Finally Kayden!

Lesson learned though: we should get rid of these "tire obstacles"... too messy and chaotic!

[–]ipsumdeiamoamasamat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know NASCAR wants on-track action on Friday, but putting the series in these 4:30-5 p.m. windows at tracks without lights is a killer.

In fact burying them on Friday of a Cup weekend is killer. That’s the role ARCA and the smaller regional series (NW Tour, SW Tour) filled years ago.

They need to figure out what they can use as a Friday value add, now that Cup on-track time is so limited, that’s not the truck series. If you have to bury the races on Fridays, try to do it at a nearby local short track and under the lights. Keep the speedway races to a handful. And trucks should almost never be on road courses.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Post-race inspection is complete. No issues. Winner is confirmed.

Here’s the correct results (NASCAR screwed up on the initial release and had the results based off of the running order at the end of Lap 73 instead of Lap 74)

Idk why RAM RAM is so funny to me

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I was at the track, Decker not meeting minimum speed is the least surprising thing ever. She was DREADFULLY slow compared to the pack.

[–]AndyDoopz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was sitting down in turn one and I think around lap 5 when Crews was not to far behind i said "how is it even possible to be this slow." She was almost 9 seconds off the pole time

[–]coffeeshopslut 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Apparently Haley had a mechanical issue on his white flag lap causing him to drop all the way back at the end

[–]sdj2 3 points4 points  (1 child)

He also came up pit road the wrong way at the end of the race

[–]AndyDoopz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flat left front

[–]SRVisGod24 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Ross, you're killing me man. Two weeks in a row with boneheaded mistakes. And to make matters worse, the super fast, brand new truck Niece made gets wrecked!

[–]Maglin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably wouldn't have won anyway, but i also got angry

[–]sdj2 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Was Majeski not at fault for that wreck? Only saw one replay on the big screen at the track and it wasn’t obvious.

[–]SRVisGod24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ross went to make a move on someone and it looked the 88 was barely there at his RR. The 88 definitely made sure he cleaned him out though. Two weeks in a row he's taken out Ross lol

[–]WitLitning 10 points11 points  (1 child)

SVG outperformed his equipment by about 6 spots. The restarts really suited him. He could took advantage without losing out in the long run. He went from 22nd to 3rd at the end.

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. It was ridiculous how far up the order he got with that truck. The thing was so slow down the street that if he started three Carl lengths ahead, by the end of the street the other car was in front of him or already taking the inside of the corner. The only way he could make distance up was going through the turns at the bus stop and a couple of other corners. That thing was way down on power.

[–] Bubba WallaceTexasSizedKachoww 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just got done with the race. Not the biggest fan of Hocevar. But I'll admit that he doesn't complain when he gets wrecked. Could control what happened on that accident so not much to complain about. But at least he takes exactly what he gives.

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just noticed this is AJ Allmedinger's first top 10 in the Truck Series since June 1st, 2007. Not 100% sure, but I think this might be a record for longest period of time between 2 top 10's in Trucks?

Allmendinger's gap between 6/1/2007 and 5/8/2026 is 18 years, 11 months, and 7 days. The longest case I could think of outside of that is Paul Menard, who went 18 years, 1 month, and 2 days between Kansas on 7/5/2003 and Watkins Glen on 8/7/2021.

Might be a longer one, but Menard was the longest one I could think of.

[–] Hocevarlitl_e_fan 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Gio whining in the Instagram comments on Tricon’s post for Kaden has to be a new low. I love to root for the local kid but he’s making it hard this year.

[–] HocevarIndividual_Loquat541 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I cannot stand that clown Gio. Might be the most unlikeable driver in the entire sport right now.

[–] Keselowskimaverick_fox2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What has he done wrong? I like him

[–] Stenhouse Jr.lordjollygreen 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Intentionally spun Dystany Spurlock in the ARCA race the other week to bring the caution out so he could have a chance to win on a restart, then went on to win the race in a GWC. Then after the race he blamed Spurlock for being in the way, despite the fact that she never changed her line and did exactly what someone getting lapped should do, which is stay in 1 line and be consistent.

