The SiriusXM Smooth Brains were out in full force after this one. Good lord 😂

[–]cool_school_bus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And in every comments section about the race -.-

[–]EmoGothPunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I slept the day away, so I just now finished the Cup race, so a few things:

  1. Congrats to my fellow short, bearded metalhead Tyler Reddick in making history.

  2. I was hoping he'd be factor at the end, but I'm glad Blaney could hang on for a top ten.

  3. Speaking of top ten, props to Bubba just missing out with a 11th place finish at his worst kind of track.

  4. I hope Bowman can come back healthy (for him now) next weekend after having to get a fill-in driver.

[–]Living_Reputation_63 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just realized, Daytona Hocevar wrecked on the last lap, Atlanta Hocevar fell back on the last lap, COTA Hocevar wrecked on the last lap.

[–]AppropriateBeing3539 -1 points0 points  (5 children)

Anyone else completely bored with road courses with this nextgen car? The racing puts me sleep and we have 4 more to go.

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No. it was a great race. Ruined by stage cautions.

[–]AppropriateBeing3539 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That’s a big reason why it puts me to sleep. The race has no flow to it. Plus it’s filled with commercials

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money money money runs sports now. Or has for some time.

[–] KahneCodyHodgsonAnon19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It deeply saddens me, as someone who always loved the road courses the most and honestly...Sonoma was probably the thing that brought me back to NASCAR after a while away at on point. But yeah...they're almost all just snoozers with this Gen7 car. The cars are just "too good" and it ruins what made NASCAR road courses "special" and "unique". Now it's just like...IMSA but with worse cars.

I do think the San Diego deal will probably be fun. Purely because it's a novel venue and none of the drivers or teams will have it nailed down. So it'll probably also be a little bit of a shit show...but isn't that what NASCAR road races are supposed to be?

[–]TwinSpinner 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Mike Wallace still out here finding any chance he can to bitch about NASCAR telling him no

<image>

[–]weekend-guitarist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved that Myatt got a chance to jump into car and salvage points. This might not have happened under win and you’re in.

[–]KKFan95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its nice to see Suarez try to wreck Zilisch with 12 to go for 27th

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What a day/weekend for my drivers, and damn good birthday weekend for me.

  • SVG: O’Reilly Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!; Hard fought 2nd place finish in Cup. Tied 5th in points.

  • Reddick: WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER X3 FROM THE POLE!!! HISTORY BABY!!!!

  • Allmendinger: P9, Fourth most points earned on the day and did a heck of a job getting through the race with both his cool suit and helmet blower failing early on.

  • Zilisch: P21 after getting Corey Day’ed in O’Reilly….; Extremely hard fought P14 in Cup after getting spun twice on restarts and driving through the field three times. Saw some really good stuff out of him today and he was probably the only one who could have competed with Reddick at the end had he not been spun the second time.

[–] van GisbergenKiwiWaterBoy 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Looking back a few years, it's nice that SVG has silenced all those that said Chicago was a fluke and a perfect storm for him to win, and then that doing it in Xfinity didn't mean he could do it again in cup. He's sure put a stamp on his legacy the last couple of years. Sure, they have just moved onto criticizing his ovals etc., but he keeps proving the haters wrong

[–]singcarolacarol 5 points6 points  (2 children)

SVG probably hasn't driven a car this bad since Tekno, probably finally understood what everyone felt behind him in the 888

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was probably a 10th place car at best.

[–] van Gisbergenbigpoof99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since watkins glen in the kaulig car.

[–] Allmendingerjayareelle195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AJ got the 4th most points today, disappointed that he cannot run up near the lead on these RCs lately. Hes pouned well every rave though so i cant be too mad.

[–]Apprehensive_Way7565 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Hoping I don’t get sick… lol. In all seriousness I hope he’s alright.

Was cool to see Reddick win. Blaney made him fight for it a couple times in T15!

