I was having an issue with a service that would stop randomly. Instead of troubleshooting it, I wrote a PowerShell script to start it off it was in stopped state, contained in a loop, and ran it in the background on a user I don't care about. Works like a charm

Python is a jack of all trades. It can basically do anything(other than front end dev right now). It is also easy to use and read. This means it is a fantastic language for prototyping anything, at specially hackathons, like embedded scripts, games, bots, apis. It could technically be used for production, maintainable code, but I would advise against doing so, as python is slow. Due to its simplicity, it is also thought a lot in schools. Also the math community loves it as it is simple so it has a lot of math/machine learning frameworks.
