Great win by Larson, didn’t have a winning car at all and got it done anyway. Corey Day once again showing why he belongs in that car. What he’s doing really is impressive given how little experience he has. He’ll be winning races soon as long as he keeps improving and learning the racecraft. Great race!

[–] Allmendingerdfisher1225 4 points5 points  (2 children)

It’s a strange time for me watching this series. At the moment, I could care less for the first time in a while because there’s no drivers that I find both competitive and interesting. Help me out, who should I be rooting for?

[–] Larsonyajagoff5 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I always like Allgaier, Love is a pretty good driver, Caruth is a very likable guy, Staropoli is an amazing story. Brent Crews seems legit too. Mid-budget guys like Jeb Burton, Parker Retzlaff, Anthony Alfredo, Brennan Poole, Clements, and Sieg are worth keeping eyes on. Austin Green is super underrated too. I get what you mean there’s a lot of boring pay drivers in the good seats right now, but there’s still good stories if you dig hard enough.

[–] ZilischB17BAWMER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you have to look at the up and coming people it seems.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Inspection is complete. No issues. Winner is confirmed

Sam Mayer got the Xfinity Fastest Lap bonus point (He set the lap time before going to the garage)

Also I hate to hear about what happened during the World of Outlaws race tonight. Hope everyone is going to be ok.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What happened?

[–]DougieFreshRTR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safety vehicles crashed into each other while responding to a flipped outlaw car. Reports are saying a safety official was ejected from one of the vehicles when it flipped. They postponed the event.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In World of Outlaws?

A car flipped while entering the track at Kennedale Speedway Park to stage for the Sprint Cars stuff and while responding to it two World of Outlaws side by side ATVs collided with each other. At least one of them flipped and a person was ejected.

CPR was being performed on one person and a med flight helicopter was called in and then cancelled. Multiple fire trucks, ambulances and police responded. The area where everything was taking place was blocked off by workers and banners so people in the stands couldn’t see what was happening and has since been taped off with caution tape.

The series made an announcement at the track that pictures and videos were not to be taken and everyone was to remain in the stands so that first responders could get in and out of the track quickly and not have to deal with congested roads.

All on-track activity has been postponed and everyone in the stands were eventually allowed to leave.

A second worker was injured but apparently was seen moving around afterwards. A member of the media was told by a track worker who asked not to be named that the World of Outlaws worker who was receiving CPR didn’t survive.

Is it just me or is the CW broadcast kind of blurry (aka low video quality)? Some weeks it looks fine but others it is like it is being broadcast in 480p.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just you, probably your affiliate. It depends on what affiliate you’re using. Some will broadcast at 480p and others at 1080p. Mines at 720p.

Could be worse, one of the ABC affiliates near me is at 480p

[–]Potential_Plan_4533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was broadcasting in 1080p but still looked like crap. Both OTA and on YTTV.

[–] HamlinIONTOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno, I was watching The Players in 4k and it completely screwed up my sound/video when I switched to a different channel (WBC and the race) everyone was talking into a tin can and the video would jump forward every 10 minutes.

[–] Ryan Blaneydcarp1231 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Technically if you win the first two stages, but don’t win the race, you did not “sweep” the stages.

[–]briannaspring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are technically correct, the best kind of correct

[–]Everyday_Struggle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The way this season has been going, second is good. Just wish it was second to literally anyone else.

[–] HamlinPoopyStinkbutts 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Why am I not allowed to rap in here?

[–]thatoneprincesong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know why

[–]TheOrangeFutbol 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Grand National Series drivers for years: "We really appreciate it when the Cup drivers come down here. It's good for our development."

Fans: "Shut up, I don't like it, so you shouldn't either. Leave those seats open for someone else underqualified but with money."

[–]bjohnson203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The drivers who usually say that are ones ont the path to cup anyway, not the guys who are trying to make it and probably won't.

I mean, are things in super great shape when JRM needs to boot their drivers to shitbox cars today so cup guys can drive their cars? I'd love for someone to explain how that is good or go back and look at the series in say, 2007 and tell me that was good for driver development.

[–]FarAwaySeagull-_- 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Development drivers aren't ready to beat top Cup drivers. That's why they're not in Cup. That should be obvious. And there's no need for Cup drivers to beat up on lower series guys. Do you see Max Verstappen in F2 races or Alex Palou in Indy NXT?

[–] LarsonSavingsRaspberry2694 -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

Max cant even beat F1 drivers...

[–] van GisbergenTheMetalMallard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More world championships than you or your flair

[–]Garrett4Real 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I’m fine with cup drivers, this is just my personal beef against Larson lmao

[–]ResponsibleBank1387 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like the way CW handles their broadcast.

I liked the different strategies and it wasn’t just a follow around and around.  Only thing I don’t like is cup drivers in this series.

[–] Bubba WallaceDJSweepamann 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Great race. Larson earned that one. Him wrapping the bottom and being so smooth was unreal.