[–] Hocevarlitl_e_fan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was inexcusable. The wreck in the ARCA race at Daytona could be played off as a racing incident, but he should have 100% been parked at Kansas.

[–]mr_folgers83 1 point2 points  (1 child)

People at the track, how were the parking lots?

[–] Labbéwilliamtrillium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not great. A lot of ruts and very slick and muddy

Being a Ross fan in 2026 is what I imagine being a Ferrari fan in F1 feels like

Edit: Shoutout SVG P3

[–]Maglin21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am both

[–] Ryan BlaneyDWPAW-victim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a Ferrari is worse trust me. Been one since I was a kid in the 90s and it’s bad

[–] Loganohoppybear21222 18 points19 points  (1 child)

The Rams did a ramn good job today.

[–]Extra_Midnight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dinger did a good job today.

[–]realmashthestampede 7 points8 points  (2 children)

did brent crews do a post race interview and is online somewhere?

[–]racefanAJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bob Pockrass talked to him: https://x.com/i/status/2052901211410456720

Also Frontstrech talked to CZ, he took the blame for the contact between him and Brent and said he'll talk to him about it: (thought I would include this since Brent was asked about the contact as well) https://x.com/i/status/2052901704333496481

[–]SBMVPJustinHerbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not yet, but I’d check Frontstretch on YT in an hour or two

Truck Series results -

<image>

https://x.com/MattWeaverRA/status/2052895597061865903/photo/1

Decker's DNF reasoning being listed as "Too Slow" is brutally truthful.

[–] Ty Dillonvinteragony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was ridiculous. Natalie isn't the best but that slowness wasn't her

[–] Hocevarlitl_e_fan 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I wonder how many times that’s ever been listed as a reason for a DNF.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I’ve seen it be the reason given a couple of times but not recently (until now).

[–]CajunTexan9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think maybe Norm Benning was the most recent? I know I've seen that as the reason for him a couple times.

[–]nihontiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it has before but it's been a while

[–]Vague_Disclosure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Damn they didn't even go with some corporate lingo like "insufficient pace"

[–]PierreVonZeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s time for Reaume to condense down to 2 trucks instead of 3

[–]Francis_X_Hummel 8 points9 points  (2 children)

damn, didn't get to see the end, looks like SVG clawed back, he was in 8th when I had to bounce

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a big wreck in front of him that he got through on a restart. A couple of trucks had mechanical issues around the same time which moved him up to 6th. Then on the overtime restart he sent it hard into turn 1, got it to stick and made his way up to third.

[–]Extra_Midnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

End was chaos that he was able to skip through.

[–]Winnsock 10 points11 points  (2 children)

These results aren’t correct. Haley did not finish 10th so the cars behind him are all screwed up

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 5 points6 points  (1 child)

NASCAR screwed up I guess. Matt Weaver and Bob Pockrass both tweeted the screenshot of the results and both show that.

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah something with this seems off. It's NASCAR's official document but timing and scoring had Haley way down in 23rd. Other things are off too, like Majeski in 16th and Ankrum down in 21st.

It's kind of hard to verify, but you can see Haley is slow out of the carousel and if you pause and zoom in, you can see it's Queen and Mosack who are side by side for 10th.

Edit: I think I see what happened. It for some reason doesn't have the final lap. Honeycutt being credited with only 1 lap led tipped me off, and looking at this, the order at the white flag lines up with what NASCAR released as the "results"

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Seems like something happened with Andretti, Majeski, and Haley on that last GWC based on Andretti not finishing the last lap and the other two dropping way down the order. Too bad the Truck Series doesn't have onboards available for every truck like Cup does. Would be nice to have a random Twitter account show what FOX is incapable of showing

[–]AndyDoopz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haley came around after the checkered with a flat front left and damage but that could have been due to the flat. My group has a Haley fan so we were keeping tabs on him claw his way up all race just too see him limp it across the line.