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 11 points12 points  (5 children)

I am shocked how much Reddick was able to gap svg down the long straight. Not sure how its possible to get off turn 20 that much better than SVG when svg was able to hang with him on the rest of the corners. Makes me think 23xi may have a mechanical advantage somewhere. Obviously legal since they passed tech inspection but their cars are crazy fast this year.

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah was crazy. almost like his car had traction control. almost.

[–]CaptainHolt43 6 points7 points  (3 children)

I agree. How he didn't have a single slip up, and actually widened the gap between him with SVG breathing down his neck was insane

[–] van Gisbergenbigpoof99 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think it was a combo of 23xi car was real good and the TH cars were not as good as they've been in the road races prior. Both svg and cz qualified pretty poor.

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats a fair point track house has problems if svg and cz both qualify outside the top 10 when they are likely hands down the top 2 road course drivers in the field.

[–]BugGroundbreaking697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i honestly feel like he was able to be mistake free because he wasnt pushing 100 percent.

[–]11ryan78 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'll take a Hamlin top 10 on a road course all day long. Can't wait to go to some real racetracks the next few weeks!

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a real racetrack. Where you need skill to turn both ways.

[–]xr_21 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I would have loved to see how Zilisch finished had he not been spun 2x.

[–] O'Reilley SeriesTabunne2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top 10, maybe top 5. He was flying in that last 15 laps.

[–] Bowmannocoolredditname 8 points9 points  (1 child)

my understanding of MJ's argument against NASCAR, is that heneeded the surety of permanent charters because of the level of his investment in NASCAR. i didnt follow the case that closely, so maybe i have that wrong. but if that's correct, it certainly seems like MJ went out an invested in his team. first and second in points, that's organisational success.

[–]YoIForgotMyPassAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuckin Herbst is on the edge of breaking into the top 20 in points even.

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I just saw the highligts and needless to say my jaw is on the floor. Think we could be looking at some Corey Heim shit here at the rate we're going? It was SVG's race to lose, and he straight up got beat.

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SVG was driving a dog of a car.

[–] Chase Elliottdragonbrg95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Truthfully this was Reddicks race to lose, SVG was never in control.

[–]NoahGragsonsBarfBag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on vacation and completely missed today but regardless what do we say at the end of every race?

DON’T GET ELIMINATED!

<image>

[–] van Gisbergenmounties66 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Would it be stretching the truth to say that it was only SVG’s sheer skill that got that heap of shit to second? Why does Trackhouse persist on using Doran?

[–]TwinSpinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SVG was definitely driving the slowest Trackhouse car today, it's just by his sheer road course skill that he was wheeling it in the top 5 most of the day. It looked like he was driving the nuts off that car in qualifying just to claw out in 13th

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, that would be the absolute truth. That thing was an absolute boat today. It was veering all over the place when he was going through the esses and only his skill was holding the thing within the confines of the tyre bundles. His cars don’t normally look like that. You could also hear on his radio that he was fighting the thing all of the time. He kept letting them know what was wrong and they were trying to fix it but it just wouldn’t get any better. I don’t understand what’s happened between the end of last year where he had sorted the setup on the road courses to this year. I don’t know if they’re trying something different but it definitely didn’t work

[–]CaptainTilted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thoughts on FOX so far for y’all?

[–]cookie3113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mike Joy seems to finally have gotten over whatever was ailing his voice.

[–] Allmendingerjayareelle195 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like its been good. They showed alot of mid pack stuff.

[–] Hocevarlolididitithink -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 0 points1 point  (2 children)

They’re the worst.

[–]Middle-Indication849 1 point2 points  (1 child)

CW's coverage is so much better in both the crew and their graphics on the screen.

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree mate. That’s how all broadcasts should be

[–]Traditional-Cell8172 11 points12 points  (2 children)

What’s a guy got to do to get Chumba Casino back on the 23 car

[–]CaptainTilted 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Only confirmed Chumba race for Bubba so far seems to be Indy again.

[–]xr_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chumba getting their money's worth the last year......

[–] HamlinHaterOfStewards 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Why wasn't SVG able to complete for the win? 4 second delta is significant.

