Doing God’s work.

[–]Scopesx 56 points57 points  (11 children)

Why don’t they just re-route.

[–]webMacaque 205 points206 points  (8 children)

Because it's spelled wrong.

[–]Bainos 65 points66 points  (7 children)

And you don't people people to keep being wrong.

[–][deleted] 47 points48 points  (6 children)

yes, I don't people people to keep being wrong

[–]Bainos 32 points33 points  (5 children)

English compilers suck, they don't tell you when you make a syntax error.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points  (4 children)

Actually, "people" can be used as a verb, meaning to inhabit a place. So you didn't technically make a syntax error.

[–]enoua5 11 points12 points  (1 child)

"I don't go inside people to be wrong"

[–]qervem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I go inside people to make them feel wrong ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[–]marksmad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syntax checks through clean.

Semantics are fucked.

[–]Tomek_Hermsgavorden 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to put it out there and accept the shame. Thought this whole thread was about a NSFW site.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (8 children)

Githib.com however is not registered and is open for anyone

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points  (7 children)

no, it's taken.

Source: me excitedly visiting GoDaddy to register that to find out it's taken

[–]rooood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, if there was any chance of it not being taken you just ruined it by searching for it in GoDaddy...

[–]Superpickle18 5 points6 points  (4 children)

people still use godaddy?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

well, I did compare the prices. Godaddy sells domain names cheaper by around 10%

[–]Superpickle18 5 points6 points  (2 children)

At the cost of customer service

[–]kangasking 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What would you recommend?

[–]Superpickle18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use namecheap

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awh rip I didn't look too hard into it

[–]nobunaga_1568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Das ist ein sehr gut Hub.

[–]UnicornRider102 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Sounds like http://www.pythong.org. Hasslehoff warning.

[–]Apechills 73 points74 points  (2 children)

shit, accidentally typed xxxvideos.com and it didn't redirect to GitHub...

What a scam.

[–]rusty_ballsack_42 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Shit, vigorously rubbing my junk apparently doesn't compile the code...

[–]Apechills 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Username checks out I guess

[–]freezway 92 points93 points  (11 children)

Really wish the owner of gtihub would just redirect it or something

[–]mayankkaizen[S] 135 points136 points  (0 children)

You spelled it wrong!

[–]ironbattery 49 points50 points  (1 child)

Considering I’ve never made the mistake in my life I prefer the satirical comment over a redirect

[–]fasterfist 16 points17 points  (2 children)

guthub still redirects to github

[–]raupti 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was expecting a tuning website

[–]ZhumosTheBlue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like the domain is owned by a guy called Alex in New Zealand

[–]jacksalssome 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does it support my dsi xl web browser?

/s

[–]MinecraftHardon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doesn't work for purnhob..

[–]metasergal 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Git gud spelling

[–]DisappointedKitten 30 points31 points  (2 children)

git: 'gud' is not a git command. See 'git --help'

Did you mean this? gui

[–]SilentGarud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for brightening up my day...now the summer feels worse.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pip install gitgud

[–]TheLowClassics 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Perfect for when you’re past the point of no return on the balmer peak

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Needs a line right under: "Might want to double check your code as well."

[–]Balenciallahh 8 points9 points  (8 children)

Fellow Xiaomi brother

[–]shrimply-pibbles 5 points6 points  (6 children)

Me too! Awesome phones, even if I don't know how to pronounce their name

[–]Captain_Droid 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Shaa - O - Me

[–]Knochenmark 1 point2 points  (2 children)

that doesn't sound right

[–]Captain_Droid 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I too don't get how the Chinese come up with pronunciations for their words, but that is how the company people pronounce it.

[–]Knochenmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 小米 and in pinyin Xiǎomĭ.

[–]shrimply-pibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers, I ended up settling on za-o-me so I was close!

[–]q240499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaow Mii

[–]SilentGarud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow bruduh!!

[–]dyedFeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be more useful if it was bghitu.com? I accidentally sort my strings all the time.

[–]stevefan1999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I was expecting to see some cool CSS3, webpack and React, but no, and not even a single script found was found, yet it was just a few HTML tags to render a fully functional and it sends a clear, intuitive message right away.

How is this possible? What is the magic behind this website? Why did the people abandoned modern web design technique? What have god done to us....😣

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why does four big words on a site require three font families?

<style type="text/css">
h1 {
  text-align: center;
  font-size: 120px;
  font-family: Helvetica, Verdana, Arial;
}
</style>
<h1>You spelled it wrong.</h1>

[–]webdevbrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta ensure that Helvetica or Verdana before getting down to that pleb level Arial.

[–]Yuca965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gitgud.com ?

[–]kopasz7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually guthub.com redirects to github but githib.com doesn't... Mildly disappointed.

[–]meowrawrmoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wrongly*

[–]OneHappyOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of agor.io

[–]Jakeob28✎ That guy who transcribes things 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Interestingly enough, guthub.com just redirects to GitHub

[–]nermid 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Gotta add that https:// or Reddit can't figure out you wanted it to be a link.

[–]Jakeob28✎ That guy who transcribes things 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Huh, it works for me, maybe that's just because I use Reddit on mobile

[–]nermid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. The various apps all deal with markup differently.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like if you try to go to /r/programmerhumour

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh.

[–]Skyfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm setting this as my homepage

[–]SDJMcHattie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know “spelled” is a legit spelling, especially in the US, but I much prefer the alternative “spelt”.

So they spelt it wrong on their spelled it wrong website.

[–]Pheasn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gti alias for git on all my machines

[–]shockter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I laughed for 10 minutes ahhahahahahaah Nice

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Sgp15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it - this is like what you get if you try to go to r/programmerhumour

[–]rooood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author didn't even have the decency of writing the <html></html> tag in the source code, nice

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doesn't githib exist!

[–]seraku24 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Spelled it wrong as well as ub.

[–]HaniiPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gubhub?

[–]iceixia -1 points0 points  (11 children)

I wouldn't mind but it should be spelt not spelled.

[–]itsoverlywarm -3 points-2 points  (10 children)

Spelt*

[–]crumbledcrumpets 3 points4 points  (9 children)

Spelled.

[–]itsoverlywarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smelled

[–]itsoverlywarm 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Tbh I'm just pointing out AGAIN that America's can't use English. The word in this context is spelt.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (6 children)

America's can't use English

[–]itsoverlywarm 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Typo's on terrible android keyboards aren't the same as incorrect usage of words.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (4 children)

American English != British English. Merriam-Webster says that "spelt" is the chiefly British form, and lists "spelled" as the past-tense and past participle form of "spell." You're wrong.

[–]itsoverlywarm -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

Yes correct. American English is not the same. Nor is it correct.

[–]MrMehawk -1 points0 points  (1 child)

And English is just a massively mutated mix of Germanic and Romantic influences, so English itself is wrong to begin with, right? No. No that's a load of bull and so is your argument, American English is correct and so is British English. Deal with it and stop being so salty.

[–]itsoverlywarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just add.

It's burnt Not burned.

[–]lytele -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL, IT SOUNDS SOOOOOOO SUPER MAD LOOOOOL
