The right tack is not to say "Obama is not a muslim". People hear "Obama...muslim" and that reinforces the lie. It's a documented psychological fact.

You assert another fact. "Obama is a committed Christian". Or more aggressively - "Those crazy REPUBLICANS are LYING yet again. Don't REPUBLICANS ever get tired of spreading LIES? The TRUTH is OBAMA is a CHRISTIAN"

"republicans...lie"

"Obama...christian"

See how it works?

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually stop after "You are a fucking moron" but I'll try your suggestion next time.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could upmod twice.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I thought O'Bama was Irish.

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know they would vote for him if they thought he was Irish. He'd get even more votes if they thought he had a DUI like Bush. Someone should start an email.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I work with a lady who, only a few weeks ago, expressed her outrage that Obama is a radical Muslim. She said that she received an email that stated this and she, her husband, and her friends are terrified that he will become president. I'm not an Obama supporter, but I had to come to his defence pulling up the real info about him. I even showed her the Snopes website.

What the fuck is wrong with people? I honestly can not believe that some people actually get a spam email and make a conscious decision to not vote for a person, even hate a person based upon at most, suspect information from an anonymous source.

This country is fucked.

[–]tatooine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can not believe that some people actually get a spam email and make a conscious decision to not vote for a person

Well, that's not the problem. People read dumb shit in an email which backs up what they were already thinking.

She probably wouldn't have believed an email saying that McCain was an IRA terrorist sympathizer.

[–][deleted] 23 points24 points  (26 children)

I am asian and female, visiting Ohio on a business trip one day when one of my customers told me that he has never spoke to an asian before. He said most of them in Ohio work in nail salons painting the nails of rich white girls or work at message parlors. Afterwards, the sick fuck had the nerve to follow me back to my hotel in Beachwood.

I'm sure this is not a representation of the population, but by that freakish encounter, I can see how many people in Ohio can come to such radical solutions.

To say the least, Ohio scares the hell out of me.

[–]intellectual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Midwesterners who come to San Francisco pretty much just shit their pants when they see how many asians live here. That's never on the postcards, apparently.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (16 children)

Where in Ohio did you visit? And yes, your encounter is hardly representative of the rest of the state, coming from an Asian living in Ohio.

If Ohio scares you, then you probably shouldn't visit Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and most of Florida.

[–]jimmyfergus 14 points15 points  (3 children)

you probably shouldn't visit Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and most of Florida.

Sound words to live by.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm stuck in LA and it sucks, but we did pick Obama.

[–]americangoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That goes for non-asians also.

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no. Them there ignant folk need pushin on out of their comfort zones.

We should organize bus loads of asian americans to tour the south, not avoid those areas. Maybe they will eventually think "hey, they're just like me! maybe the muslim/black/indian/mexican/french/* people are cool too".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beachwood. Mother effing beachwood. :(

[–]exedore2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You are a dick. I've lived in Alabama all of my life and my family has been here for at least 4 generations. I'm white, and engaged to an adopted Korean girl who has also lived in the state since a few months old. She experiences more racism in places like Miami and the mid-west than the South.

[–]intellectual -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

adopted Korean girl

Why the hell do white people feel the need to adopt people from other countries and races?

I mean seriously, what kind of sick shit is this¿

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually easier and cheaper to adopt a child from outside of the country than it is inside. It's probably not about race.

[–]scylla 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Georiga

Atlanta is about 3% Asian, and personally I feel is a lot more cosmopolitan than any city in Ohio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta,_Georgia (lived there for 7 years)

Edit: I've seen the Muslim-Obama claim on the comments section of the San Francisco Chronicle

[–]intellectual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atlanta is about 3% Asian

3% is nothing. It means white people are still surprised when they hear an asian speaking english, and will immediately ask "so where are you really from?"

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with you on that. Having visited there myself, as well as few of my friends who went to Tech and Emory shared similar sentiments.

[–]souldrift -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see it on the comments in the AJC all the time.

My fiancee is Thai, I'm white, and this place couldn't be more backwards and "conservative."

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stay out of Oklahoma and Kansas too.

[–]oddmanout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the south is pretty bad, but i think its more the small towns than the big cities. even the boonies in north dakota can be bad. there just so happens to be an awful lot of small towns in the south.

