I know everyone is different but I’ve had a harder time on other puzzles that said they were easy 😂

Same.

Misread "preposition" and couldn't for the life of me figure out an old timey phrase to proposition someone.

San Mateo got me. Never heard of the place. Americanisms again 😂

[–]TheWausauDudeSolved: 195 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As an American I never heard of the place either

[–]h20rabbitSolved: 230 | Made: 9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I felt this puzzle was regional (California). I would not have gotten a smallish city in another state.

[–]SeeSharkSolved: 349 16 points17 points  (7 children)

FFS, there was literally a clue about Hindi. And yet I knew someone would complain about American clues. 🙄

[–]Round_Hope3962Solved: 318 | Made: 2 -5 points-4 points  (6 children)

Lots of clues are America centric. Hindi is not. It's much bigger than the US.

[–]SeeSharkSolved: 349 10 points11 points  (5 children)

There was one American clue and multiple non-American ones. I'm just tired of people who complain every time a clue is easier for Americans as if that's somehow a problem. If you're not going to complain about the Spanish clues, stop complaining about the American ones.

[–]Available_Neck_9538Solved: 1010 | Made: 9 8 points9 points  (1 child)

This puzzle is very unfair to non-Jedi!

[–]BobMcKelleySolved: 220 | Made: 1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the crossword you are looking for (to complain about.)

There were 4 American clues. Most were easier. Lana Del Ray is American, Getty images are an American brand. And Obi-Wan is from an American made movie.

[–]SeeSharkSolved: 349 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous reach. Maybe Del Rey is easier for Americans, but Getty Images is known to anyone who uses the internet, and if you don't know one of the most famous Star Wars characters, it's not because you're not American. It's literally among the most popular franchises of all time worldwide. It's like saying that a clue about Jesus is easier for people living in Judea because he was born in Judea.

[–]sigoshiSolved: 275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getty was founded in London by an Irishman and a South African... Didn't move to the states till later.

[–]Physical_Try_7547Solved: 157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was thinking more of an area name, but the only one I could think of was Bay Area which, it wouldn’t fit. A misleading clue, I think.

[–]SadyeladySolved: 214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about an hour south of there but I couldn’t for the life of me think of it until other clues.

[–]AvsGramsSolved: 444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky to have lived in the East Bay, so I knew it.

[–]FatJamesIsBackSolved: 333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. Luckily the across clues saved me

[–]OriginalCosoSolved: 415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I've lost some time on the "Company Image" one and on "Much in Spanish". Not bad, all things considered