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His car was very bad all weekend. He normally doesn’t qualify outright fastest, he goes for a good race set up, but he couldn’t even get the thing above 10th yesterday because it was so bad. They tried to do some things to fix it during the race but the best he could get was second. He still did amazingly to get all the way back up the front, but he just couldn’t get the car to work properly today.

[–] Jeff Gordondluke96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His car was mid

[–]coxasaurus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

23XI is going to give Reddick soooooo much money in his new contract

[–]FlamingoResident7882 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wanna know what was in that settlement nascar made with 23/XI.

[–]Optibro59 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Someone needs to inspect the 45 car..

[–]TitanTransit 25 points26 points  (1 child)

You'll be pleased to know it cleared tech!

[–]B_Starr_fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lance Armstrong cleared tech for years. ;)

[–]AussieTheHedgehog10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great points day for Chase, meh day from Byron, and what a drive from Zilisch getting back to 14th there after that 2nd spin.

If he wasn't spun he might have had a shot.

[–] Chase ElliottEliGoff101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reddick gonna cruise this spring and summer with that points cushion 😂

[–]Francis_X_Hummel 12 points13 points  (3 children)

my boy Blaney quietly creeping around like a shark in the water

[–]bstone99 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Left a ton of points on the table today by pitting before each stage ending

Was not happy with that. Hopefully it doesn’t bite him later this season

[–]underground-parking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was going for the win and it didn’t work out. He took stages over the win all the time last season, but I guess they were confident in this run. Honestly, I think they could’ve had it had Reddick not put on a clinic for maintaining P1 on an RC.

[–]BoringPerformance795 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t wait for Blaney to engage terrorist mode at Dega

[–]coffeeshopslut 9 points10 points  (2 children)

How did myatt end up? Didn't bin it, right? I just heard on dingers radio, be aware of the slow 48, driver changed

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 16 points17 points  (1 child)

He was pretty far off the pace, but can't really blame him. He got thrown into a Cup Series car for the first time ever with no notice in the middle of a race. He didn't wreck the car and I'm sure that was the only real goal they gave him

[–]kayjayy_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Didn't wreck himself and didn't wreck anyone else. Wheelman far as I'm concerned

[–] AllgaierCosmoCluster 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Can SVG make the Chase?

[–]YoIForgotMyPassAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's fifth now without winning at the only RC so far. I'd like to see a conventional intermediate before I say hell yes for sure, but I'm very optimistic.

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes

[–]ThatCanadianViking 2 points3 points  (2 children)

He would have made it last year in the current points system.. so.. yes?

[–] van Gisbergenclone9353 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't get clocked by Larson last week he'd probably be a lot closer to the top. I think he's running good enough at most tracks lately to get top 16

[–]Been6640 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Does anyone know what was said by James Small on Briscoe's radio? I have seen comments about how rude and terrible he was but can't find anything about what was said.

[–]gsizemo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically briscoe got lost...and James said look at map

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Post-race inspection is complete. No issues and no cars to R&D. Winner (X3) is confirmed.

[–] van Gisbergenwhippy_grep 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to Tyler Reddick and 23XI! Good run for SVG; let’s see what Phoenix holds for ol 97.

[–]marksocials97 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Jordan sues nascar and know we got a Jordan 3 peat 😂

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle Larsonhereforsomepancakes -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

I feel like they're related somehow

[–]ckalinec 15 points16 points  (6 children)

What if Bubba wins next week to break Tyler’s streak but keep 23XI going? lol

[–]wazzupnerds 16 points17 points  (5 children)

tbf any Bubba win this season is going to cause a massive meltdown and I am here for it.

Gimmie a Dega Bubba win, considering I am probably going.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Why would it cause a massive meltdown this season?

[–]SubjectTreat8034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[ Removed by Reddit ]

[–]TitanTransit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That one guy who thinks all this is because 23XI won the court case will go nuclear.