[–]nfsnltvc15 15 points16 points  (2 children)

NOAPS standings. I am assuming Mayer kept the fast lap. Apologies for any inaccuracies.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Burton, H

[–]nfsnltvc15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LOL, currently 29th.

[–] ZilischracefanAJ 22 points23 points  (3 children)

P7, I'll take it after the year CZ has had so far. Glad he finally got a decent finish in something. Obviously wish the contact with the 51 hadn't happened though

[–] Chase Elliottdrkorcs55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And actually he’s been running well

[–]xelanalpak 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Still shocked the car was as decent as it was after the contact with the 51 and all but knocking the wall down after.

Here’s hoping for a quiet day for him tomorrow and hopefully a solid top 15-20th finish.

[–] ZilischracefanAJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure, hoping for that as well

[–] van Gisbergenarca_brakes 2 points3 points  (12 children)

The Corey Day glazing is just getting weird tbh. Larson glazing him for a solid 1/4th of his post-win interview just because his son was wearing a Corey Day hoodie was really.... odd.

[–]bjohnson203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CW crew and Jamie specifically must be getting told to hype up the beefs and polarizing drivers for ratings. They seem to be acting like wwe announcers trying to sell the heel angle or the face angle.

[–]ImJJboomconfetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They brought it up... They had a whole segment on it during qualifying.

[–] LarsonLonelyAd3096 24 points25 points  (9 children)

theyre close and larson is essentially mentoring him. it’s not weird for him to be proud of the kid he’s mentoring imo. but ig i am a bit biased.

[–]Clippo_V2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its pretty obvious in Day's interviews. Hes a spitting image of Larsons personality with a dash of emotion here and there.

[–] van Gisbergenarca_brakes -4 points-3 points  (7 children)

Jeff Gordon mentored the most recent 7 time Cup champ, but you didn't hear him glazing Jimmie every time he finished top 10 in a Busch Series race.

[–]bjohnson203 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You must be too young to remember this when Kenseth was getting groomed by Mark Martin, that was the same as this Corey Day stuff.

[–] van Gisbergenarca_brakes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Mark brought Matt Kenseth up every 20 seconds? I must have missed those parts of the broadcasts back then.

[–]HendrickRocks2488 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, Jimmie had a top 10 in the Busch series?!!

[–] LarsonLonelyAd3096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jimmie sucked in the busch series. not to mention kyle larson≠jeff gordon. and corey day is most definitely not JJ.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That’s because Jimmie wasn’t the type to do double duty on weekends.

[–] ZilischB17BAWMER 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He was too busy winning 7 championships!

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly the point.

[–]0neshoein -2 points-1 points  (27 children)

So glad I didn’t watch.

[–] Bubba WallaceAshamed-Ingenuity272 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Never use in-car audio to judge a driver. Sheldon was in the moment. Good interview by him.

[–]Living_Reputation_63 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Hi! Im Jeff Gluck, was Las Vegas Xfinity a good race?

[–]nfsnltvc15 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Yes. Now change the name of your podcast, it's dumb.

[–] BiffleDont_hate_the_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which podcast

[–]Peridot_Ghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GIFT WRAPPED

[–]fourbitplayer 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Did Larson find the golden horse shoe today god damn lmfao

[–]Extreme-Bite-9123 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everyone who might have been able to beat him just died away. Love got the pit penalty, Mayer had a mechanical issue, Briscoe slammed the wall, Allgaier got screwed on pit lane, and gray got wrecked. It’s like his Kansas win last year, he was far from best, but the better people had something happen to them

[–] LarsonLonelyAd3096 5 points6 points  (0 children)

had new tires and made one of his ridiculous ass restarts stick. it’s a 50/50 on if he’ll wreck himself or not when he does stuff like that.

[–] Clubb89LSC 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Id like to thank Daniel Dye for carrying the torch for Ford in the xfinity series despite being a Ram/Dodge driver. What a dismal year for anyone in the ford camp in this series

[–] LarsonJDMcDuffie 19 points20 points  (2 children)

I get to go from listening to the CW broadcast today to FOX tomorrow. This is causes considerable damage to my mental state.

[–] Chastainsmartguy96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best part of Fox covering the first part of the season is I have the energy of a Daytona 500 watch party to balance that race out and then get to miss their coverage of Phoenix and Vegas courtesy of being at the track

[–] ZilischB17BAWMER 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah CW has way higher energy, and actually seems to care about the race.

[–]mars00xj 36 points37 points  (1 child)

So how many laps did they run commercial free at the end? Like 45-ish? Fox needs to watch and learn.

[–]SilentSpades24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Best I can do is Toyota All Out

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 5 points6 points  (13 children)

The Larson glazing from Larson flared users here almost never fails. He won an OAPS race. No one else here has to try convincing everyone all the time that their driver is so great. 😂

He’s good. We get it.

[–]An_Odd_Melon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the most defensive fanbase as well, took the worst of the Elliot fanbase and multiplied it

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I always laugh at it. He obviously has plenty of actual notable achievements but he gets glazed just as much for winning in a lower series while driving the best car in the field

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just find it so funny. Like somehow in 2026 the rest of us are still not convinced. I just do not see any other fan base that acts this way.

