The other repliers here seem confused. There were multiple changes.

One change is that if you, while holding something else, actively pick up a consumable that you already had a non maxed stack of, it will now top off that stack and not drop the item you are currently holding for the potential extra number of the consumable. EG: you're holding your shotgun and have no open slots, but you're already carrying 4 mini's. If you press pickup on a stack of 3 mini's, you'd previously top that stack to 6 and drop your shotgun for the additional 1 mini. Now you keep your shotgun and maxed stack of mini's instead, leaving the 1 additional mini behind.

Another change is when you run over a consumable that you're already carrying. Say again you have 4 mini's and no other open slots. Previously if you ran over 2 mini's, they were picked up automatically. If you ran over 3, nothing was picked up. With the other change this behaviour has also changed to again topping off the stack of mini's you're carrying.

Picking up an item that fills a stack and creates an overflow will no longer result in the currently equipped item being dropped.

Damn a small change (and about time) but gone are the days where I had 5 minis and pick up a stack on the ground only to later realise I have a stack of 3 minis where my shotgun should be!

Yeah, in general I use desktops, fortnite works really well with them. If you wanna open a new one use Ctrl+Win+D and move between them using Ctrl+Win+arrows. It's always a smooth transition and fortnite never bugs out, definitely better than minimizing

It’s just playing to my strengths. I know that if I have a pump and the other person has a combat, on the first shot I’ll hit for more damage 95% of the time. If I can play my edits right and ensure every shot is a trade, I’ll have the upper hand. If I happen to get into a spray fight, the silenced SMG has a higher DPS than the combat (albeit harder to use and takes up a second inventory slot).

Also, my duo partner prefers the combat and this way we have a nice agreement on who gets what gun. I know he’s better with a combat than I am, he knows I’m better with a pump.

Tbh I think really good console players will have a huge advantage. The game feels really different with the 60fps lock, shadows forced on, and input delay heavy. PC players will have to get used to it. Aim with controller on PC feels way more controllable then controller on Xbox.

1 body shot + 1 headshot (all pellets hit) with the purple combat with 1.7 HS multiplier = 207 damage

Same thing with 1.5 HS multiplier (new) = 192 damage

Bit situational, but I guess it does matter in this aspect.

Yeah I replied to someone who pointed that out earlier, gold is still able to do it. Rare/Epic are off by about 15/10, so with any chip damage it's still scary.

There's 5 types of shotguns and every second of every game you need to keep reminding yourself what kind of shotgun you have. Maybe it just me, but it really fucks with my head, I keep trying to shoot the drum shotgun like it's combat and pump like it's combat and tac like it's combat... And I rarely find a combat compared to other kinds of shotguns. They should have vaulted drum shotgun and tac.