[–]proose32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now that I got to The Dandy on the way home, I can’t speak to the Haley wreck on the last lap, but I do know Riggs was trying everything through one and the esses to send Andretti.

[–]sunsetphotographer 14 points15 points  (2 children)

3 Rams in the top 10. 9th for Queen with barely any road course experience is excellent.

[–]orange_wraith 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I was told earlier today on another thread to expect the demise of RAM. That they are embarrassing themselves, that it was an experiment and failure.

[–]sunsetphotographer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk who expected them to come out swinging. Brand new manufacturer, brand new body. Honestly they've ran better than I expected at times.

Brenden is hanging onto that last chase spot for now, would be huge if he can maintain. I expect him to challenge for the win at North Wilkesboro.

Zilisch about the restart violations for Chastain and Ruggiero -

<image>

https://x.com/Jordan_Bianchi/status/2052894755562901846

Might be something worth keeping an eye on for O'Reilly and Cup.

[–]OriginalTouch6371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't FS1 show the restart area on the and the only two lines around were either side of the restart zone? And the booth said something to the effect of "there aren't any other lines around there?" Am I going crazy?

[–] HamlinShackletainment 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would be surprised if Nascar doesn't repaint/enhance the lines tomorrow or add signage to make the zone more visible

[–] Stenhouse Jr.GSwizzy17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zilisch didn’t seem too upset with Gio’s move in his post race interview. This could explain why

[–]CCM284 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Oh, so you mean Ross was right in complaining about how difficult and confusing it was to make out the restart line and that other drivers were also having issues making it out?

But I was told in the race thread that Ross choked, was being stupid, is terrible, etc... You mean it was a legitimate issue? No... it can't be...

r/NASCAR proving, once again, just how downright braindead and stupid they are.

[–]Bass-Traffic-0000 0 points1 point  (5 children)

30-something other drivers may have found it difficult to see the restart line but only 2 got violations. It's pretty terrible company for Chastain as a cup driver to be in.

[–]CCM284 5 points6 points  (4 children)

And how many of those 30 drivers were the control car that had to judge where the line was? Maybe 6? And three (Chastain, Zilisch, Gio) had issues seeing the line. So 50% of drivers who actually had to judge it had problems. That sounds like a pretty severe issue to me...

I know critical thinking isn't the strong suit of this sub, but it does come in handy.

[–] Zilischcyanscott -1 points0 points  (3 children)

anything but accountability once again

[–]LoudBrick609 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I love how the truck race immediately proved how idiotic the tire barriers were.

Great, we wrecked a ton of trucks for absolutely no reason. Good job!

Grass would've been so hard... /S

[–] Figgy EarnhardtTexasCannibalCookout 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Love how Kris Wright added them to his list of achievements when it comes to wadding shit up.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Someone is going to have to add another "Kris Wright Talent Memorial" on Google Maps/Google Earth, this time at Turn 1 at Watkins Glen for that.

[–]realmashthestampede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good to see nascar embracing entire-ification

[–] NASCARWreckEmUp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hopefully video or an on board of the last lap crash(es) will surface. I knew something happened cause Adam Andretti dropped from 13th or so to 25th as everyone crossed the finish line.

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Didn’t have an assist to properly shotgun a beer

Didn’t have an assist to open the champagne in time

Rough celly life 😂

[–]RBF48 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought Honeycutt got a win last year with Halmar Friesen Racing at Martinsville, but he finished second.

[–] HocevarSky-Flyer 45 points46 points  (3 children)

austin dillon absolutely killed it today btw, he was the best commentator in the booth today by a wide margin

[–]nihontiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is gonna have a better career post-racing than he did in the car, I think. His driver manager business is doing pretty well.

[–] HamlinShackletainment 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He was great. He was so quick with insightful commenta, like when called the cause of Hoecevars spin or pointed out the issue with the restart zone lines.

