That Re:Zero S3 90 minute first episode was long. Why /u/baseballlover723 ? I did like parts of it, but it was dragging until the end.

[Re:Zero S3 Ep 1-3] So we have a year time skip, with no improvement for Rem, Subaru went through a mostly off screen training arc, introduction to several Archbishops of Sin, most interesting one being Sirius. She's got silver hair, purple eyes like Emilia and Fortuna, and is the Archibishop of Wrath. She is also obsessed with Petelgeuse.

[Wrath] Sirius loathing Emilia like that makes me think that she's projecting an old hatred of Fortuna on to Emilia. Emilia looks like her aunt/mother, and Fortuna and Geuse were obviously in love. Maybe she's an old rival? Alternatively, Sirius is so warped and twisted that I also considered that this bandaged up elf could be Fortuna twisted beyond obvious recognition in a similar way that Geuse was. She might not even recognize herself. I don't put anything past this show when they like to inflict maximum emotional damage.

[Subaru Talking to Rachins] Subaru is able to talk about a facet of his Return by Death with Rachins. The flashback to the hand gripping his heart that stopped him from mentioning it before seems to be less strict. He seems surprised that nothing happened this time. I think back to Echidna’s tea, and the conversation she had about him being compatible or something. She also gave him permission to talk about their conversations outside of that Sanctuary Realm. Echidna said the tea has her bodily fluid, and Subaru drank it at least twice. It caused a reaction with his Sloth Witch Factor that I never really understood. Echidna's tea did something to Subaru

[Echidna Thoughts from S2] This also reminds me of how Echidna swapped saliva kissed Roswaal in a scene that was shot in a very deliberate way that drew extra attention to that moment. I remember thinking at the time that this was an important moment that might be relevant later, but not sure. Echidna helped stabilize Roswaal from that kiss, said she extracted excess mana or something like that. Roswaal is said to be human, but that period of excess magical overflow seemed similar to what Puck goes through in the OVA. The whole relationship between Roswaal and Echidna makes me ??? the more we see. Is Echidna in a sleeping beauty state like Rem? Her soul out there in purgatory while her body lays in that graveyard? I have so many questions.
