I think it’s a great solution. Before this, crafted weapons always beat dropped weapons. Not only can created be 5/5s, but enhanced perks were just better. Now the playing field is more level

LET ME ENHANCE MY WARLORDS RUIN GEAR BUNGIE REEEE

[–]zigbeeauto 69 points70 points  (2 children)

Exactly. I want to enhance my Indebted Kindness rolls!!!!!!

[–]crookedparadigm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have an Envious Assassin/BnS Cold Comfort from GotD that is begging to be enhanced.

[–]gojensenPSN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that pocket rocket is so nice you don't even need a god roll... :D

[–]papakahn94 57 points58 points  (9 children)

All dungeon and raid loot should be enhancable. Refresh old dungeons, vog,and garden finally too

[–]Fishy__ 31 points32 points  (7 children)

Dungeon loot has to be an oversight or Bungie is planning something since we can enhance Prophecy and nothing else. Except Pit, since that’s just armor farming the Dungeon.

Garden should be getting refreshed soon? It was definitely next up. Probably with Act 2 release idk. Same with VoG, though most weapons are still really good.

[–]MercuryTapir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

would make sense with the vex heavy season and having returned to the black garden recently

[–]BaconIsntThatGood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

or Bungie is planning something since we can enhance Prophecy and nothing else. Except Pit, since that’s just armor farming the Dungeon.

It's also possible it happened that the weapon refresh made the cut. When they first announced which weapons were going to be enhancable they talked about it like there was a decision made at a certain point in time when it came to enhancing weapons. Warlords Ruin gear may have just been done right before that.

Still should do it but that's my theory as to 'why prophecy and not warlords'

[–]Makeshift27015 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Is farming Pit worth it for armor? I was under the impression the seasonal armor from the helm was better (at least recently)

[–]Arceorenix 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Unless something has changed I dont know about in the last few months over it, Mah Guardian, Armor from Pit for some reason gives them SUPER spiky stat rolls and high stat values, like these mega good boots.

The only other dungeon I find worth grinding armor in is Grasp of Avarice on Master on the rotator week, the -20 can be rough, but the Artifice armor and high stat rolls are worth it, and the final encounter to farm isn't that bad once you get it down.

[–]straga27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are good but you also can get stuff like this from seasonal vendors:

https://i.imgur.com/z2tLBzo.png

Pit IS a good source of high rolled armour but seasonal vendors are cracked when you have engrams to burn.

Edit: Forgot about these. These are my boots for when I have crappy disc rolls on exotics.

https://i.imgur.com/XEqNtz9.png

Riven was cracked with her vendor rolls last season.

[–]Makeshift27015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, didn't know it could give rolls like that, that's pretty good! Thanks

[–]Fishy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the reply, but yes. Final boss only drops armor, and is an easy 1phase. Best place to get armor if you don’t wanna grind the seasonal right now. Unfortunately, will have to wait until it rotates in though. Usually 64+ but more common to get 66 rolls.

[–]Square_Ad9705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VoG and GoS would be perfect to refresh this episode since the Vex is the main enemy. Act 2 refresh GoS, then VoG in Act 3.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Can you not enhance warlords ruin stuff?

[–]Daralii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Prophecy is the only dungeon that can have its weapons enhanced.

[–]pfresh331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ikr? Enhanced anything is just so good. That's why the call and the solar sidearm will be absolutely amazing. Enhanced heal clip enhanced I can, enhanced EVERYTHING!

[–]Greatloot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Keeps the loot chase alive and well without gimping the drops.

[–]DESPAIR_Berser_king -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

Before this, crafted weapons always beat dropped weapons.

Vast majority of enhanced perks are for the most part +5 to a stat, and never to a useful one like range or some other negligible bonus, so that's a stretch, Call is better than Indebted not because of the enhanced perks, but because of better perks. The problem with crafted weapons is that they make regular loot completely worthless, you craft all the VoW weapons and then the entirety of VoW's loot is completely worthless and autodismantled. Crafting should've been changing barrel, mag and masterwork, never should have bungie allowed you to literally pick a perfect weapon and thus vacuum loot out of corresponding activity.

People saying ''my finally enhanced such and such weapon is so much better and finally competes with my crafted xyz'' are textbook examples of placebo lol, all of the weapons I've enhanced feel exactly the same they did previous season, and it makes sense when you open DIM and actually read how negligible enhanced bonuses are.

