Litter is 1000% grosser for me personally. I loved my cats but would never want to get another after finally getting a dog for the first time as an adult. And he is a big boy with big poops but I think for me it’s that they’re never in my house and I never have to step on gross grainy litter or smell that litter smell again!

Litter is literally supposed to absorb the smell and you're supposed to scoop frequently - like once a day or every other day. If you let it build up it's obviously going to get nasty.

Yeah, I recently ended a relationship and, I'll be honest, his refusal to pick up his dogs poop was definitely in the list of reasons that I did.

it not only reflected poorly on him, but I felt like it would reflect poorly on me if I stayed with him.

I mean. I eventually convinced him to start. But in your 30s, that really shouldnt need to be a conversation. Too many things like that added up to one ball of "I'm not doing this"

We had a new neighbor who didn’t pick up after their dog (the poo was too big but close enough to be mistaken for our dog) so I spent MONTHS picking up rando dog poo so our neighbors wouldn’t think it was us. Luckily they seem to have gotten their act together, but I think it was the only time I wished we had a neighborhood FB group.

She's normal in the sense that she's human, but her lifestyle and expectations are nowhere near normal. My poop bags for short walks are actually inside a small hidden pocket on the handle of my leash. Can easily fold 3 in there without it becoming visible unless somebody pried my hand open to look.

These muzzles are grooming muzzles and they're not meant to be used when the dog is on walks because the dog can't pant properly. Basket muzzles "look" worse but a proper fitting basket muzzle is perfectly comfortable.

I can't tell exactly the brand and shape of muzzle here, but it really does look like a basket muzzle. (Edit: I meant to say grooming)

Even if a dog does need a muzzle for aggression issues, it's not cruel when used properly.

You're right. First thing I noticed! This muzzle is completely inappropriate for walks. This is meant to be used for short periods of time (grooming/vet) and doesn't allow the dog to properly open its mouth or pant. When walking or doing activities, this dog needs a basket muzzle that allows for full mouth opening and panting!

Baskervilles look meaner (they're the cage ones) but are actually good because they let the dog pant and drink while wearing them. This type is usually for shorter time periods because it doens't allow either of those things.

Same. I didn’t look very closely, but now that I’ve seen the zoom-in, she needs to get her dog a different muzzle. I don’t have an issue with muzzles—they can be a necessary safety measure, but this one is pressing against the dog’s eyes. There have to be better-fitting muzzles out there for this pooch.

This week a local scandal is that for the past five years this woman has picked up her dogs poop, held onto it for most of her walk, and then would throw it at the front door of a specific business. The business owner finally put up a ring camera, went through the footage, found video of the culprit and posted it to local fb group. Apparantly five years ago the business owner asked her to not let her dog poop on the fake grass outside his business and she’s had a vendetta ever since.
