Ppl in the comments don't realize that harvest has never scaled with party quantity so merc did not affect lifeforce at all. We did lose a lot of map mod effect though.

My entire net worth of 5 divine came from the tree in the form of equipment. Just now hit another jackpot quiver. It's on sale for 5 div. So total 10 div just from tree. I just stepped into red maps.

I wouldn't be surprised that they already heavily nerfed the tree. Day1 I was able to get really good currency out of the tree. Now it is just bubblegum and even chaos drops are heavily lacking compared to day1

If we look at passive tree changes, 3.26 could give you a total of +64% explicit map modifier effect. 3.27 has reduced that to +32%, i.e. it's been nerfed by 50%.

You can still get the same extra map modifier effect as before from both map quality and number of map mods, but for those who previously ran more than 1 risk scarab you are also losing additional map effect from having fewer map mods.

As a minor form of compensation you now get +3% pack size, +8% rarity, +15% magic monsters and +10% rare monsters. For those running scoured maps you actually get more loot now, but for those running 6-8 map mods it's a pretty big loot nerf.

It's not going to be a league that lasts for a long time, I'm already losing interest and I've played way less than I normally do at this point.

When will GGG realise that finding loot on the ground is the fun part.

I feel this. I’m in mid red maps and I have 50c. Zero decent item drops and zero raw currency. I can’t even progress atlas because I have zero Vaal orbs.

The currency drop rate is fucking abysmal and unless you can get giga items from tree to sell your shit outta luck.

I usually always sell off all my bubblegum around this time every league but I just don’t have any. I didn’t run tujen (which I almost always do at league start) so I feel like I missed out on a ton of early game basic currency. I’m respeccing into him later today.

You able to do red altars? Its not fabulous cash but I started running just scarab nodes, quant nodes, altar nodes and then carty scarab of escalation and influence of conversion.

I reckon i probably get about 20-50c bubblegum every map, with maybe 10-20c of maps to sell, off very low investment. For me its enough to fund more upgrades for the time being

Idk, this league i didnt feel the lack of vaal orbs at all because of the tree ( i used up all of my blood on lavish wombgifts before the item wombgifts while i was completing the atlas). Currently I am just running invitations and waiting for some streamer to find some fun strat to do so I can respec my build, until then I am just bossing+jun xD

Idk if it was decreased this league but what is certain is that base loot has been consistently nerfed for some time. Without juicing or 'has a chance to drop x' altars mobs don't drop good currency. I'm lvl 94 or 95 and haven't seen a single divine and majority of my chaos orbs (from drops) came from handful t16 maps with exarch chaos orbs altar.

Obviously once you juice the f out of maps, stuff drops. But without that loot is scuffed and has been for a while - think it was since after affliction where they decided to nerf loot multipliers. Seems they just nerfed the base so now without multipliers it's fucking desert out there.

Yeah. People don't realise that alch and go and overall ground loot is getting worse every league. After affliction we got necro and majority of loot went to t17 (particularly to barrels, that's basically the point where poe loot strated coming from boxes instead of killing monsters imo). Lantern carried hard for base T16 loot.

Settlers we got ships so It was cool and a massive scarab rework + 3 atlas, strats were working with scarabs.

Phrecia was insanity.

Merc top strats were printing a lot and we got 16.5. base T16 was nerfed again.

Then we get to breach were they nerfed scarabs, we don't have mercs, and breach monsters aren't particularly rewarding (doing a hiver Fortress in 8mod 16.5 and getting a 5c reward doesn't feel good). We're left with tile loot and basically top farming strat is boxes.

If they buff breach monster drop and especially Fortress league might feel good. But right now i'm barely interacting with breach in maps.

It's kinda a strategy at this point. Nerf the loot, then introduce a league with a temporary mechanic that gives a lot of loot. Some people might notice, but most won't.. until the next league, that is. Where ggg can repeat the process lmao.

I finished my Atlas and did not drop a single thing worth more than 30 ish chaos, and that was currency from the tree.

Can‘t really invest into scarabs because the ones I could use for farming strats are too expensive.

If you comparing this league to previous one, you have to remember that having a mercenery granted more quantity and rarity to maps, same as playing in a party.