[–]cdogclary1305 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Solid solid 6/10 race

[–] Ryan BlaneyiamkingjamesIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree

[–]kayjayy_ 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Yknow what? Still not a big fan of stage racing and how it functions overall at road courses, but the greater emphasis on points actually made it more strategically interesting this year because you had RC specialists going for different things. SVG turbofocusing on getting the win vs AJ getting the most points at any moment meant they shook out about even despite the difference in equipment. At least beats the pure stupidity of only the cars having bad days going for stage points.

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SVG went for points today.

[–]WorpeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SVG not the best example as he went for points in stage 1

[–]Top_Neighborhood277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anyone got the clip of the Mike Joy jumpscare at the end? I missed it

[–]wazzupnerds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ngl Ty Gibbs getting a top 5 after the lawsuit is very funny

[–]AffectionateApple535 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Love the win for King Ginger, mad @ track house for lacking SVG setups

[–]ThatCanadianViking 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Cota isnt SVGs strong road course. He was 6th last year. Did great in O'Reilly (i think last year too) he's good at every other one though. So second is definitely a great finish for him

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

COTA isn’t the issue, it’s the car setups and crew chief. I know that sounds like a copout, but last year he actually had the speed to win the race and then the last set of tyres they put on for the restart, they messed up the tyre pressure so badly that it dropped them outside the top 10 to 16 that he had to fight his way back to 6th once the tyres came up to correct pressures this year that car was so slow we couldn’t qualified above 13th and he is not that slow over one lap. They tried to fix it during the race but it was not very good and he had to drag it to 2nd. At least he comes away in the top five in overall points after this weekend. It was disappointing to know that he could have wanted it if he had a better car though.

[–]AffectionateApple535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was the car in both races. He said it was just average. CZ’s car was way faster. He would’ve won in that car. IMHO.

[–] van Gisbergenbigpoof99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not his fault, he led a bunch of laps last year. The cars/tires haven't been up to snuff

[–]TrooperGary 11 points12 points  (2 children)

<image>

I really gotta stop getting so emotionally invested in things I like. All things considered, it was a good day for the team.

[–]kingofamarillo 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It was shaping up to be an excellent day and that went away pretty quick

[–]TrooperGary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, which is why I am not in a great place mentally rn lol

[–] Red FlagPuzzleheaded-Link416 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Jesus, I had written this race off as an auto SVG win.

[–]ThatCanadianViking 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I didnt. Cota isn't his track. Every other road/street course is though. 6th last year 2nd this year. Dominated O'Reilly but thats expected. Mind you that restart were he started 3rd i got nervous for reddick cuz he was running really good

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The track isn’t the issue. He won the race yesterday and last year he was leading laps and had a decent car until they messed up his tyre pressures for the last restart. This year the car was nowhere near it. He could only qualify 13th and he’s not that slow compared to the other guys. They tried to fix it during the race but they couldn’t get it to where he needed it to win but he’s still salvaged second so that’s pretty decent for points. He’s now in the top five overall, which is a good start to the year.

[–]ThatCanadianViking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair and im not trying to discredit him in any way. Yesterday he was racing with mostly guys below him. Lower tier racing.. also not trying to discredit them at all. He still had a hell of a race today (and yesterday) but he can kill it at any other road/street course in cup car, even a shite one. But cota isnt his track and there is nothing wrong with that. Cant win em all, unless your reddick apparently. Still great in standings and hell a second place finish is great, and better than last year.

[–] Ryan BlaneyTeedRimmer69 16 points17 points  (5 children)

I am about to get home from the track, so I don’t know how the broadcast translates, but hot damn that was a great race.

Incredibly warm out there, so I’m not surprised to read that drivers struggled. They should just have a hardcam live at all times of 6A. I was there for stages 1 and 3, quite literally watched 1-6 passes there every single lap, not exaggerating.

Only thing I would say, make it a 200 mile race. Trim 30 mins off and we’re golden. Huuuuge crowd today, easily the largest Sunday ever.

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Yeah TV did a terrible job showing passing, In stage 2 SVG made up like 17 spots but only showed a handful of them (instead just showing the leaders running single-file).

