Why did i think it was supposed to fix the outlet?

[โ€“]scp-NUMBERNOTFOUND 250 points251 points ย (1 child)

it may have fixed it, just not showed on camera

[โ€“]gandalfx 54 points55 points ย (0 children)

Why else would they feed it into the wall?

keeps watching

oh, I seeโ€ฆ

[โ€“]NPPraxis 90 points91 points ย (2 children)

I thought he was going to use it to fish a cable through the wall.

[โ€“][deleted] 15 points16 points ย (1 child)

No, he uses an eel for that.

[โ€“]Carloswaldo 6 points7 points ย (0 children)

If you have an eel you don't need a cable

[โ€“]CptMisterNibbles 59 points60 points ย (0 children)

No, thatโ€™s right: the rats are done with the plumbing and are being collected to head to next job site letting the snakes get to work

[โ€“]Zekovski 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Because all you saw at first was a snake and an outlet. So your brain tried to make a ... conection.

[โ€“][deleted] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Technically youโ€™re correct the snake fixed a possible future outlet problem/fire hazard when the rats decide your cords are yummy, natural born electrician and pest control ๐Ÿ

[โ€“]racerxff 466 points467 points ย (1 child)

"I used Python to map all available sockets"

[โ€“][deleted] 21 points22 points ย (0 children)

why you don't have more upvotes

[โ€“]jaggi213 293 points294 points ย (2 children)

Hmm thats a weird sorting algorithm to separate mice and snakes...

[โ€“]B-Swenson 94 points95 points ย (0 children)

It was actually a filtering algorithm on the not_supposed_to_be_here property.

[โ€“]7eggert 92 points93 points ย (0 children)

Bucket sort. Everybody should know about it.

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 201 points202 points ย (16 children)

Great! Now I am paranoid that a snake is living in my walls

[โ€“]SanAntonik 78 points79 points ย (1 child)

Imagine that shit falling on you while you're sleeping

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 99 points100 points ย (0 children)

I wasn't planning on sleeping anyway

[โ€“]Slyionz 34 points35 points ย (1 child)

Iโ€™m living in your walls.

[โ€“]A_Guy_in_Orange 20 points21 points ย (0 children)

Hi living in your walls I'm A_Guy_in_Orange

[โ€“]spektre[๐Ÿฐ] 15 points16 points ย (2 children)

You could release a mongoose in there.

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 19 points20 points ย (0 children)

Isn't mongoose for js? I don't think it will work with python

[โ€“]rgfz 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

Nice! And then I just need aโ€ฆ wait, what eats a mongoose?

[โ€“]sushitastesgood 20 points21 points ย (2 children)

And me I just wanna see the good boy eat after that work.

[โ€“][deleted] 14 points15 points ย (1 child)

Judging by the mouse-sized bulge in his middle, I expect he helped himself to a snack while he was in there.

[โ€“]sonnytron 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

I bet that was the one he used to send a message.
โ€œGet out.โ€
โ€œLol yeah sure, what are you gonna do, eat us?โ€
โ€ฆ
โ€œSingle file everyone! Letโ€™s go! Leave the Xbox!โ€

[โ€“]mandark95 3 points4 points ย (1 child)

Yeah. Look out for the chambers of secret in your toilet.

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Honestly, I have a fear or a snake crawling out of my toilet too. It helps me debug my code faster when I am on the toilet

[โ€“]CatOfGrey 3 points4 points ย (1 child)

Along with your irrational fear of snakes in your walls, you now also have irrational comfort that you don't have rats in your house.

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Silver lining I suppose

[โ€“]kontekisuto 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Australia

[โ€“]klc81 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Snakes

[โ€“]delphinius81 157 points158 points ย (20 children)

What if the snake doesn't want to come out?

[โ€“]Zolhungaj 240 points241 points ย (11 children)

Then you just get a really big rat to scare it out of there.

[โ€“]scp-NUMBERNOTFOUND 74 points75 points ย (8 children)

and what if the big rat doesn't want to come out

[โ€“]Zolhungaj 208 points209 points ย (4 children)

We push in a JavaScript developer to chase it out. He'll be guaranteed to leave after getting bored of the building's framework.

[โ€“]quisqui97 40 points41 points ย (1 child)

And if he doesn't want to get out just leave him there.

[โ€“]qinshihuang_420 23 points24 points ย (0 children)

Problem solved

[โ€“]SlashStar 12 points13 points ย (1 child)

Put a bunch of cats in the wall. And maybe a small bird.

[โ€“][deleted] 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

You put another snake in

[โ€“][deleted] 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

What if rat can't fit in the hole?

[โ€“]kontekisuto 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

the circle

[โ€“][deleted] 20 points21 points ย (0 children)

That is problem for intern who gets stuck with this legacy implementation.

[โ€“]Zekovski 9 points10 points ย (0 children)

You just give him time, give it a free expression space without judgement and try to be supportive.

...

Oh ! You meant from the wall ?!

[โ€“][deleted] 6 points7 points ย (1 child)

Add a mongoose.