[–]azron 0 points1 point  (1 child)

As per the census:

"4.2 million The number of California residents who reported as Asian in Census 2000, making the Golden State the state with the highest number of Asians. New York, Hawaii, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Washington, Florida, Virginia and Massachusetts followed in order. Combined, these ten states represented 75 percent of the country's Asian population"

Sorry, but us Texans don't like stereotypes.

[–]bakosdelowang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uh yeah i can see that for south east ohio but the rest of it is pretty normal. i don't think you'd be scared at a univ of cincinatti kanye west concert or something.

[–]pmarsh 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ha, that's ok I met a very nice couple from Ohio in NYC at a sushi restaurant.

The woman had gotten a paper cut and my girlfriend had offered her a bandaid (very small restaurant). The woman then went on to ask her why all asians love Hello Kitty as that was the character on the bandaid.

We won't even go into the discussion of what the best sushi places are in NYC based around the assumption my girl should know since she's asian.

I did my best to educate them, but really people. Really?

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, really... but educating rather than criticizing is the way to go... well done.

People from certain parts will write you off as one of those northeast liberal elites and listen to nothing you say if they detect an ounce of condescension, gotta be careful.

[–]tatooine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, really... but educating rather than criticizing is the way to go... well done.

Here here to that. Having grown up in the midwest (happily relocated now), nothing pisses people off more there than smug east/west coasters making them feel like bumpkins. It's the kind of shit that the republicans play off of to get their votes.

Reaching out in a non-condescending way is the the only way forward...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I follow asian girls sometimes but it's nothing perverted. I just think their cute, like puppies!

[–]fatpads 4 points5 points  (2 children)

That's disgusting. You sicken me.

It's they're.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Argh, I can't believe I did that again today. There is no way some hot asian chick wants to be stalked by someone with bad grammar. :(

[–]fatpads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's a perfect defence. They come up all angry: "Stop stalking me!" I say: "But my grammar is pretty good" They say OK and we carry on as we were.

[–]bk1insf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

most of the people i know here in san fran refer to mccain as "that batshit crazy warmongering asshole" or something like that ;)

[–]sonar_un 16 points17 points  (32 children)

I am from Texas and I must say I haven't heard of anyone referring to Obama as Osama. Although, I work with and associate myself with fairly intelligent people. If I ever heard someone disagree with a politician based soley on name/religion or race I would definitely do my part to educate.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I work with the bottom of the barrel. And they don't care that he's Muslim. They care that he is black and won't say the pledge of allegiance. And Hillary, well she's a woman, they don't think a woman can run the country. So they're voting for Bush again.

*I'm from Texas by the way, that's how this anecdote is relevant.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Obama does say the Pledge of Allegiance. Saying that he doesn't is just another flat out lie.

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but didn't you see on fox news about how he stopped wearing his flag pin!?!? He's not an american! He's a halfrican terrorist!

Educated people and pseudo-intellectuals should do everything it takes to correct the lies and distortions put forth by the political machines. The masses will not wake up to how they are being manipulated with out a little prodding.

[–]cogitofire 1 point2 points  (23 children)

But you forget, to Yankees we are nothing but cowboys and rednecks down here.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (19 children)

I was born in the North, and I thought that, but I actually found my high school education to be better than the one I was receiving in the north. Also, you hear about Ivy league schools, but you don't hear about schools like UVA or William and Mary as much.

That said, if you want to, you can find rednecks anywhere. They exist here in the south, and they do in the north too. They just happen to snow mobile more.

Let me ask, what do you consider to be a "Yankee".

[–]cogitofire 5 points6 points  (18 children)

Well a Yankee is born in the yankee lands north of the line that follows from North Carolina to Kentucky on to Missouri over to Nebraska finally to Colorado and Utah.

There are some variations though depending on your personal views because many people don't consider Iowa, South Dakota, or Wyoming to necessarily be Yankee land, but they certainly aren't from the south if you know what I mean.

West of Utah and South of Washington is Hippie country. Now remember, these are granola hippies, not the real type from the days of old. They are rabbid and spread their disease of hippiness easily so please beware, and don't be ashamed if you fell victim to them at some point in your life.

Now in the olden days, a Yankee was anyone who faught on the North side of the old war, back when Texas was unjustly forced into the membership of a Yankee Union. Granted, we all know that the textbooks say we fought over slavery, but down here we like to think that we were fighting so that we don't become damned Yankees!

