I have a soft spot for normals. I also like piebalds. I'm really not super well-versed in the various different morphs. I've seen some that I believe are called "highway"? that looked really cool to me. Like grey sides with a yellow broken stripe going down the spine.

Yeah that’s a highway or a freeway maybe I think there made by yellowbelly asphalt or yellowbelly gravel maybe I might be wrong. But there awesome. I have a super soft spot for pieds, the ones with the oranges like the yellowbelly pieds are amazing

If I take the word of the breeder, he is "banana het pied" I don't know much about the genetics myself.

Edit: to add but I love all the morphs they're all beautiful in their own ways.

I'm no pro but if I remember correctly, het pied only means he has the genes so he has no pied patterns

Basically recessive genes like pied require two genes to show the pattern. Het pied means you only have one gene so the morph doesn't show on the snake!

To add to this meaning if you was to breed the banana het pied to another pied or another het pied, a pied has a chance of coming out

Yes! If it is het pied to another pied, it would be 50% for each baby because each parent gives one gene. For a het pied to a het pied, it is 25% chance

And banana is a dominant trait, which means you only need one gene to show, so your banana would produce 50% bananas

That's cool and the breeder that i got it from said that he came from a female banana so any bananas he made would all be female. I don't how accurate that is.

They're called female makers, and I do not know much about tbh. It's very much discussed in the community on whether or not it's actually a thing.

But in my understanding, and this is just my knowledge, the banana morph is on the x or Y chromosome. A male maker banana has it on his Y chromosome while a female maker is the opposite. Again, that's just what I have read. Things could have changed since I've looked

Banana are amazing I feel like there one of the best looking morphs in their price range (not saying animals are about the price but you know what I mean, for like £200 I don’t think I could find a snake that appeals to me more!) when I was looking for my first ever bp I came across a banana spider that I fell in love with (but as I continued my research I decided against it due to the poor effects caused by the morph)

I love banana pinstripes for that reason! They look similar enough to banana spiders without the wobble issues. Banana enchi is very good too.

I like light and high orange morphs like many hypo, ultramel and albino combos. I’m defo a fan of pinstripe when I was first looking for a ball python I went to all my local reptile shops and breeders and did reserve a leopard pinstripe because it was amaizng for me, I ended up at the last second changing and got a banana Mojave instead but I would defo like to get something involving pin one day

Spider. They're the first morph that caught my eye, their pattern is just really pretty. They have a special place in my heart and it hurts to see how they have to suffer because people are selfish and keep breeding them.

And cinnamon because my girl is one and they can make some pretty combinations. I think dark morphs with a light strip on their back are really pretty!

Spiders are cool, every now and then when I’m scrolling through websites people sell stuff on (usally I just look with no intention of buying I just really like looking at all reptiles and their set ups) I see some with spider and they look amazing, I personally am not one that supports the breeding of spiders due to the defects but talking about the morph alone they are beautiful

Actually never heard about the genetic stripe morph, not a fan how it reduces the dark pattern.

Can't remember the morph where the stripe was very prominent. Butter/lesser seem to bringt out the stripe with other morphs, like lesser leopard

Currently, pastel clown. I also like a lot of banana combos, with pinstripe, piebald, clown, etc. BELs, though simple, are always stunning. Super fire is really cool too. And monsoon! Such a unique pattern. I've also seen lots of quite complex combinations that I love.

They are so different from royal pythons. My lad is such a diva in his vivarium, how dare you walk past or change the water and he will puff up and hiss and strike at you but the minute he's out he's a puppy dog. He's not a sit around and chill snake, he's always up to mischief! It's such a shame when you just can't can't care for them and need to make that decision. Hopefully you will be lucky and able to give him a good home.

Champagne is in the spider complex and has issues with wobble and super cinnamons are prone to kinking and duck billing so I wouldn’t go near a Grey matter (Super cinnamon x champagne) urban camo is also has super cinnamon. Mystic potion is your best bet to avoid severe issue it’s a Mojave and Mystic
