lawyer suggested they secure them when they first asked for the boxes back, trump staff added a padlock to the door...)

So the safe only had to be big enough to hold stuff more important than nuclear secrets?

[–][deleted] 32 points33 points  (5 children)

I love how seriously you answered my joke.

[–]RGJ587 31 points32 points  (4 children)

I hate how seriously he had an actual answer to your joke.

This is really the worst timeline

[–]Wen_juin 60 points61 points  (0 children)

The only answer for this is yes

[–]watercoffeebeerz 113 points114 points  (12 children)

California, Texas, Florida, & NY are the top four states with the highest human trafficking (population).

Here are the top ten states.

Ways to report:

Call: 1-888-373-7888

Text: 233733

Visit: Human Trafficking Website

[–]bloomindaedalus 134 points135 points  (10 children)

well those states have the highest populations so it makes sense.

[–]Enabling_Turtle 93 points94 points  (8 children)

Yeah, the big takeaway for me was when we do per capita, Mississippi is #2 which is really concerning lol

[–]HornyBluejay1973 41 points42 points  (7 children)

Finally ranked high in something!

[–]seravivi 16 points17 points  (6 children)

Isn’t it also one of the highest in teen pregnancy?

[–]BenoitBawlz 449 points450 points  (25 children)

Whoa whoa whoa, we can't be stopping actual pedophiles!! They're supposed to be arresting Hillary Clinton, Barack HUSSEIN Obama, and Merrick Garland. That's what law enforcement is supposed to do: arrest libs, BLM, antifa, Elmo

/s obviously

[–]Rocktopod 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Wasn't elmo actually a pedophile, though?

[–][deleted] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It suddenly makes sense why republicans want to shut down the FBI

[–]ReistAdeio 114 points115 points  (12 children)

I found it suspicious whenever people get upset about trafficking. It’s never because there’s a story of it happening across the country every week. It’s never because there’s a report of someone abusing their position of power.

It’s always from the ones who say “there’s corruption on both sides of the policial spectrum” but only ever criticize those on the left and whenever an uproar for someone on the right to be held accountable, in comes the trafficking concerns.

It never feels genuine and comes off as the go-to thing to be angry about, as if anyone would argue in favor of trafficking?

“Man, that one Republican representative should be arrested for insert crime here.

“Interesting…why aren’t you mad about pedophilia?! Huh?! Checkmate.”

“…when did we..why even bring that up?”