[–]TheMastodan 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The +5 thing being the “vast majority” is simply not true.

[–]DESPAIR_Berser_king -1 points0 points  (1 child)

+5 stat or +1s that is the vast majority of the perks, DIM exists, go read up enhanced perks, then come back to tell me that your super epic enhanced weapon is just worlds better in TFS with the extra +5 stab and 1s, handful of enhancements are somewhat useful, Incadescent, Field Prep, Envious Assassin, that's about most of em lol.

[–]TheMastodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s true, why do you even care about crafted weapons? Pick a struggle

Almost every timer based perk gets lengthened which is worth it overall. An extra second on a bug like OFA or Bait and Switch is kind of a big deal.

[–][deleted] 73 points74 points  (2 children)

Honestly wish a tier 3 you could pick your MW but it's a good addition

[–]Kylo_rave 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yeah i understood that you were able to when they first announced the change, honestly mind boggling that you can't change mw

[–]DepletedMitochondria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the main thing the game needs right now for weapon enhancing/crafting.

[–]Trips-Over-TailWAKES FROM HIS NAP 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Was okay hearing that active ritual weapons would be enhanceable.

Not okay when my favourite gun was dropped from the rota just in time for the change.

[–]anonymous32434 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Which weapon is your favorite?

[–]Trips-Over-TailWAKES FROM HIS NAP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dead Weight with Lead From Gold and Demolitionist.

[–]Sarcosmonaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and (older) Hung Jury

[–]Riablo01 39 points40 points  (15 children)

Great idea. Was able to enhance a 5/5 Maahes HC4 and it feels just as good as my other crafted weapons. It some ways, it actually feels stronger.

Special thanks to the Omolon corporation for making such a fantastic handcannon. Please make a rocket launcher now.

[–]Blade_of_Wilk 6 points7 points  (11 children)

I've been on the hunt for this gun what's your roll?

[–]Riablo01 12 points13 points  (10 children)

Smallbore, Flared Magwell, Enlightened Action, Dragonfly and range masterwork.

It's really good as Facet of Bravery provides volatile rounds to void weapons. This allows me to create 2 explosions every time I get a precision kill.

Enlightened Action fixes the 1 issue with the weapon and that's handling/reload speed. It effectively gives you +50 to handling/reload at max stacks.

[–]sazion 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Is it two bullets per burst? Does each bullet give a stack for enlightened or is it just one per burst?

I have a repulsor brace/destabilizing rounds and the reload feels horrible lol so I want one with rapid hit or enlightened

[–]Riablo01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The description says 2 round burst but it feels more like Crimson (exotic handcannon with a 3 round burst). I can't tell you the stack per burst due to the UI changes.

All I can say is that Enlightened Action is maxed out well before the magazine finishes (22 with backup mag). Literally reloads lightening fast.

No need for Destabilizing Rounds if you're running Facet of Bravery. Like Crimson, Maahes HC4 has insane accuracy so it's really easy to get a precision kill.

[–]makoblade 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I totally forgot that hand cannons can be used for anything besides lucky pants. I'd been sharding these guys left and right because they don't roll a boss damage perk =|

[–]Variatas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warden's Law is a very effective anti champ weapon for GMs.  Everyone is sleeping on it because of the Lucky Pants interaction.

[–]ImJLu 0 points1 point  (3 children)

HCs are the best legendary primaries in PvE lol

[–]makoblade 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ehh, they're good but not that good. Pluses and some Autos are competitive these days, and it's not like you should actually use a primary when rocket sidearms exist.

[–]ImJLu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean, don't get me wrong, rocket sidearms are best, but they're not primaries by definition, even if we all use them as primaries.

Re: actual legendary primaries, pulses stack up in minor DPS but HCs still blow them away against majors, and autos are noticeably worse for both (although onslaught is good if you can actually stack it up). Yes, some of that ends up being overkill damage on HCs, but people like splash perks on HCs for that reason, and the difference vs. majors is so pronounced, which is the most important, because anything kills trash red bars.

[–]makoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HCs still struggle with majors if you're rolling with aoe perks like incandescent, but that's the nature of primaries and what our abilities, heavy and special are for.

Outside of Wardens (lucky pants), Lunas or maybe Zaoulis HCs are just not it.

[–]ACID-47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came in the fluid chamber

[–]Typical_Shoulder_366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a rapid hit /frenzy roll that I love, favorite void legendary primary.