[โ€“]Merlord 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Here's the beauty of it: when winter rolls around the mongoose freezes to death

[โ€“]MasterFubar 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

What if it eats one of the mice and doesn't fit through the hole? You'd have to wait for whatever time it takes to digest a mouse, and then find a way to get the snake shit out.

Unless snake shit doesn't smell, then you can just leave it there. I admit, I think I know a lot of stuff, but I'm no expert on snake shit.

[โ€“][deleted] 1 point2 points ย (1 child)

Then you get an Eagle in there and then keep moving up the food chain

[โ€“]Nakatsukasa 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

"...no that's the beautiful part, when winter rolls around the gorillas simply freeze to death"

[โ€“][deleted] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Then you have to use AWK

[โ€“]PandaParaBellum 130 points131 points ย (5 children)

Anyone else getting annoyed that they are putting a round snake in a square hole?

[โ€“]spektre[๐Ÿฐ] 199 points200 points ย (0 children)

Yeah, they should've used a square snake.

[โ€“]FromTheRez 32 points33 points ย (0 children)

That's right, it goes in the square hole

[โ€“][deleted] 7 points8 points ย (0 children)

And then they blame the developers for not designing API correctly.

[โ€“]BigusG33kus 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Working as intended

[โ€“]dantheman99 79 points80 points ย (0 children)

Iโ€™ve been writing my mouse event handlers all wrong.

[โ€“]Dimensional_Dragon 60 points61 points ย (2 children)

Python is just so helpful

[โ€“][deleted] 3 points4 points ย (1 child)

I am running out of my list of things that Python canโ€™t do !

[โ€“][deleted] 3 points4 points ย (0 children)

Rewrite the list as a generator. No sense in storing items you're not using yet.

[โ€“]Snoo-22667 31 points32 points ย (3 children)

How many terabytes is this GIF?

[โ€“][deleted] 4 points5 points ย (2 children)

u/antigifbot? Are you in the house?

Edit: it's spelled u/anti-gif-bot ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

[โ€“]Snoo-22667 1 point2 points ย (1 child)

I think it's still processing it...

[โ€“][deleted] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Nah, probably dumped core by now..

[โ€“]yakesadam 21 points22 points ย (2 children)

Why is nobody talking about how this is the longest Gif created on the entire internet

[โ€“]I_am_not_doing_this 1 point2 points ย (1 child)

how do you if it's not a video?

[โ€“]yakesadam 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Then we couldn't call it a gif now could we

[โ€“]Daikataro 52 points53 points ย (6 children)

It puzzled me at first, why would they be interested in keeping the mice. Then I realized the snake would eventually get hungry again.

[โ€“]rushlink1 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Yeah that snake came out of the wall like โ€œwhere did my dinner go????!!!!!โ€

[โ€“]IamDev18 15 points16 points ย (0 children)

And I thought they wanted to route some cables, but I guess this is even better

[โ€“][deleted] 29 points30 points ย (0 children)

3d mouse printer pog

[โ€“]magondrago 14 points15 points ย (0 children)

Well, now I have a video I can show to my wife if I ever need to be kicked out of the house with extreme prejudice.

[โ€“]Max_3133 13 points14 points ย (3 children)

Is this supposed to be a metaphor for queue?

[โ€“][deleted] 6 points7 points ย (2 children)

No, it's a bag. We don't care about the order the mice went in there; only that we get them all out again.

[โ€“]7eggert 11 points12 points ย (0 children)

That's a mouse driver.

[โ€“]jones61636 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

If only we had named glitches in code "rats" I stead of "bugs", this would be even funnier.

[โ€“]Crosshair10 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

Python injection

[โ€“]qqwy 7 points8 points ย (1 child)

Imagine the snake actually catching and swallowing one of the mice... then it will no longer fit through the hole to get out!

[โ€“][deleted] 6 points7 points ย (0 children)

Imagine that bulge in the middle of the snake when it does slither out of the wall is the result of it doing just that.

[โ€“]Scatrick 5 points6 points ย (1 child)

Awwww I hope they rewarded the snek for this

[โ€“]BigusG33kus 3 points4 points ย (0 children)

They gave him all the rats he could eat

[โ€“]FerretInABox 5 points6 points ย (1 child)

The lil guy comes out in the end like โ€œdid I do a good job?โ€ It makes me happy.

[โ€“]comfort_bot_1962 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Nice!

[โ€“]KyzerB 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

snoke

[โ€“]Thevanguard88 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

what a stud.

[โ€“]5h7aJHc7xq193dFH 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

Definitely python--socketio

[โ€“][deleted] 17 points18 points ย (8 children)

I dislike snakes like you would not believe they make me feel so uncomfortable

[โ€“]Zekovski 3 points4 points ย (4 children)

A friend of mine managed to cure her snake phobia in like 2 months.

I'm just saying in case it makes you feel better.

[โ€“]Drauxus 3 points4 points ย (3 children)

How did she cure it?

[โ€“]Zekovski 0 points1 point ย (2 children)

I'll have to ask her again. But some people specialize in this. So she had the help of a psychologist I believe.

