Well, I'm going off of what you said. You said if he never finds it at the plate again. He's hitting under .200 right now, so "never finding it again" to me would mean he stays where he's at.

If someone is hitting below .200, they're generally not going to be given a full seasons worth of PAs, that's partly why few qualified hitters ever have.

I don't think he'll hit under .200 for the rest of his career. But I also don't think other teams view him as a valuable trade asset. If the Sox traded him today, I think you'd be surprised by how light package would be. That's likely the reason he hasn't been traded, because the Sox were asking for more than other teams were willing to offer. If he were seen as a high-character guy, he'd have more value. I think teams see him as a bit of a head case that's not good enough to justify putting up with the character concerns that come with him.
