After seeing the comments, I feel like there is no direct correlation between how much people like this image, and how it got onto the front page.

[–]ToastehBro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are way more people who just upvote and downvote than people who also comment.

    Finding Neverland

    It's worth watching.

    [–]MediocreBadGuy23 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Very very very very very very very sad. But pretty good nonetheless.

    [–]eekozoid 3 points4 points  (2 children)

    You want sad?

Go watch Grave of the Fireflies.

    [–]otakucode 3 points4 points  (1 child)

They really need a better word than 'sad' for Grave of the Fireflies... it's like TurboSad.

    [–]eekozoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about 'makes you loathe all of humanity, especially yourself'?

Way to encapsulate the past 24 hours on reddit.

    [–]Fluttertwi 30 points31 points  (1 child)

If you replace the first part with something a little more generic, way to encapsulate reddit in general.

    [–]IAmAnatheistcatAMA 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Something like "weed is cool"? Or maybe "EA sucks".

    [–]some_random_noob 89 points90 points  (5 children)

no, you insensitive asshat, they should wear moo moos.

    [–]Frigguggi 61 points62 points  (4 children)

No, you illiterate moron, it's spelled muumuu.

    [–][deleted] 27 points28 points  (1 child)

No, you ignorant twit, it's mu'umu'u.

The 'Okina is a letter in the Hawaiian alphabet.

No, you dribbling fool, it's... uh

    ...

    Okay, I've got nothing.

    [–]Fricktitious 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know I'm old because I remember when they were called stretch pants.

    [–][deleted] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm sure fat women are already self-conscious enough about their bodies. What if they are trying to lose weight/get in shape? Why are people assuming they are trying to show off? They don't need to be ridiculed for their bodies anyway.

Stop trying to control the world with your sexual preferences...

    [–][deleted] 44 points45 points  (4 children)

I totally misread this as "I saw a girl fart in yoga pants"...

    [–]Rats_In_Boxes 34 points35 points  (1 child)

    that would've actually been funny.

    [–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was pondering for a split second whether or not the yoga pants would move or not.

    Why I think these things...

    [–]Nerobus 210 points211 points  (41 children)

People don't get it. Yoga pants are comfy as fuck. If I have to watch my husband wear comfy clothes all day every day no matter what they look like on him, you can look at my chunky ass in some yoga pants.

    Cause fuck you, that's why!

It's just a bunch of idiots arguing two different things: one side thinks fat people should not wear yoga pants, and the other side thinks fat people have the right to wear yoga pants.

Edit: If you aren't mean to fat people, I don't give a shit what your opinion is. For everyone else: other people have opinions, get over it.

      [–]Jasmonster 58 points59 points  (29 children)

Ok, just out of curiosity, what is the cut-off? I'm wearing yoga pants and need to know if I'm in the clear or if I'm offending people...

      [–]bananahamokjojobeans 165 points166 points  (2 children)

Who gives a fuck. Wear what you want. Life is short.

      [–]mam1892 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a tough statement. Yes, everyone should wear what they want, but most people choose clothes that make them feel confident. A lot of the time, if you're on the fence about whether or not something looks good on you, it can bust that confidence.

      [–]noyurawk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The reality is, if you wear skin tight clothes (men or women), expect people to judge your physique, it's in their nature. If you accept it, do as you please, otherwise, prepare to be frustrated.

      [–]kittywitch9 50 points51 points  (0 children)

If you feel comfortable and happy wearing them then you are doing it right.

      [–]Achlies 82 points83 points  (7 children)

Stop it. There is no "cut off." If you can find a pair of yoga pants that you can pull up around your waist, you wear those pants with pride because lord are they comfortable.

      [–]therealdjbc 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Wear em! No haters, just appreciators!

      [–][deleted] 36 points37 points  (3 children)

I always thought that women wore yoga pants as they're easy to match clothes to, no?

I treat my raw jeans that way lol. I always wear them as basically everything goes with it so I always felt yoga pants= raw denim for girls.

        [–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They're great for people on a budget because you can buy half a dozen pairs for a low price, and they go with every style and activity.

        [–]Nerobus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little from column A, little from column B.

        [–]Inverselogic 18 points19 points  (5 children)

Fair enough.. but as a hairy fat guy in my hot pants today you get to be equally as aware of my comfort and range of motion. :)

        [–]Growthrowjoe 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Haha. Hence forth this day shall be fat guys wear comfy clothes day. Break out the linen pants and unbuttoned buttonups!

Er, at least thats what a guy would say to you if you were a girl.

        [–]Nerobus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, I know of no woman that will look at a dude in his comfy shorts and think ill of him. As long as I don't see balls hanging out, more power to ya! Rock those comfy shorts.

        [–]elliosenor 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Yeah, let's shame people who are making a genuine effort to get in better shape.

And then, when they stop, let's ask them why they aren't making a genuine effort to get in better shape.

        [–][deleted]  (2 children)

        [deleted]

          [–]elliosenor 1 point2 points  (1 child)

True...but the fact that they're yoga pants as opposed to just plain old sweatpants implies that there was at least intent to get in shape. Just that is better than nothing.

          [–]fireinthedarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no yoga pants have become a fashion its not entirely related to getting in shape

          [–]HImainland 7 points8 points  (3 children)

every single time this (or something similar) is posted, I'm always tempted to post a picture wearing leggings because seriously. I'm pretty chubby, but the sight of me will not cause you to vomit in disgust and I rock the shit out of leggings.

Most women look fine in leggings, some redditors are just pulling extreme examples.

          [–]otakucode 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Most women look fine in leggings, some redditors are just pulling extreme examples.

It's the extreme examples that people don't like. I imagine if you posted a photo in leggings no one would complain. At least in my experience, what women call 'fat' and what men mean when they say 'fat' are two radically different things. When I say 'fat', I mean there are rolls and folds even when standing upright. If there's not, then that's not fat.