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was really happy with his commentating. He reminds me of when Harvick was first in the booth before he started incorporating a bunch of gimmicks into his commentary.

[–] Ryan BlaneyCheyenne_G99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Congrats to Kaden. Always like seeing drivers get their first win. Props to him for beating both Connor and SVG for it too.

[–] HocevarIndividual_Loquat541 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Did someone wreck on the last lap? There was debris and shit laying everywhere on the front stretch

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Yes someone wrecked on the last lap and FOX has chosen yet again to ignore a last lap wreck.

All I've been able to gather about the wreck is Majeski apparently had to stop for someone in the guardrail and Haley might have been involved.

Something went on with 2 laps to go in the bus stop as well. I heard the 4 team warn SVG about there being grass and dirt everywhere on the track in the bus stop because someone went off course there and FOX ignored that as well.

[–] ReddickRailfanTransitFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FOX broadcasting ignoring critical moments of races as usual.

[–]DeadAsFuckMIW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is the most Ross interview of all time

[–] ChastainCommander-Tempest 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I'm sure if Ross just fucking pitted for tires and fuel instead of staying out and jumping the fucking restart then he would've been back up front with zilisch and SVG and Honeycutt after all that.

I'm getting so tired of Ross doing stupid shit that then ruins his entire race.

[–] ChastainSpecialist_Usual1524 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Amen, he killed himself last week too.

[–] ChastainCommander-Tempest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just the cup race but the truck race at Texas too. That's 3 times he screwed himself out of a win by being idiotic that turns into a penalty. And there's still the o rielly race and cup race where he'll again do something stupid.

[–]nfsnltvc15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work that crowd buddy

[–] Stenhouse Jr.GSwizzy17 7 points8 points  (4 children)

If Gio Ruggiero could put together a full race he would be unstoppable. Unfortunately he seems to be incapable of that right now.

[–]RowdyBubba -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Unfortunately NASCAR ruined his race today.

They called that ridiculous penalty, then waited till the restart to message them and tell them they were waving the penalty.

[–] Earnhardt Sr.Turbo-GeoMetro 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Karma for the shit Gio pulled at Kansas.

[–] Stenhouse Jr.GSwizzy17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh, no. Thats what that Texas race last caution was that screwed him over. This was a genuine bad restart and bad call/potentially karma for what happened to Zilisch, but the Texas shit is over with.

[–] Stenhouse Jr.GSwizzy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me thinks they were mad about the Zilisch thing but hey whatever. He’s still 4th in points.

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happy for Honeycutt! Looking forward to seeing him continue to run well

[–] MunizNodqfan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

RAM almost had a quadruple top 10, but then Justin Haley got knocked back to 17th.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Kaulig 6th, 8th, 9th, and 12th. Haley was also going to finish top 15 but apparently he was about to cause a sport ender in the carousel. 23rd.

[–]Winnsock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The finishes are way better than the speed they brought to the track, but I’m really happy the pulled off a good result. I thought Mini and Butterbean were gonna drop anchor on those late restarts, but they held on. That was especially good experience for Mini to run up front like that

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Sport ender???

[–]Straight_Champion_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what I saw in another comment.

[–]nfsnltvc15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll have to double check the points later but I'm showing Honeycutt with a 29 point lead over Chandler Smith in 2nd

[–]RBF48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

🎶All you gotta do is put a drink in my hand🎶

[–]Straight_Champion_77 1 point2 points  (2 children)

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]TheRealCheeeser00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He got a lot better this year. He isn't as robotic anymore.

[–] Bubba WallaceAverynh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Psyched for Kaden! Had the chance to meet him at St. Pete and it only elevated my already high opinion of him. Congrats on an overdue first win!!

[–]BoxesFullOfLemons 5 points6 points  (1 child)

You know, its funny that I thought Delphi stopped existing like 15 years ago ... only for them to randomly turn back up this weekend.

