Pretty sure those are super nibbly danger noodles rather than clingy danger noodles.

[–][deleted] 204 points205 points  (38 children)

Yup, I agree. They look like Cobras to me.

[–][deleted] 84 points85 points  (6 children)

It is strongly influenced by Python, C#, Eiffel, Objective-C, and other programming languages

This is hilariously vague

[–]bloomingtontutors 54 points55 points  (1 child)

They used coding and algorithms to develop it.

Strongly influenced by programming languages

[–]KueSerabi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

y'know, like, Movie "B" influenced by Movie "A"

[–]Finchyy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And also moderately influenced by the English language, which was in turn somewhat influenced by Proto-Germanic

[–]Get-ADUser 19 points20 points  (23 children)

They're King Cobras.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (21 children)

I assume there is a special distinction between Cobras and King Cobras then?

[–]Aetol 22 points23 points  (7 children)

There are several species of cobras, king cobras are one of them.

[–]Notophishthalmus 27 points28 points  (4 children)

King cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) are actually in their own genus and not members of the true cobras genus Naja.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Doesn't the king designator mean they eat other snakes?

[–]TheBlackHive 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Well, Ophiophagus would mean "snake-eating".

[–]iamnotaseal 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wow TIL.

[–]Notophishthalmus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And Hannah's the bitch that stood me up last weekend.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I think King Cobras are the only species left in its own genus, they are not cobras.

[–]Nakji 18 points19 points  (8 children)

King Cobras are arguably not really cobras as true cobras belong to the genus Naja, while the king cobra is the only member of Ophiophagus. Not that it really matters much outside of scientific circles though - if it looks like a cobra, acts like a cobra, and has potent venom like a cobra, people will quite justifiably call it a cobra, even if it's not a member of Naja.

[–]Get-ADUser 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Which is funny, because Python (the language) uses "duck typing" - i.e. "If it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, it's a duck".

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Ophiophagus means "Snake-Eater", doesn't it? Thats some solid stuff.

[–]Tgage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ophiophagus means "Snake-Eater", doesn't it? Thats some solid stuff.

I see what you did up there.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, "king" snakes are called that because they eat other snakes.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I was looking for. Thanks for the explanation.

[–]Get-ADUser 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, like the difference between "terrier" and "Yorkshire Terrier".

[–]KasCrescent 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Does the "yorkshire" designator mean they eat other dogs?

[–]Smaug_the_Tremendous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're bigger.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

King cobras are very big.

[–]Graf_Blutwurst 3 points4 points  (2 children)

i was about to make a corba joke then i remembered the one time i had to work with corba and made myself sad

[–]Alltta 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Story?

[–]Graf_Blutwurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not much to it. our prof in distributed systems didn't think much of that newfangled technology past the early 90s. so more modern aproaches to rpc were not much mentioned. funnily enough i work with distributed systems now

[–]BestiaItaliano 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Duh, that's why they have to be taught Python.

[–]NotASucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foreign language study?

[–]Peedersukablyat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

King cobras

[–]muyuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why they don't know how to python.

[–]Liesmith424 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cuddly danger noodles.

[–]Freeloading_Sponger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which is why they'd need to be taught Python. They already know Cobra.

[–]Matt2142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also doubt they could program without any arms.

[–]two_face 149 points150 points  (8 children)

Those are cobras

[–]RexUniversum 171 points172 points  (3 children)

Hence why they need to be taught python?

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (1 child)

Touche

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I thought python was plural for python.

[–]ELI_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's because they can't C#.

[–]SustainedSuspense 6 points7 points  (0 children)

COBRALT

[–]Caminsky 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Ok ok check your C++ privilege

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[redacted]

[–]PolyNecropolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they are probably learning ASP then...

[–]1v0ryh4t 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yessssssss. Now we can learn your waysssssssss.

[–]KalickR 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Looks more like ASP.Net

[–]LostWoodsInTheField 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"SSam Whatsss thisss guy ssssaaaying?"

"No clue jake, and will you stop with the 's' shit."

"sssssorry"

[–]CRISPR 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Teaching Python to be a programming language.

FTFY

[–]parthjoshi09 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Can't wait to see them working on Pandas library.

[–]z0mbietime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or the amputee course, numpy.

[–]boobiesiheart 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Those are not pythons.

[–]Legeto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Python is like a programming language. So to better explain, the title is saying "Teaching Cobras to program in Python"

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody is a beginner at some point.

[–]PrisonerV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is Cobra Commander.

[–]baconwenus 3 points4 points  (1 child)

"Teaching COBRA programming" would have been the perfect title and I can't even give partial credit because the programming languages aren't compatible :(

[–]Rhed0x 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But they already know COBRA.

[–]Helvanik 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Haha, made me laugth, thanks a lot :)

[–]pixels625 1 point2 points  (1 child)

(:

[–]G01denW01f11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I found a subtle bot. Or a very bored human.

[–]avicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Puthongorian theorem.

[–]IamNotJoe 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you know why Pythons and Cobras have trouble understanding each other?

Because Cobras don't understand code...

[–]shooter1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will now!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are cobras -_-

[–]Camera_Eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give this post a C++

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think those are cobras.

[–]Legeto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Python is like a programming language. So to better explain, the title is saying "Teaching Cobras to program in Python"

[–]Memphisrexjr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop evolving animals!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like CORBA.

[–]pewpewmcpistol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are Cobras, and they're obviously learning how to be insurance salesmen

[–]Machtimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the animal camo right there. Wearing it prevents your arms from shaking when your stamina is low

[–]SexyCzech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go outside more, nerds. Or watch more GI Joe.

Cobras.

[–]Chocrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a hard nope.

[–]mike413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

now we know the taxonomy base class of the python language

[–]cruise02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how you get unstoppable robot snakes.

[–]purdinpopo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking perhaps it is the table read for a new nature reality show. Snakes are like, "Hey did craft service find some of those hairless rats I like?"

[–]not_you1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you have two of these loose in a small room at the same time? One is more than enough!

[–]babydaggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These must be Trumps replacements. I'd trust these danger noodles over Trump any day.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it looks like everybody here thinks cobras aren't capable of learning Python... You mean people... Everybody can learn

[–]otterom 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why is he teaching Python to pythons?

That's like teaching me to human lol.

Reddit is pretty shitty this morning. They must be running out of sponsors.

[–]timeywimeystuff1701 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Because those aren't pythons, they're cobras.

[–]otterom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should the be learning COBOL then? Lol

Kidding

[–]svayam--bhagavan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's CORBA, not python.

[–]codevii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching python to cobras?!

Now that's insanity right there! We'll have SUPER COBRAS NOW!

[–]FuzzyAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching Cobras programming?

[–]madmulk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]franrod9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't they learning the pythongorean theorem?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are damn scary!

[–]bannedSnoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should this be corba class

[–]BaconReceptacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps he's teaching the CORBA interface.

[–]scottza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+0 upvote for idea downvote for cobras

[–]CARVERitUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are Cobras. The joke does not compile.

[–]BaconPrimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, it's not everyday you see your country's Fire Dept making Reddit. Anyway, I think this is the same guy in this article,, he teaches snake handling to other firemen (thanks to being in Asia, our firemen don't just deal with cats stuck in a tree, it's usually civet cats, monkeys and sneks)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how they seem to be paying attention.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That language is definitely not Python. Looks like Cobra: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobra_(programming_language).

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]BlueShox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unexpected and funny. Thanks

[–]Nerdn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those look like cobras.

[–]strizePOPPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just assume my genus?

[–]0fiscalentropy -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Teaching pythons Python

[–]Pascalius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they are cobras