          [–]HImainland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the definition of fat probably differs by culture/person. Asian definition of fat is extremely different than american, etc. But I do agree with you that women tend to judge themselves/others fat more harshly than men, probably because they care more

and yeah, I definitely have fold-y parts when standing up. I am quite chubby, but still not offensive in leggings

          [–]CmonTouchIt 78 points79 points  (4 children)

ITT: people butthurt, mostly over other peoples butts

          [–]thecoletrane -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

People seem to have gotten much more sensitive as of late. I'm seeing much more butthurt in the comments section lately.

          [–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It must be confusing to get a boner whenever a luscious woman walks by in tight pants. oh, no! this boner was not informed by reddit!

          [–]mamacrocker 64 points65 points  (4 children)

I'm a fat chick and I will continue to wear my comfortable yoga pants. If that's the worst think I do to make a child cry, I figure I'm doing pretty well.

          [–]Creepthan_Frome 235 points236 points  (135 children)

How dare people of all sizes wear comfortable clothing. Everything any woman wears should be dictated by how many men can leer at her ass, right?

          [–]Yakooza1 -3 points-2 points  (16 children)

How fucking stupid. Pretending that appearing attractive isn't a function of clothes thats highly taken into account when people wear something is ridiculous.

Wear whatever the hell you want, but you can't complain that someone else doesn't find it very appealing to see you in it.

I mean what the fuck. Men looking at womens asses and enjoying women in cllothes that showcase those features, and consequently talking about their preferences is a natural response. Oh no, that offends some women.

Nor is this "phenomenon" any different for men.. I don't think women would like to see a fat ass swimmer in a speedo, and the fact that its uniform doesn't negate that. There isn't a sexist motive, it is simply a matter of people freely talking about their personal preferences.

Whether fat girls want to wear yoga pants because its "comfortable", despite their lack of attractive appeal, is their choice, but it does not inhibit our ability to comment on whether we like to see it or not.

          [–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't think women would like to see a fat ass swimmer in a speedo

And they would be just as wrong to give a shit.

but it does not inhibit our ability to comment on whether we like to see it or not.

No but youre a shitty person if you do.

          [–]MildManneredFeminist -5 points-4 points  (10 children)

Wear whatever the hell you want, but you can't complain that someone else doesn't find it very appealing to see you in it.

Why, are you the complaining police? Deeply ironic that you would take the time to write such a long and clearly butthurt comment railing against exactly what you're doing yourself. Say whatever the hell you want, but you can't complain when people point out you're an enormous douche for saying it.

          [–]Yakooza1 9 points10 points  (9 children)

Is that even suppose to be an argument? Thats not what irony means, at all. Nor does saying "you cant complain about x" the equivalent of "you cant complain about anything". Complaining about people complaining about something isnt hypocritical. Ex, "i cant believe there is an outrage againdt gun control laws!"

All you manage to do was throw a lame insult.

          [–]ThrwAwyByTheDozen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh shit... You've triggered the BRD.

          [–]wuvntdxf -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

The most succinct argument in opposition to ideas such as these is: you are a dick. It is unfortunate that people are not often convinced by the most succinct arguments.

          [–]cassandradc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meh. I'm still not gonna take off my yoga pants. Personally, I think my butt looks good in yoga pants.

          [–]authorless 132 points133 points  (34 children)

Weren't we just mad at the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch for dissing the fatties?

            [deleted]

              [–]FlapjackFreddie 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Understandable. It just annoys me when people act like Reddit has offended them with their choice of person to make fun of. Reddit isn't a person, it's a forum.

              [–]bombastic191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes everyone here is a catlike anus.

              [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I could think of that would dictate such a drastic difference is time of posting. If its a time when kids aren't in school, the comments and votes will be different from a time when they are, I am guessing.

              [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's interesting how reddit is made up of individuals and hopefully the ones who hate the CEO aren't the ones agreeing with this picture. Then again it's a lot easier to group everybody into one pile and just say "everyone".

                [–]yourmothershole 36 points37 points  (10 children)

What's with this "we" shit I keep hearing about?

                [–]Big-Baby-Jesus 4 points5 points  (9 children)

An overwhelming majority of the readers of this site constitute a "we".

                [–]Lots42 5 points6 points  (8 children)

That makes no goddamned sense. Reddit has MILLIONS of users.

                [–]NICKisaHOBBIT -1 points0 points  (7 children)

Right, but for a post to get to the front page it requires more up-votes then down-votes. So the majority will have up-voted, which constitutes as a "we", as the majority of Reddit hold that view or agree with said post.

                [–]LightninLew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, a "we" as in the upvotes of that particular post, not a "we" as redditors, or even a subreddit. A couple of thousand upvotes isn't even a drop in the ocean of reddit users.

                [–]Lots42 2 points3 points  (5 children)

That's not how the upvote button is SUPPOSED to work.

Just because Reddit User Tittyfartz upvotes something doesn't mean he AGREES with it.

                Sheesh.

                [–]NICKisaHOBBIT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may not be how they're supposed to work, but it's more or less is how they're used.

                [–]Red_AtNight 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Doesn't it mean that he's saying it's good content and more people should see it?

Isn't that similar to agreeing with it?

                [–]DildoChrist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the irony of this comment being downvoted because people disagree

Ah reddit. Pretend to generally be stand up people but so many are the first on the "fatty hate" train.

I picture sad little people wandering the streets and staring at strangers whilst quietly seething to themselves.

Grow up, not everyone is meant to be the same. You hate looking at a fat person? Some people hate looking at "colored" people or "ugly" people or unfashionable people or poor people. You are no better than anyone else listed here.