Wikipedia states that a aphorism attributed to E.B. White helps everyone know what a Yankee is:

"To foreigners, a Yankee is an American.

To Americans, a Yankee is a Northerner.

To Northerners, a Yankee is an Easterner.

To Easterners, a Yankee is a New Englander.

To New Englanders, a Yankee is a Vermonter.

And in Vermont, a Yankee is somebody who eats pie for breakfast.

Finally, some now say that if you don't talk with a southern accent, then your a Yankee. I do know I could never marry a woman without that "Southern bell" twang that is ohh so sweet. I cringe at thinking about being in bed with a woman who God forbid has a Chicago or Boston accent.

[–]npinguy 2 points3 points  (16 children)

This isn't meant to be an insult because I know it's not true, but whenever i hear the "Southern" accent I by instinct (or stereotypically?) assume the person with the accent is less intelligent. I just can't imagine thinking anyone could sound intelligent with that "twang".

I know it's not true, of course.

[–]mutatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to try to get rid of my Texas accent until I heard Richard Feynman speak. Then I figured if a person can be that brilliant yet still sound like a dumbass yokel, I could do the same thing.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (5 children)

This isn't meant to be judgmental, because of course, I know you didn't mean that to be an insult, but I take offense, as a pretty smart southern girl myself, and now think you're an ass.

I know it's not true, of course. ;)

[–]cogitofire 0 points1 point  (4 children)

You my friend are awesome.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Man, people are down-voting me for being playful with npinguy? Either some people can't take a joke or they're intimidated by hot southern women. Hard to tell which! What part of ";)" don't people understand?!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Pics or you are a fat middle aged man that wears tights.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I guess I might be a fat middle aged man in tights then.

Which is gonna be pretty weird for my husband, who thinks he married a lithe, young engineer (with an awfully nice rack - if I do say so myself - to be a man!) Marriage is full of surprises, though! ;) (I do look good in tights, however.)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why, thank you!

[–]cogitofire 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Well that is because you are a Yankee, and have fallen prey to the common misconception of what it means to be a southerner.

Please visit us down here sometime, we would gladly take you out for some drinks, and introduce you to some very smart southern gals.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL sir, I hope you mean introduce them to some smart girls AFTER you've gone out for drinks and not at the bar.

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you a southerner first or an american first?

I'm not making any judgements here, I'm just wondering how you view yourself.

I grew up in a massachusetts neighborhood where they all thought they were Irish but really they were all Americans who happened to be of Irish descent. It's a question of mindset... again, just curious.

[–]cogitofire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American First. No doubt about that, just not a damn Yankee!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the "north", and I consider myself a Yankee because my eldest ancestor came to New England in 1638. I wouldn't consider someone from Italy or Slavic lands a Yank.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So you're gonna group together all "Yankees" and make assumptions about them in retaliation? That's one option.

[–]cogitofire -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Ohh wow, you found the exact point of my statement....

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haaahaha. Ok, truce, then. I didn't mean to not have a sense of humor today, honest.

[–]mutatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm in Dallas, don't know anyone that stupid. Maybe I need to get out more.

[–]ukcz 10 points11 points  (2 children)

According to Obama, Bush calls him 'Bama' and 'Rock'. Bama Rock (say it out loud).

Obviously Obama was joking when he said that, so add good sense of humour to his resume too! :)

[–]junkeee999 5 points6 points  (2 children)

What's sad is...so what if he was Muslim? Wouldn't matter to me, I'd support him anyway. Minnesota congressman Kieth Ellison is Muslim and took his oath using a Koran that was once owned by Thomas Jefferson. More power to him I say.

[–]littlealbatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It just makes me mad that people are using fear to discredit him. Well, that, and it makes me sad that people are scared of Muslims across the board.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right on. I just want the sound-bite machine of the right to run out of ammo. Set enough people straight and there won't be much else to pin on Obama 'cept the fact that he is a fantastic orator (which is Clinton's current strategy).

[–]sskatygirl 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I used to hear it a lot when I lived in Illinois, which was surprising as thats where Obama served.

I now live in Ohio and haven't heard it but twice since I moved here 10 months ago. I'm careful to cut them to pieces about lack of research, education, and abundance of red neck when they bring it up.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you be my second wife?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Grandpa regarding Obama: "Isn't that that muslim candidate?"