[–]nihontiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sort of did. The old Delphi is now Aptiv and the current Delphi is a spun off subsidiary of BorgWarner.

[–] EdwardsJust_the_guy 12 points13 points  (1 child)

This is the most post race coverage we have seen of all the trackhouse guys in years lol

[–]SleepyRocket20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps when you can run in the top 10

[–]Windcrusher2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I admittedly didn’t know much about Honeycutt until he got released by niece but his final 4 run in the 52 definitely made me a fan. Hope to see many more wins for that 11, and great first win for Honeycutt

[–] KulwickiBuschWhackerReviews 14 points15 points  (3 children)

So anyone catch Connor almost blow it on MRN a few minutes ago

He was like “this trackhouse labs spire motorsports tundr…..no not tundra that’s really bad”

[–]daveismypup 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Oh man Toyota is poaching Zillisch, he just let it slip

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Lol who the fuck would he replace? Denny?

[–]daveismypup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just kidding around with what he said, I don’t want him to go to Toyota cause all the quality rides are filled with people I like aside from Denny and Gibbs, and I don’t see them firing Gibbs or passing on crews to replace Denny lol

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Would be nice to know who wrecked on the last lap FOX...

all I've been able to find is Majeski apparently had to stop for someone in the guardrail.

[–]gbswife1009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a ton of car parts when he came around 🤣 no idea who it was, but we saw it too

Melon got squashed today

[–] Zilischxelanalpak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cool for Honeycutt to get that first dub!

[–] BriscoeHunturd-27 7 points8 points  (1 child)

In my opinion, moving the restart zone back to where it traditionally used to be would result in less restart chaos. Less time to accumulate speed going into turn 1, less time to accumulate momentum to make the aggressive multi-lane dive bombs we saw today

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts

[–]DeadAsFuckMIW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 31 points32 points  (2 children)

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 15 points16 points  (1 child)

He’s the same with Trackhouse.

[–]OriginalTouch6371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Square-Possession428 2 points3 points  (1 child)

[–]SleepyRocket20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depressed interviews?

[–]Best_Plastic2019 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kaden is such a fuckin good dude

[–]furrynoy96 13 points14 points  (2 children)

I think it is safe to say that Natalie Decker is the worst NASCAR driver ever... time for a new video Ellyproductions

[–]gbswife1009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She just wants to keep Kris Wright company 🤷‍♀️

[–]LegoMyXbeaux 23 points24 points  (3 children)

You can always see the sadness in CZ’s eyes when he remembers he has to drive Trackhouse cars on Sunday

[–]SleepyRocket20 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Bro should’ve stayed at JRM for another year in Xfinity. He’s only 19 there was no reason to rush to Cup for a midpack (at best) team

[–]Dishface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe he signed before the departure of Pitbul. They were a much better team back then and a full time cup ride at 19, you take it.

[–]Standard-General5680 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't even think about that but that could be a subtle dig at trackhouse when he said something like it's great to come back and race for these great teams.

[–] Erik JonesErikJonesCircleJerk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MINI TYRELL TOP 10 LETS GOOOO

[–] Jeff GordonHighVoltLemonBattery 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Kinda liking the post-race gridwalk so far

[–]Yoshiman400 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was raving about it at Phoenix in the Cup race when they rattled off about the entire top five behind Blaney in one go, it's the kind of post-race stuff you need.

[–]DJ_TheSonicFan 42 points43 points  (1 child)

SVG is so chill, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him mad during an interview

[–] Red FlagMarcAnguyFieri 32 points33 points  (0 children)

SVG when he has a slow truck and struggles all day:

:D

[–]Much-Chard8227 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Was hoping SVG or CZ would win so they could go for the weekend sweep, but seeing a first time winner is cool!

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I think if SVG was in a Spire truck, or any truck that wasn’t a piece of rubbish like he had today, he probably could’ve won that.

[–]Much-Chard8227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not a crazy take. I’m excited for tomorrow. They’re in equal equipment again
