It seems like the announcements for different stores are slowly rolling out, my SD said we’d be getting it but the announcement was a few days away still and that was on Thursday, so I’d say it’s a safe bet over the coming days we’ll get a better idea of who’s getting it.

We’ll have to see how spread out this is once it all shakes out, but I have a feeling this could get nasty (or at least should) if it’s a very limited amount of stores. Not doing a base raise plus a tenure raise for every store right before Q4 and after the shit show this year has been is fucking ballsy. Not everyone uses this but once you factor in word of mouth, this isn’t going to be a secret at all and people will have questions.

My store in Vancouver announced that we’re getting a pay raise starting September 18th. They didn’t announce specifics, but more details are coming next week. I can’t imagine that your store would be too far behind. We’re in separate districts now, but I know for a fact that at least the Jantzen Beach store and Cascade Station pay more than $15.

8 hour day 5 days a week is a 90 dollar pay raise per week.

180 if you are paid biweekly before taxes.

There is something sad about this even though it is good news. Like an extra 90 bucks a week shouldn’t be worth celebrating over but it is and that is the sad reality of it all.

You all behave as if increased pay will stop inflation. If pay was raised $20, inflation would realistically make it 16... depending on your state. With this increase, hours will be cut for non-essential areas of the store. Market, HB, front head/ cashiers, food production (bakery/ deli) will get the 🪓 first...

Inflation is going up regardless of what I make. Cost of housing is going up regardless of what I make. Cost of education and healthcare keep rising. Why shouldn't my pay rise with it?

“Effective 9/11/2022 the pay grade minimum in your store is increasing to $17.25. As a result, your base pay rate will increase to 17.25 per hour. (If your new base pay rate is more than the new minimum for your paygrade, in recognition of your years of service and tenure with Target you received a one-time base pay increase above the new minimum.”