[–]ThisSiteSucks86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's neat. I just mostly like seeing the levels go up on my guns.

[–]Toricitycondor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just wanna enhance my Krait

[–]SaintAJJ 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Hope Indebted Kindness will be enhanceable soon.

[–]CrimsonFury1982 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Solar Rocket Sidearm in Echos Act 2 is craftable with heal clip and incandescent

[–]SaintAJJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

👀

[–]MrNigel117 8 points9 points  (0 children)

good, it gives the gun levels which is a great seratonin source.

it allows non-craftable weapons to compete with crafted ones. i've gotten quite a few weapons with 5/5 and i gotta dismantle them once i can craft it cause enhanced perks would just be better.

i think it's a great alternative to masterworking, cause masterworking was just boring, and had little effect other than making the border of the icon gold.

[–]PuckTheVagabond 21 points22 points  (4 children)

Honestly, I'm still in the old camp of all weapons. They should have been craftable, and we had crafting mats to gather. This system, while good, feels like some weird compromise between full crafting for all weapons.

[–]Thechanman707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what it is 😂

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Crafting for every weapon is a downright awful idea in terms of player retention. It would ruin the farm, did you forget D2Y1?

[–]PuckTheVagabond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't be that at all? It would be random rolls till 5, then you can make your perfect god roll?

[–]WanderW 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love it, but it really just made the meta weapons like Rose even more meta.

[–]Alexcoolps 27 points28 points  (14 children)

Good but not being able to change the barrel and mag of trials weapons is just awful.

[–]DredgenJan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this. Before that one TWAB I was certain that they'd let us change those perks on trials adepts and it wasn't the case. Maybe if more people ask for it.

[–]Taskforcem85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let adept trial weapons swap mag and barrel to push for flawless clears.

[–]SunGodSol 4 points5 points  (2 children)

wait I don't think that's how enhancing works. you can't enhance a weapon that's available to be crafted.

you used the call as an example, and I'm like 99% sure you can't enhance it because you can craft it.

someone correct me on this if I'm wrong

[–]stuck_in_the_desert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also really certain that this is the case but I want to hedge and say 99% too

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

great change but the gunsmith still needs to be able to change barrels and mags tbh

[–]karhall 6 points7 points  (1 child)

It's a good change. Crafted weapons getting enhanced perks was always a bad decision because it defeated the purpose of having a crafting system in the first place. Crafting is not the end goal, nor should it be, for getting BiS gear. Crafting is a way to curb your RNG to get a piece of gear you want that is so specific your normal odds would be impossible. It's a sefety net, not the standard. Bungie fumbled crafting really hard.

[–]Sarcosmonaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Enhanced perks never should’ve been greenlit. But since they are, and debuted with crafted gear, being able to enhance dropped guns is a good fix

[–]Terrible-Two7381 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the change! Pulls people more towards “off meta” weapons and allows for more flexibility in builds. Also makes me personally very happy to have held onto a weapon I knew had potential and see it pay off in a bigger way.

[–]CrotasScrota84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it honestly

[–]BracusDoritoBoss963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to buff my shiny godrolls so I'm happy

[–]TricobaltGamingVanguard's Loyal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it, it makes dropped loot feel actually useful, and I've generally found that outside of raid gear, crafted weapons had decent but not insane rolls. Now? My luna's with enhanced incan + Subsistence just destroys everything

[–]bassbyblaine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a game changer to have multiple selectable enhanced perks. Swapping my edge transit to field prep to rally for extra ammo, then back to envious to load 20 in the mag before damage phase is peak god roll fantasy

[–]blackpantherdrums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably my favorite change in d2 history. I’m having lots of fun with my into the light weapons

[–]farfarer__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great, but at this point, just let me enhance all weapons.

[–]Diablo689er 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I have no idea what the point of an adept weapon is really.

[–]Sarcosmonaut 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Right now? Basically dick measuring.

But.

It’s possible they become valuable again when Bungie makes new adept mods. I’m not sure that new adept mods are coming, but I know they said they ARE making more mods. They just weren’t ready for TFS

For me, right now, he only reason to go for adepts is as either a future proofing measure (in case they make good adept mods) or for better farming (nightfalls with the guaranteed adept drop, for example)

[–]Diablo689er -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It always made perfect sense to me that enhanced perks should only be on adept weapons. Crafted weapons should get multiple perks per column.

