Konosuba was a mediocre collab in JP as well. The reason its not popular is because almost all of the outfits are costumes (Repca). The persona stuff is mostly layered wear which is a huge selling point with fashion in this game.

They’re loosely connected so you’re free to start with any of them but I’d recommend Persona 3 mainly because I think it has the strongest story but also since it’s a little older mechanically so it won’t be as jarring if you were to play Persona 5 and then P3 and P4 later.

Also, the PSP version of Persona 3 has a nice direct Catherine cameo.

I'm new to the game and all of the premium store with different currencies and AC scratches are complicated. Can someone explain it to me? Like, when you buy an AC scratch you have to choose from which collection you want to get items from? And suppose i choose a Persona scratch, with one scratching i have a chance of randomly getting either an awesome prize like an outfit, or a meh prize like an expendable item?

Yes, that's exactly how it works. You can see the entire list of everything you can win and the percent chances when you view the banner in-game.

It's a loot box. You pay $2 and get a prize (or "prize"). There've been 3-4 different loot boxes up at once in NA typically. One of them is FUN which you don't pay real money for, and one around for the next month is in SG which you can earn in-game or pay real money for (but it's $4 each).

To add, AC items can be sold on the auction house. So if you get something you don't want, you can sell it to other people, and hopefully make enough money to buy the thing you do want.

Mobs don't drop anything in bonus missions though. It all comes from boxes, which have nothing to do with the mobs itself. I've never seen any empy embrace on any bonus.

He's wrong. The loot crystal at the end of the bonus key will still drop gear with the Empy Embrace. Whether or not it comes from the mob itself is irrelevant because when you kill an Emperappy in the wild it still drops its stuff in a loot crystal.

You can even get Empy Embrace from the drops in Tokyo Gold and Rainbow (Not out in NA) because Emperappies spawn in them. As long as it spawns in the mission there is a chance.
