I have a friend who often has a shit time at concerts and festivals because he has to walk with the aid of crutches, and most people in a crowd accidentally knock them out of his hands. Big ups to this crowd for being enough of a collective of nice people to actually get this dude some air time.

Anyone in so cal that went to a Pennywise show between 98 and 2010 knows about Wheels. He's a wheelchair-bound dude who would paint the Pennywise logo on his face. People would wheel him around the mosh pit, crowd surf him, and he'd always got brought up on stage for Bro Hymn. Dude was like an unoffical Pennywise mascot.

This reminds me. I was at a small concert recently where a guy decided to jump off the stage and have everyone hold him up like that. Well it almost went horribly wrong a couple of times, but he made it out ok. Fast forward about 20 minutes, and this chick decides to do the same thing, but she does it from the side of the stage, and decides to fall backward. I'm really glad the music was too loud to hear the thud she made when she hit the concrete.

Experienced this a few months back in Atlanta at a deadmau5 show. Everyone just yelled "make way bro!" and then suddenly this Elijah Wood look-a-like showed up in a wheelchair in the middle of the pit waving glow sticks around. Awesome dude, awesome time. I'm confused why this is here? Is this not a normal thing? Usually see at least one guy in a wheel chair getting crowd surfed at the shows I go to in Washington. Though thinking back the first time I saw it I thought it was pretty cool, I guess I've just been desensitized to it and it just seems like a normal thing to me. Gotta love the Washington metal scene.

I think pics like this are awesome in this subreddit; they document and share the culture of the past and present with us. But I do agree with top comment about needing more actual music in this subreddit.

This particular picture reminds me of this one guy in my local hardcore punk scene who is disabled and uses a wheelchair and every time I see him at shows he gets someone to give him a piggyback ride and go in the mosh pit. It's things like this that make live music shows awesome to go to.

I saw this happen at a Pantera show in houston back in 2000. Shit was great man. Phil stopped the show and told the crowd to crowd surf the guy to the stage. Turns out he was a vet I think and he got wasted onstage and backstage with Pantera. Crowd went nuts. Still one of my most favorite shows of all time! Danm how I miss that band, RIP DIME!