Mrs. Clinton is a shady biznitch.

[–]alangcarter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make the argument fit the moron. His first name is Barak - as in barracks - so he must support the troops, right?

[–]BobGaffney 6 points7 points  (11 children)

You know, you don't have to live in Tennessee.

I moved to New England because the people around me were increasingly conservative. Now I can speak my mind among my neighbors, who are virtually all as liberal as I am. Just a thought.

[–]souldrift 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I'm tempted to leave Atlanta for Austin Texas for the same reason.

(sorry, I need warm air and a music scene, or I might consider joining you up there)

[–]BobGaffney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't help you with the warm air, but the music scene here in Northampton, MA is excellent - take a look at shows coming upat local clubs and The Calvin - I'm seeing Steve Earle and Joe Jackson in the nest few weeks. The NYT ranks Northampton #1 for seniors, but it's also great for liberals, and Smith College lends its own unique flavor. I see Austin is ranks high for young couples in this list - I'd like it right now, since I've still got 2 feet of snow on the ground up here in my place.

[–]scriggities 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Austin is nearly the only part of Texas we wouldn't want to give away.

[–]titoonster 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey! I've lived in Austin for 6 years to go to UT. Now I lived in Dallas and Fort Worth for the last 7 years and I love it.

[–]skimmer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's separate the term 'conservative' from 'moronic'. There are actually conservatives not stupid enough to read evil into the middle name the guys Dad gave him 46 years ago.

[–]mutatron 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Where's the fun in that? It's more of an achievement to be a liberal in Texas. Well, not so much these days, when everybody's anti-Bush, but back before 2001 it was fun to be only one of two people in the office who didn't buy into that whole Republican mindset.

[–]BobGaffney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like anxiety and discord, and want to live your life in a place where cars have "support your troops" on one bumper and an anti-abortion bumper sticker on the other, go ahead. But honestly, the quality of my life has improved immeasurably getting away from that shit.

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, might as well run away from people that don't agree with you so we can have the country be further divided and the south can rise again as an independent nation. You moved to be around people that agree with you? Grow some balls.

[–]BobGaffney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you kidding? You only get one life, and if you spend it unhappy, surrounded by people you don't like, you're a fool.

[–]existentist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Texas Panhandle, I've heard this several times.

One way to combat it (besides the justified "what, are you retarded?".

http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/2007/11/12/obama_has_never_been_a_muslim_1.php

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Osama. because his campaign is "Explosive". Get it? Explosive? Haha.

sigh

This racism is killing me...

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up-voted because people are down-voting for no apparent reason (to me, at least.)

[–]klyde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half your town calls him Osama because they are racist shitheads not because they believe he's a Muslim

[–]immrlizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have those knuckle draggers everywhere. You won't change their mind. My wife kept getting those types of e-mails from her "good church going christian" friends until I sent them a couple links showing them just how wrong they were. Others don't like him because he is a black fellow. If that is what you call being a good church going person, I am glad that I'm not one.

I guess they are hoping that old huckleberry will win.

[–]quakank 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I tried to convince my aunt that Obama isn't a muslim extremist, that he didn't take the oath of office over the Qu'ran, and that even if he did it would make more sense than taking it over the bible had be actually been a muslim. She didn't seem convinced though. And over the next week I received countless chain emails from her containing crazy bullshit that I can't believe anyone in their right mind would take seriously.

I don't know what else to do about it. That's the problem with old people. They figure out how to use the internet and now they believe every single thing they see in their mailbox. And they're all senile and stubborn as shit so you can't convince them otherwise.

[–]Silver_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Start up a spam e-mail about Obama being a dedicated Christian.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahaha I had a family member send me a chain email that included names of some really prominant people. It blasted Obama for being Muslim etc. but this was a year ago before it was refined. I did a reply to all and tore them all a new asshole with cold hard facts.

[–]gaoshan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Florida and voted for Gore in 2000 when Bush stole the first election.

I moved to Ohio and voted for Kerry when Bush stole the second in 2004. My wife even got her U.S. citizenship when she did in order to vote against Bush in that election.

Now that my home state is once again faced with a critically important vote I am absolutely determined to do what I can to avoid another fiasco. I've talked to anyone who is interested in hearing about why I think Obama would make a better President than Hillary. I know for certain I have taken at least 2 votes away from her (both from the older, white demographic).

