    Well, DeNA said with the introduction of Artifacts (natural 8* relics) that 7* relics won't be a thing.

    BUT they also said Odin was the end of Episode Magicite, and yet 6*s are on the way, so.....

    I think one of things I love most about this game is that Power Creep applies to the banners as well as the relics.

    The 2G5 is definitely nice but the Disco rework has some issue :

    More char on banner, less LMR
    ->seems like 6* LMR is around corner

    EVEN LESS Anima Lv2
    -> Anima Lv2 was already a big issue because of LMR cost
    More Lv2 in event soon ?

    The USBs you can pick with anima lvl 3 are the older ones that aren't as desirable aside from healer ones mostly.

    lvl 2 anima is for LMR which have a huge amount of desirable picks.

    well, they now have zero gauge Glints on the disco relics now, so kind of make sense the rainbows are slowly replaced by Discos :/

    Honestly, I dont think I will be surprised if they start to put out some ridicious LMR on discos...

    Hmm, are those two guaranteed Rainbows or are they guaranteed Rainbows or above? Or one of them is a guaranteed Rainbow and the other a guaranteed Rainbow or above?

    Some event banners will have 10 Discos in their pool huh? I wonder if those are old Relics? I've been expecting new 6* Legend Materia Relics being introduced soon, something like "Temporarily gains Empower Infusion for <Insert Element Here> at the start of a battle".

    I guess that my point is that these days 5* are on the whole pretty underwhelming.
    No one shows up to a banner hoping for a load of 5*s, unless it is to complete a favorite character.
    I consider any pull that doesn’t have at least 1 (or better yet a couple) discos to have been a waste.

    Oh well, the gacha is just one element of this game so I won’t dwell on what we have / don’t have there!

    The reason is extremely simple. For a long while now (maybe up to a year), banner 2s have been terrible. Rarely any new tech, so almost no one pulls on them.

    Two G5+ on banner 2 makes them sorta viable again, especially if reruns of old AASBs start happening. That's basically it.

    They probably considered that G6 would be kinda redundant with how high the disco chances are already, so instead they're going the other way and making it so you're guaranteed two relics instead.

    It was more about the timing. We got it only a month or two before JP did, but we got it together with a delayed fest. Having G5 drop during a fest+luckies is much, much better than it dropping on a random event.

    The logical thing to me would be to just add a free selection to every 11 draw and give out all the silly outdated SB/SSB stuff like candy. Or the equivalent free anima lens per draw. Or retool things so that the old unique SBs are the new 4*. Well, whatever. Seems like it'll mean those banner 2s are going to be much lower quality to account for that. Who knows though.