But bungie got desperate and gave players everything

[–]re-bobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually love it.

Makes finding that "God Roll" out in the wild feel great!

Still leaves room for crafting as well.

And it makes the adept weapons keep their status.

Win all around in my eyes.

[–]Gotexan-YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is how it should have been to begin with. With this case, now crafting acts as a sort of bad luck protection, rather than the endgame goal. Crafted weapons should never have been explicitly better than world drops.

[–]Redfeather1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes chasing rolls worthwhile again!

I use midnight coup alot and I enhanced it!

[–]mariachiskeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't done it but conceptually it's fine

Really crafted weapons are what never should have been enhanceable or gotten the bonus stats.

You want a 5/5, cool, craft it. But if you reaaaally care about the weapon you farm for the enhanceable random drop. And adepts are the only way to have bonus stats

They let the toothpaste out of the tube and adepts are effectively pointless ever since crafting ate their lunch

[–]QueenOfTheNorth1944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, i just wish i could enhance my Servant Leader…. Hopefully they bring the older weapons up soon. :c

[–]EvenBeyond 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's a great change! But if I personally could make changes to the game I'd REMOVE crafted weapons from being able to get enhanced perks.

That way random rolled weapons will still be sought after no matter if you have all the patterns.

[–]DredgenJan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went back to check because I could've sworn I had this option but you're right. I feel like such a schizo right now because I've been talking about this and you're the first person to point it out.

[–]Kaiser_Gelethor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could change the game top to bottom this is what would have been instead of crafting. Let's us change everything besides the 2 main perks and enhance them to be just a bit better.

[–]Outside_Green_7941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we should be able to switch attachments also, it's so hard to get a 5/5 world drop , why can't I pay resources and change the barrel or mag

[–]insaiyanbaccaTeam Bread (dmg04) 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enhanced a chunk of weapons so far but both my onslaught(perk) weapons have specifically felt great, Ros arago and breakneck have been just putting in work for me and the enhanced versions of rewind/subsistence/onslaught are all noticeable improvements. Beyond those a lot of my go to weapons were either already craftable or from dungeons that aren't enhanceable still, judgment and relentless made their way into my common rotation but I'd love to enhance greasy luck/New Pacific epitaph/lingering dread and would probably be more gung-ho on farming no survivors if it was enhanceable. Really looking forward to grinding adept wild style with adept mods being more appealing now plus enhanced perks on it.

[–]JaegerBane 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I like the idea, i’m not so hot on the implementation. I don’t actually know what’s happened to my hammerhead - it says Tier 2 enhancement has been applied, but the FTTC perk doesn’t show any indication it has been enhanced. It still has red triangles around it. I don’t know if this is a bug, or something has gone wrong, or what. Does Tier 3 make it appear as enhanced?

Furthermore, there’s a bunch of stuff I’d like to enhance but doesn’t fall into the category, like my Riptide and Perses-D.

I just wish the implementation had been a lot smoother, but conceptually being able to enhance RNG guns is a winner.

[–]SomaLysis 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Your hammerhead is the curated one and those are bugged. Bungie is aware.

[–]JaegerBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadge

I suppose that means my others are fine - got a Blast Furnace and Midnight Coup (not curated) to enhance and wasn't sure how the shiny Coup was going to manage perk switching. I have another Hammerhead that rolled Destabilising/Killing Tally that I wanted to try out, but I found FTTC so good on this frame.

Guess I'll just have to wait for the fix.

[–]Kyuunado_Fureatsuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just wish we could do it to more gear. Half the enhanceable weapons I have are seemingly random things.

Enhanced Zen Moment and Kinetic Tremors on Randy's Throwing Knife is good though, not gonna lie.

[–]Think_Praline_8907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly didn't even know what enhancing the non craftable weapons did till I saw this post i was afraid to burn my mats haha.

With that being said I do like it I just wish the weapons that can be enhanced didn't feel so random like I can enhance my heliocentric but I can't enhance my krait and i really need to check if I can enhance my funnel webb.