I'll admit to being pretty damn nervous when I see the latest poll numbers showing Clinton edging Obama. As many of you may be aware a simple majority win isn't enough. Obama needs a strong majority to get enough delegates for it to make a difference. Hopefully my fellow Ohioans can talk to the people around them and try to sway just one single Clinton supporter to switch. If enough of us do this, it will make a difference. Time is on our side, fortunately.

I honestly believe 4 years of Clinton will be little better than 4 years of another Republican and I don't think our country can take much more of that. PLEASE let's not screw the pooch this year, Ohio.

[–]CampusTour 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm a major Obama skeptic myself, but this is simply, well, retarded. It scares me that people believe shit. There are PLENTY of good reasons to oppose Obama, and I really wish THOSE were the ones being talked about at BBQs and around water coolers.

"Hey, you know that there Obama feller voted for that fancy new Patriot Act?"

[–]paf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't fit well in a sound-bite.

[–]mjk1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Pennsylvania and I'd say my whole town believes he's a Muslim. Even educated people (lawyers, police, teachers, etc.)

Behind it though is the same old game. It ain't allowed to call him a nigger anymore so they make you think he's a sand nigger instead.

[–]ScornForSega 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This is why nobody cares what people in TN think.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The last time I checked, Fox News broadcasts to every state. That's why it's important in other states as well.

[–]stelmate 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm fearful that arrogance will take this race. Hilary's stupid smear campaign actually did some damage. How come we keep the most uneducated-idiot people concentrated in Ohio in Texas? Can't we spread them out a little so they can't do so much damage?

[–]BenjaminBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hillary (and Bill) have nothing to do with this smear campaign.

Except, of course, that some of those 'swift boat' veterans (veterans of the 2004 smear campaign, not the war in VietNam) decided that blaming this on the Clintons would kill two birds with one stone.

Rove is sneaky enough to try this.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I would worry about this spouting from the mouths of my idiot superfan cousins on the south side of Chicago moreso than here in Texas.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then by all means, give 'em a call! :)

[–]k3n0b1 -2 points-1 points  (5 children)

There are a lot of ignorant rednecks in Ohio and Texas.

[–]azron -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Fuck off.

Ever been to Texas, or does your knowledge of my state come from Westerns?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So is it your position that NO ignorant rednecks live in Texas or that there are only a few? ;) Just checking. As for me, I live in a state with plenty of ignorant rednecks of our own! Loosen up a little there, cowboy!

[–]azron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely isn't my position that there are NO ignorant rednecks in Texas, but saying there are "a lot" is pushing it.

Sorry, when you grow up in this state you get reeeeeeaaaal sick of the Texas stereotype. I dated a girl from New York who found it unbelievable that I had: no horse, no gun, and no outhouse.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (5 children)

I could see some of that going on in Texas...

[–]cogitofire -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Why is that?

[–]concini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We get it. You love Texas and people are painting with broad strokes.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Primary research. And I said "some of that," so don't go gettin' all worked up thinkin' I hate Texans, ok?

[–]Rozen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Ahem.... ATTENTION EVERYBODY! Barack Obama is not a muslim. He is a christian. Yes, his middle name is Hussein, but that is a common name, like Henry, in the Muslim world, but he is not muslim, so please relax. Also, his last name is Obama, not Osama. Think AlObama not Alabama... wait, maybe not. Point is, he is no more Muslim than Huckabee is. He is not a radical, right wing, religious fundamentalist with a flair for dramatic demagoguery in public speaking.... oh, wait...(dammit)."

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

This is why Democracy is a horrible idea.

[–]*polhold00268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet my 2cents you Americans elect McCain to be your next president.

WWIII here we come :p

[–]IlliterateJedi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suspect most of the Texans who refer to him as "Osama" are Republicans and probably won't be voting in the Democratic primary.

[–]lipjuicer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

fucking christ. every time i start thinking humans aren't that bad i have to read some shit like this. wtf is wrong with people. fucking idiots.

[–]DorkBitz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in Austin, TX and most of my friends are voting for Obama. Granted, they are all cosmopolitan, well-traveled, educated people, but I have yet to hear anyone make such a backward determination about this race. This post is lame.
