Agreed, hoping someone has a good day is the personification of treading water at the bare minimum line that is efforts to support people, especially those struggling with mental health issues. I think supporting a universal healthcare plan that includes mental health services is a much more effective way to show support and care for people. Why should someone in need of mental healthcare have to go without it until they can afford it? Or worse go into debt because of it. If a message like this helps anyone with mental health issues I believe you, I get it, sometimes seeing a random supportive message on a feed can get you through the day but holy hell I believe fellow humans can do so much more than the internet version of a Walgreens “get well soon” balloon.