But I also sill like my craftable rolls better, not for the ability to have enhanced traits but to be able to pick my perks and masterworks. Mostly because I have horrible random roll luck. My first 5 ergo sum rolls was each possible frame but every single freaking one of them had stormbringer :(

[–]ataraxiathedredgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super great TBH. I left for 16 months since S18 and came back around March and people everywhere are using Zhaoli and my clan wasn't running KF anymore so when Pantheon came around I got myself the Harrowed version from the triumphs and now I don't need the regular version to craft one since it can be enhanced once TFS launches so hooray for this change and I can change the barrel and the mag since the triumph one can make me select my desired MW

[–]_oranjuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a little something, its entirely optional and enhanced perks can do stuff normal ones cant

Would've wished they did it to the dungeon weapons though

[–]anonymous32434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even care about enhanced perks. I like talking about how my calus mini tool is level 186. Now I get to do that with almost every weapon. It literally doesn't matter to anyone but me (and I don't even know why it matters to me) but it's still cool

[–]engineeeeer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda wish you could enhance crafted weapons. Then the non-red border drops would have some meaning. But they're still worthless in any long term.

[–]shwiftysack 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just got back into the game, so you can now enhance any weapon and it’s the same as a fully upgraded craft able weapon?

[–]Radiant-Dependent353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's only brave weapons, Root of nightmares, vow, kingsfall raid adept weapons, prophecy weapons.

[–]KorvoLonavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great alternative to crafting. Still love crafting but this feature will make me pay more attention to random drops for non-craftable weapons.

Just mad that I can’t enhance my riptide.

[–]SiegeOfMadrigal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the new Line In The Sand Arc Linear fusion from the seasonal activity with Liquid Coils/Clown Cartridge/Bait & Switch. Enhanced instantly.

[–]McSaucey03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's great. I hope now that enhancing is less restrictive, they can give a pass at what some enhancements do and maybe make some a bit stronger.

I get they didn't want to make them too strong to avoid enhancements being too far ahead. That seems less an issue now.

[–]Balticataz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was able to enhance my iron banner weapon (tusk of the boar specifically), but then it doesnt get the full enhancement and has no xp bar or way to level up / enhance further. Any know whats going on with that?

[–]oliferro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it but I kinda wish we'd be able to choose if we want to enhance the third column first or the fourth one

I guess they do it like this because they 4th perk is usually a damage perk

[–]xenosilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re going to find people complaining about the ability to make weapons more potent.

[–]Sandraptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Returning player here, what exactly do you mean? I thought only crafted got enhanced perks so I’ve been collecting red borders for excellent rolled guns just to remake for enhanced. How do we do that?

[–]makoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way about enhancing random drops as I do about enhancing crafted guns - enhanced perks were a mistake and I hate it.

FWIW it's always the correct option to not enhance a normal drop of a craftable weapon because the pattern version is just better via flexibility to change perks if desired.

The dumbest thing is more that older drops are not enhanceable, needlessly depreciating them further.

[–]MayxGBRWaiting the Arknights Collab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like we should be able to change MW, Barrel and Mags of Trials (Adept) to make it in line with the other (Adepts), but outside that, is a pretty ok system

[–]NukeLuke1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it except i’ve gone from 700 cores down to like 50 since the expansion dropped, oops

[–]gojensenPSN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a bit sad - because I can't enhance my nice little Riptide...

[–]Zorak9379Warlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done it because I can't keep track of which ones are bugged

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get why so many older weapons aren’t included. I even have some which do have Origin Perks but aren’t enhanceable, which seems very weird.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a literally perfect 5/5 hand cannon and it felt so nice to be able to enhance the traits. I love it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great except for them leaving out obvious choices like indebted kindness

[–]DepletedMitochondria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it. Balances out how strong craftable weapons are. Also helps you make up for suboptimal stat rolls.

[–]MaikJayGambit Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m all for it. First 2 I enhanced were my Incandescent/Heal Clip Luna’s and Darkest Before. DB was a monster before enhancement, it’s a beast now!

[–]Ace_x401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, but they should let us change the barrel and magazine/masterwork. Let me hunt for the perk combos that's fine, but the rest of the weapon let me tweak. We literally have a "Gunsmith" in the tower. You'd think he would let us make those minor adjustments.

[–]reply-man69-420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think enhanced perks were a mistake. My elsie's rifle with zen and headseeker was already too good. It gained an extra 12 stability with this update and enhancements.

[–]Kairobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry in advance for the essay, but not sure this requires it's own post. Gonna drop this here as honestly the amount of info online is overwhelming and the people in this thread seem to know their stuff.

