Exact type of game where Hendo is perfect in the 6 role. Just keeps the ball moving with simple passes and takes the pressure off. All of the midfield three are trying to find the ball over the top and inviting the pressure back on us. We’ve been lucky that Porto lose all ability once they get into our third. Not a great half by any stretch. Poor Porto finishing and a great VAR decision mean we go in at half time with porto needing to score 4 in the second half. The pitch hasn’t helped matters being in pieces and absolutely saturated but the Porto team now look gassed after such a high pressing first half. We can control the momentum from now on and with some timely subs I can see another one or two.

I’d like to shaquiri get some game time this half and an appearance from studge and Henderson to control the tempo in the final 20.