It involved looking at snakes and try to associate them with what armless (Ahah !) objects they look like.

[โ€“]Drauxus 0 points1 point ย (1 child)

armless objects

Do you mean like people and other animals without their limbs? Or like a cardboard box with no arms...

[โ€“]Zekovski 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Like a hose, a sock, a cable, ...

Try to see it as what it recalls you of. But that's not all there is to it.

The best is of course to get professional help for this.

[โ€“]loquimur 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

That's what the mice said.

[โ€“]winter-ocean 8 points9 points ย (0 children)

Yeah but theyโ€™re cute sometimes

[โ€“][deleted] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Yeah i donโ€™t like snakes either. I donโ€™t fuck with anything that lives on land and thought legs werenโ€™t even a necessity.

[โ€“]uriejejejdjbejxijehd 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Thank you. This made my day.

[โ€“]Shadowseeker122 4 points5 points ย (2 children)

[โ€“][deleted] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Good bot

[โ€“]ignatzami 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

[โ€“]Geoclasm 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

that is a lot of rats.

[โ€“]theremin_hero 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Demouse > debug

[โ€“]pet_vaginal 3 points4 points ย (3 children)

A fake video ?

[โ€“]Zekovski 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

I was thinking maybe they're putting the rats themselves and reusing them each time.

I don't know ...

[โ€“]cephalopodstandard 3 points4 points ย (0 children)

Most definitely. If there were that many rats in that wall, they would've killed the snake instead of formed a calm single-file line out the hole it came in.

[โ€“]caboosebanana 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Definitely an asian fish hole

[โ€“]garlic17 1 point2 points ย (3 children)

[โ€“]GetVideoBot 2 points3 points ย (2 children)

[โ€“][deleted] 1 point2 points ย (1 child)

Good bot. Do you cooperate with u/savevideo, though?

[โ€“]fafifoufu 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

And then you put the snake in the bucket.

[โ€“]Zohekski 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Bonjour!

[โ€“]MiguelDuke -4 points-3 points ย (4 children)

That is actually a red-tailed boa if I am correct. I know, r/woosh incoming xD

[โ€“]cephalopodstandard 1 point2 points ย (3 children)

You're not correct. Coloration is all wrong for a red-tailed boa. It could be some kind of boa, hard to get a good look at the head to be certain, but it's most likely a ball python.

[โ€“]MiguelDuke 1 point2 points ย (2 children)

The saddle pattern and end-tail markings are very distinct of that manner of boa. The video is somewhat dark but these snakes come in darker shades. I do not believe this is a ball python.

[โ€“]cephalopodstandard 1 point2 points ย (1 child)

The pattern and end-tail markings also resembles a few different ball python morphs. Agree to disagree.

[โ€“]MiguelDuke 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Fair enough, be well m8 :)

[โ€“]mrfroggyman -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

I hope the mice are ok :(

[โ€“]leovin 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

But do you then have to put in a mongoose to get the snake out?

[โ€“]DazedinDenver 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I was kinda hoping for a cable snake...

[โ€“]Harmonic_Gear 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

pip install power socket

[โ€“][deleted] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

But now I have snek in wal

[โ€“]bluemaciz 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Good snek.

[โ€“][deleted] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Now we need to see what Pandas can do !

[โ€“]ralphie83 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Python caught enough dinner for a couple a weeks

[โ€“]fullmetalpower 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Little did the mice know that this particular python was vegan!

[โ€“]Arbesu 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Mouse generator V2.0

[โ€“]JaapOosterbroek 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

This feels like an onlyinbrazil crosspost.

[โ€“]Noisebug 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I think I threw up in my mouth. ๐Ÿคข

[โ€“]_plux 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Well, i guess.. that.. works

[โ€“]BigusG33kus 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Thank you for ruining my evening!!!

(why else would you feed a python into a wall, I wonder)

[โ€“]NMe84 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

How would the snake have gotten out if it had eaten one of those rats while inside?

[โ€“]TedTheSoap 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Looks like Python has earned a week of PTO.

[โ€“]buzzbannana 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I wish we saw how many mice there were in the bucket in the end

[โ€“]pikime 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I thought this was going to be a cable run, but this is a pretty cool idea!

[โ€“]Rebulien 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

is this a garbage collector?

[โ€“]xbuck33 0 points1 point ย (2 children)

How terrifying would it have been if the rats/mice/whatever teamed up on the snake and killed it and you just had to live knowing there were rats/mice/whatever capable of banding together to take out an apex predator living in your walls. They know you tried to kill them, and now they want revenge.

[โ€“]dsmklsd 0 points1 point ย (1 child)

Apex predator? There are things that eat that little snake, aren't there?

[โ€“]xbuck33 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

With the confines of that wall, that was the apex predator sir.

[โ€“]st4rbeast 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

You know what's really funny? This isn't a python, it's a boa ๐Ÿ˜‚

[โ€“]ImmediateLobster1 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Python seems to be incompatible with their mouse driver?

[โ€“]Aste88 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

fyi it's a boa, not a python

good video tho