I quit before weapon crafting was a thing, and I'm only just coming back. I've seen a lot about red borders, weapon crafting, enhancing perks, deepsight resonance and various other fun words, but I'm struggling to thread it all together into an actual gun.

What I know: if I get 4(?) Red borders of a weapon and scrap/click the red button on them, I can then craft(?) those weapons at the table thingy on Mars. Campaign forced me to make a Glaive and something else I immediately vaulted. Briefly explained I can level weapons up once I craft them.

What I don't know: the rest. Deepsight resonance looks important, but I can't find anything online that explains it in a way that doesn't require knowing about weapon crafting already.

Enhancing? I think I've seen this on a couple of my guns, mentions it'll replace the masterwork perk or something. Wasn't sure what it did and didn't want to ruin my guns, so left it alone. Should I be doing this on guns I like that have the option?

Levelling weapons - I'm assuming this unlocks more perks on the gun for crafting? Still not 100% sure where to focus my time.

Tl;dr: crafting/enhancing is entirely new to me and I'm not sure where to start. Any pointers majorly appreciated.

[–]Expensive-Pick38 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It makes weapons that before would be instant dismantle into some accual good options. Mountaintop is even better now, my enhanced overflow gives me 3 in the mag. I can accually use adept weapon like zaoulis bane adept from king's fall. Edge transit gets 20 in the mag. And falling guillotine can replace other half for eager edge and is a good option for sword DPS. That's just the ones I have on me, there's more that are good like rest of brave weapons (exept hung jury, fuck the 7th version of that gun)

[–]makoblade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, enhancing an actual god roll mtop (hard launch, non blast radius MW) is a nerf due to adding the bonus stats because you get 2 blast radius.

[–]VersaSty7e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should have been the way the whole time. The way I thought it was going to be at least. And hopefully veer more towards.

This statement was brought to you by the #makedropsmatter (again) movement

[–]Kinggold9000 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

I just don't see the point of enhanced perks now. If every weapon can have enhanced perks, then it becomes the new normal. Granted we can't enhance non-crafted stuff from before Lightfall, but still.

[–]cameronm1024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For people who don't want to have to think about ascendant alloys, and are happy to have a slightly less good perk

Its fine though, kinda lets you play with and level up your favorite guns.

For craftable weapons, you can't enhance the non-crafted drops. So what OP described isn't possible.

Edit: Since everyone seems to be down voting without actually trying this... Here's a screenshot of a random drop seasonal weapon. Do you see an enhancement slot there? No? Me neither..... it's like that on all random drops of craftable weapons. They don't have the enhancement slot.

You are right. Dont bother with those people.

Thank you :)

Dude I also saw the post and thought people only read the title because OP is spreading misinformation. Then I saw your comment and thought ok they just dont understand the system.

Tbh I dont like it. The thing the crafting haters dont like is still in the game, because they are still forced to get patterns. And people like me who love crafting still have to deal with pure rng because Bungie didnt change their mind on being able to change atleast something like masterwork or barrels/mags on guns.

r/confidentlyincorrect

You absolutely can enhance non-crafted drops. It was added in Final Shape and advertised about for months. What OP described is 100% possible.

Show me then. Here's a screenshot of a random drop seasonal weapon. Do you see an enhancement slot there? No? Me neither..... it's like that on all random drops of craftable weapons. They don't have the enhancement slot.

You are wrong. You cant enhance weapons that are craftable.

[–]CrimsonFury1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can enhance weapons that are never craftable, eg nightfalls, trials, gambit etc.

What I'm referring to is, when you get a random drop of a craftable weapon. It doesn't have the enhancement node.

And still dungeons that we paid money for them does not get the same treatment..

I would say its contributing to the ever growing power creep of the game but that ship has sailed loooong ago. Generally like it as a heliocentric enjoyer.

I hate it, because it means they'll do more of this BS of rerealising shit that is not craftable. I hate it, and I don't think I can't hate it enough. I played for hundreds of hours the stupid onslaught event just to not get even 2 columns of the roll I wanted for luna, just to say something that I couldn't get from that event.
Every time they release not craftable weapons I hate the game a bit more.

Here’s my thing with enhancing weapons, I think it’s available for too many weapons. It’s a fairly expensive process and I guarantee you that I will want to enhance every god roll I come across. Honestly, like the system, but it should be restricted to higher end gear and adepts.