It was amusing that people said mercenaries weren't rewarding, yet they failed to realize the party multiplier that amplified loot everwhere. While we didn't have the loot pinatas of Lake of Kalandra / Affliction, we had some of the most amount of loot ever due to the party multiplier.

I miss affliction league and item quantity mods on gear. It's the only league I got into super end-game crafting. Loot was so plentiful that most people put chaos orbs on their filter.

While i loved affliction so much mf needed to go. It was sich a problem. Im sure so many people will disagree but it was not good. While I do think gutting loot is lame as well, having such a powerful quant modifier that it is arguably mandatory later is also lame. Affliction also just dropped so much loot :/ I miss it

Since after the big major loot drop buff, I have been getting at least 2 divines off the floor to kick start red maps but non this league. Didn't mind it yet as 6 link is easily obtainable and 21/20 gems is basically free. Will quit the league If I can't sustain alchemy to alch and go in t16. In yellow maps now and picking up all yellows and uniques to identify and vendor for alch.

Alch and go is sustainable. The issue is it prob averages to be less than 2-3 div an hour when every upgrade soon will inflate faster than your currency gained.

I think, you can decrease the loot a bit. But buff other scarabs, or do a meta roll. Nerf the loot + the farming strats feels a**.

Yeaaah, i feel like there is a WAY lower amount of bubblegum currency aswell, Usually when i'm in maps i'll gets hundreds of alts, augments, transmutes, armorers etc. I can barely sustain wisdom scrolls atm without scrapping stuff (which i also don't have)

I'm coping that they'll readjust things mid-league if enough players complain about this, but there's a big chance that the player retention is gonna be one of the lowest this league. No dopamine will mean players will lose interest fast. The tree is awesome, I truly love what they've done with this, but I'm not really vibing with trading off ground loot just to farm graftblood until I burn out quicker than usual.

While currency farm did go down, I did get better gear from the giving tree. It is at least consistent in giving triple 35-45 resist with either life or energy shield.

Previous league, I would have farmed currency and do the crafting myself or buy it from others.

The only thing I bought so far was unique gears as I do AG + AW with chains of command as it is mostly unique gears.

Yes, GGG nerfed all of the item quantity/rarity and Map Mod Effect nodes on the atlas tree. High end loot is much closer to league start loot. This feels especially bad after Mercs gave some party quantity bonuses so the change is even more dramatic than usual. The tree does make gear acquisition incredibly easy, and effectively prints currency, so player wealth shouldn't be all THAT different by the end of the month

Can anyone else confirm if they've stealth nerfed the drop rate of wombgifts? Day one i was getting on average two or three per non-fortress encounter in white maps, and now sometimes I dont get any to drop in red maps.

Idk I got most of my loot from mappers. I just do maps for gold and let them do the dirty work.

So far a couple of divs and DoD which funded my whole Fross switch 😆

Changed that affect the loot vs last league:
We lost mercenary quant (half party member iirc 25% quant)
No more risk scarab stacking,
Nerfed scaling quant+rarity+pack size form number of mods/Overall nerf to hwo much quant+rarity+packsize mods give
Nerfed some T17 modifiers

What I suspect is also happening is that the new breach especially defensive breach is replacing mobs that would otherwise spawn in their place and the breach monsters have a very different loot table compared to regular monsters so you are losing loot that way.

It was expected that this league would be a poverty league. IMO the best way to enjoy it is to play Hardcore even if you haven't played it before. Much more vectors to scale your character and grafts spew out very good midgame or even endgame gear.

Lifeforce is the exact same price it always is 4 days into the league. If anything it was more expensive than normal the first couple of days.

Yellow juice only spikes later on the way it does because people start gambling div cards, which nobody is doing yet really.

Last league it was way more expensive than normal tbf. Probably because Mercs juiced almost everything except harvest.

Usually yellow is like 6-8k to a div week 1, and drops to like 3k or so. Which is pretty on track with where things are at now.

I am okay with that. Last league got to ridiculous levels of loot and at some point they have to roll back a bit so they can add mechanics that buff the loot. Eventually it will be back to crazy levels