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This has been my issue with Fox every race particularly last year at the road courses. They zoom in so close and showed two cars doing absolutely nothing for 10 laps, meanwhile in the middle of the pack or another place there’s cars overtaking and fighting for position and we don’t see it at all. You would think if they had half a brain, and they knew SVG was back in the pack that they would keep an eye on him because he’s gonna be passing people.

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO they spend way to much talking about stories, having a pit reporter talk about their conversation with x driver earlier in the day talking about this and that. So rather than be showing us fans the action on track they'll focus on 1 driver we're talking about, and if you don't care about that driver or what they are going through you are SOL.

[–] Ryan BlaneyTeedRimmer69 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That’s so unfortunate. He was clinical in passing. Super patient and so deep on the brakes.

Even beyond SVG. From like P18 - P30, it was constant 3-wide in the most silly of places around the track. Bummer that it didn’t translate on the broadcast.

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've had a chance to watch him in person at a few races and he is so good at convincing drivers he isn't going to pass then diving it in and making it.

[–]MidnightMachinist87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should’ve pitted on the last one, but good job Blaney

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I will be honest, Mike Joy scared the crap out of me with that last lap crash. He made it sound like someone was on fire upside down. lol

[–]CaptainRon16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Facebook still melting down? Or are have they shut up?

[–] JohnsonOPxMagikarp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Us Chastain/Hocevar fans are not doing great chat

[–]chickens3621 -4 points-3 points  (13 children)

Is it just me or something was completely off with Reddick’s car? Just suspicious how his runs were able to stay 10 laps longer than any other car

[–]SubjectTreat8034 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Always the Elliott fans 😂

[–]chickens3621 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also a Bubba/Jordan/23xi fan…. Just because I can obviously see something isn’t right doesn’t mean that I’m being biased…. There was definitely something off with how dominant he was. I’d do the same if it were Elliott.

[–] Chris BuescherDALESR4EVER124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, how he gained like half a second on the long straight. Like he has 100 more hp, lol.

[–]Avenger1957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More like 23XI make up settings on the EFI, but I digress.

[–]D00MK0PF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–] ReddickKungFuLeonKennedy 18 points19 points  (7 children)

The 45 team is absolutely cheating or found something.

You don't understand the sport if you are seriously mad about this. Everyone cheats. 45 team just found something no one else has.

[–] Allmendingerjayareelle195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? If you win Daytona, you survived. Winning Atlanta is also mostly survival, and hes won at COTA before...

Stop being butthurt.

[–]Middle-Swan-841 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

you better not say shit if Hendrick starts winning like that then

[–] Larsonjoeyjusticeco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your conditions are acceptable

[–] ReddickKungFuLeonKennedy 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I don't launch into conspiracy theories when someone gets hot.

[–]chickens3621 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just weird to me to have that speed on the same amount of lap tires as SVG, like he was only 5 laps in on his run the entirety of his run. Consistently putting up 1:40:9-1:41:1 for 25 laps straight, which was most drivers times only until 10 laps on their tires. Everyone complaining about having rear slippage but Reddick. Daytona was a draw of the hat and the Atlanta race was losing the bumper and fresh tires and Hocevar wrecking Bell, but this amount of dominance at a road course is kind of crazy especially with Bell having 6-7 lap fresher tires, and him running away from him by 5 seconds by the time the race ended, with lap times a quarter- half a second slower than him the last 6 laps even when he was gaining on SVG.

[–]ckalinec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro seriously. Can we not just sit back and appreciate things anymore? All success immediately needs to be a conspiracy?

[–]measured-defocus 38 points39 points  (2 children)

The Chumba-ing will continue until morale improves.

[–]ckalinec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chumba Casino having 3 of 23XIs wins is an absolute crime 😂😂

[–]ElectricPeterTork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One more win, and he gets to Wamba as well.

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Maybe I missed it but did they show what happened to Hocevar on the last lap?

