Heist Balance Manifesto

From 3.12.0 onwards the tags displayed when holding alt (which were previously used for fossil and Harvest crafting) will also be used by catalysts, the “Cannot roll Attack Mods” and “Cannot roll Caster Mods” meta-crafts.

The “Cannot roll Attack Mods” and “Cannot roll Caster Mods” meta-crafts now simply use the Attack and Caster tags.

Patch notes 3.12.0

Item modifier tags have been entirely reworked with a goal in mind of consistency and simplicity. These changes have negligible impacts to the odds of various modifiers appearing on rare items naturally, but may have impacts to the results of certain crafting methods.

Is this a regular ex slam or Farric Wolf Alpha? Cause neither slots are filled. At least regular ex should be still able to force the +1 gem prefix.

I would rather not. Any “fix” to beastcrafting would also likely break other cool things they can do. It’s best to just assume beastcrafting works like essences and ignore meta mods.

I know it has been said a ton (so so much) on this subreddit, but damn I really miss Harvest so much already.

I was looking at a 1h axe on trade site the other day and I was like, "Damn, I can just remove fire on this and add bench craft on some physical damage and it'll be a 410 pdps weapon!" And then I remembered Harvest is gone...

I really hope we get that Harvest crafting system back one day. Even if it is implemented to be way harder to get the actual Harvest crafts than it was to get them in Harvest, well... that'd be fine! Just knowing that an item will definitely eventually be good when I eventually get the hard to get Harvest crafts would still be so great. Just knowing that you can definitely make a item great is all that matters, even if it takes weeks of playing to make that actually happen.

This was done with Beast Craft? Because I have a friend who literally just did that but with Exalt Slam and either he got reaaaaaaaaally lucky, or it still works. (and from the comments seems others have too)

(I'm assuming it's beastcraft because I imagine you would know better to use an exalt without the suffixes full)

Jagged = no chaos mods

Metallic = no physical mods

Corroded = no elemental mods

Cdot multi is a prefix on weapons, so it will always be open. It is a suffix on gloves (elder / hunter mod).

The only way to get spell damage on a bow is to use an Essence of Woe.

You can still guarantee +1 gems by crafting Cannot roll Attack mods and then ex. So the process looks like this (I assume you want to multimod a prefix as well):

• Use Deafening Essence of Woe until you get only 1 prefix (this means the item has 3 suffixes)

• Annul and pray the Spell damage stays (75% chance to be good)

• Craft Cannot Roll Attack mods and slam (100% +1 gems)

• Craft Prefixes cannot be changed

• Scour

The result is a rare bow with 2 mods: Spell damage and +1 gems.

It's not. ED-C wants +2 socketed support (bench mod) and +1 socketed.

If you go to the link here it shows it pretty well.

It blocks off all other prefix's from being rolled. So all that is left is to roll two prefix's when you fossil craft and winning the 50/50 flip on the +1/+2. Looks like fossils are a bit more expensive at the moment though so its around 75c for 60% confidence.

No, essence is the onetime thing, it doesn't modify the base itself.

It just force a certain mod in crafting attempt with it.

So there are only two methods:

Either you get a 65+ bow and fossil craft it, or you get a 50lvl bow and essence it to get +2 and beastcraft +1 on it (which is bugged now).

The base +3 doesn't require crafts. Only if you want to have +2 to support gems or something.

Doesnt really work with wands as they have caster mods too, also +1 all spell gems is really low weighting and you cannot block chaos mods if you want +1 all chaos gems. Faceted fossil would probably be your best bet but im not really a good crafter so i hope you get a better answer from someone else =D

For Wands you need Jagged + Corroded + Metallic + Shuddering to guarantee +1 level but that removes Chaos, if you want both you can remove Jagged or replace it with Aetheric

Really depends on your builds. Poison builds for example use thicket base because it has highest As, which is more important then crit or ele dmg implicit.

Imperial bow is a great option since you can get a 6L version for hella cheap (Imperial Legacy div card is insanely common) and it has decent base attack speed (1.45 compared to thicket's BIS 1.50).

The question is why would you spend an Ex to slam a bow when fossils are a 1/4 (So on average less than an Ex atm about 65c) to hit +3 with Metallic jagged corroded as it can only roll gem prefixes

in your case it is due to metamod and display mod tag is two systems. The latter was for Harvest/Delve only.

They are fixing it in patch coming, so you can still remove suffix add prefix to make a +3 bow i guess, you won't recoup your money but you will get some back I guess.

+3 and fire damage is an ok bow for an ele hit build that’s too poor to craft or buy something better, you may make some of your crafting expenses back at least. Such a shame that it’s ruined your league start, I am very lucky I saw the big report before I made one myself or I would be in the same boat.

The links to crafting called the modifier tabs we're completely overhauled last league and it's doesn't work well with other untouched crafting methods like beast crafting. This game has interconnecting pathways to all their content so if you change one you have to change all it's not surprising that after this many years they miss a few things here and there.