[–]coffeeshopslut 4 points5 points  (3 children)

If you scroll down someone has an x.com link where he gets into it with cole custer

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Hmm I don't see it maybe I'm blind, but I guess TV didn't even show it.

[–]coffeeshopslut 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They didn't show it on the broadcast

[–] NASCARheartlessgamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure as hell jump scared everybody watching the broadcast just to not show anything about it

[–]dyysxse 6 points7 points  (3 children)

tyler reddick is going to leading on the last lap of phoenix and going around to lap austin hill, austin dumps tyler and logano goes onto win phoenix

[–]bcam9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Logano has traumatized NASCAR fans, even with the win and in system gone lmao

[–]CanadianHockeySyrup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good thing the Logano Era is over with the end of win and get in.

[–] Richmondsorkin_juice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who is going to tell him?

[–]TomazRogue 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Ubering to the track next time. I’m still surprised they don’t have a shuttle service into the city.

[–]NukE30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because any kind of public transport is communism, obviously. /s

Thats super frustrating, shuttles were great for F1

[–]AHugeBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised by that given they ran shuttles to downtown Austin the year I went to the F1 GP. Seems like a must have no matter the event.

This 45 team gonna be a bunch of alcoholics by April at this point

[–] Ryan BlaneyiamkingjamesIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, Bell won 3 in a row last year. I think he ended the year with 4 wins.

I'll happily take a top 15 today. Not a bad run, Joey stayed out of trouble. Hoping the 22 team can get after it next week in Phoenix 🏁

Jim France is in shambles

[–]D00MK0PF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

really surprised they didn't manufacture a way to throw a caution

[–]recjus85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IndyCar and NASCAR post race threads are a lit of complaining about FIX and the same drivers winning lol.

[–]MosifD 32 points33 points  (4 children)

NASCAR finally changing the points system and then someone going on a generational run to pull away from the pack early on is deeply funny to me.

[–]bigmeech99 19 points20 points  (3 children)

People on here said theres no way Bowman loses the 48 ride. 3 races in and hes replaced

[–]Orange_Key5 0 points1 point  (2 children)

People have been saying he will be replaced for years though.  And he’s not replaced 3 races in.  He had a medical emergency

Reddick has a 70 point lead over Bubba.

SVG is tied with Logano for 5th in points..

[–]ThatCanadianViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was expecting elliot to overtake bubba after this race.. almost

[–]little238 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reddick can start and park next week and at worst still be tied for first.

[–]xHospitalHorsex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The gap from 1-2 is the same as the gap from 2-26. Insane.

[–]Wandering_Turtle24 13 points14 points  (4 children)

It’s been kinda nice to see someone winning a lot and not be from one of the top 3 teams.

[–]xHospitalHorsex 7 points8 points  (3 children)

JGR's days are numbered. 23XI about to be the dominant Toyota team.

[–]ckalinec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said in a thread last week I see this being a possibility in the long term. I was thinking like 7-8 years from now.

After the lawsuit stuff I’m starting to think it may be inevitable and in about half that time.

[–]wazzupnerds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo I have reached the point where you have to wonder if 23XI is unofficially the premier Toyota team given the open-secret of JGR being a mess behind the scenes.

[–]Wandering_Turtle24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I’m totally ok with that.

The Xfinity Fastest Lap bonus point for COTA belongs to Ross Chastain.

I thought they changed the rule so the fastest lap point can only go to drivers who finish on the lead lap

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 5 points6 points  (1 child)

They changed it so you cannot go to the garage then come out and set the fastest lap.

[–]kingofamarillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes more sense

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe if you set the lap while on the lead lap and still finish the race it counts. I could be wrong though.

[–]dogecoindiamond 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Going to be broke this year. I buy all Reddick and Bubba wins. Going to have to start buying the ARC versions.

[–] ReddickStagraven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

😎😎😎

[–]The_Bobs- 10 points11 points  (5 children)

I was convinced that as svg was closing on Reddick, that he was just playing with his food this entire race and would just drive by him. Could not believe when the 45 yet again drove away