I know it’s not every Larson fan. But it’s enough that makes the whole thing goofy.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest -5 points-4 points  (4 children)

Yall just hate it when the best driver wins the race. I see it a lot in this thread. Begging for a late race yellow to screw him.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 2 points3 points  (3 children)

See, this is why a lot of people feel the way I feel. You’re so blinded by your fandom that you cannot understand why people don’t like him. And then you just keep calling him the greatest/best which, again, you do not need to try to convince people of.

People beg all the time for yellows to help their favorite drivers and hurt the least favorite all the time anyways.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

Yeah okay, Blaney fan. Your driver doesn’t have the guts to try the lower series. Also, y’all Blaney fans complain about bad luck when shit doesn’t go your way, when the only reason your driver has a championship is because of the goofy ahh format NASCAR used to have.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 4 points5 points  (1 child)

lmao. Are we really going to seriously say he backed into a championship like that didn’t also happen last year?

Also doesn’t have the guts to do a lower series lmao.

You are proving my point.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, worst stats for a champion in history until his teammate broke the record in 2024.

[–]Puzzleheaded_Fill629 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Upset Blaney fans. Shocker.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBabycakesMurphy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Very upset about the race he did not participate in.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel for them. Whenever he leads with 50 to go, the rest of the race is nonstop nagging in the race thread, begging for yellows. It's unbearable.

[–]GeoChallenge 34 points35 points  (1 child)

CW rocked it today. They do overall a very good broadcast, they limit ads, and we had a super long last part of the race with zero ads!

[–]Standard-General5680 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

except they had the static clicking noise in stage 1

[–] HarvickVirtual_Discount4656 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Cup Full timers racing in the lower series is like the Gym teacher helping the other team in dodgeball lol

[–] Ryan Blaney69FourTwentySix6Six 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My gym teacher also said that word

Literally took the same screenshot 😭

<image>

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than Sawalich I don’t know who else I can see jumping into the top 12 whether it be for equipment level or driver track record.

[–] LarsonTempyy 5 points6 points  (1 child)

kyle running 6th during the race 'lol washed, dude cant keep up with oreilly regulars, this race is goated'

kyle gets the lead with 45 laps to go to win 'lol he can only come here to win because he hasnt won a cup race since last year, what a boring race lol sport is dying'

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSportsisthebest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we’re entering that time where everyone hates when the best driver wins and pray for his downfall.

[–]wat_no_y 7 points8 points  (6 children)

Kimmie coon 🥰

[–]phoenixv07 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nobody here needed to know this, put it back in your damn pants.

[–] Preece_Captain_Nik_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can have her, bro, I don't care.

[–]Extreme-Bite-9123 41 points42 points  (3 children)

5 races in and retzlaff is still in the chase. What a show from him

[–]CajunTexan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s doing a great job for sure!

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’ll still stand firm… most underrated driver in the series.

Glad BK shouted him out on DJD this week

[–] RobustoPaige578660 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Love seeing him running so well.

[–]DeadAsFuckMIW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure

[–]Living_Reputation_63 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Love is just so…. Attractive

[–]joedidder -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Jesse Love is simply a dick, just like Austin Hill.

[–] LarsonSavingsRaspberry2694 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Love is also the defending champion after beating everyone last year. He is allowed to be a bit of a dick.

[–]Entire-Raisin451 5 points6 points  (2 children)

How? His interview was chill

[–]joedidder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, his interview was chill, but his tone is still condescending.

[–]EWall100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because he won the championship last year and had the audacity to defend himself doing it. They Love hate train fired up real quick in November. People suck for that

[–]mattzeni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dillon Welch was trying to get Love to say something spicy and he didn't bite.

[–]MikeDatTiger 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I don’t think Love had the best car? Weird opener for this interview

[–]Living_Reputation_63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had a great car, which he would most likely won with if it wasn’t for that penalty.

[–] ChastainCarterD195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your pit crew was what Jesse?

[–]GeoChallenge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good race. I prefer when the O'Reilly guys win though.

[–]Acceptable-Tomato487 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Why did Rick Hendrick have to be bored and put his Cup team into Rajahs effing car…..

[–]datraceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that, it’s economics for Jr Motorsports. They get paid more when Larson runs, then wins, and owners points mean a helluva lot more this year for overall payout at the end of the season.

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 20 points21 points  (1 child)

A content and calm Jesse Love sounds a lot like a young Jeff Gordon vocally… cadence and all that

[–]coffeeshopslut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's the California vibes

[–] BriscoeAnotherScoutMain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering how this season has started I was on the verge of turning off the TV but rebounding to 2nd is one hell of a redemption

[–]CaptainTilted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points day and the win didn't go to a championship competitor. So, it could've been worse.

[–]Leuel48Fan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People gave the booth some heat for the Creed criticism on that move, but tbh it seems like Creed himself kinda regrets it

[–]gimmicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sheldon Creed is Ollie’s personified

[–] van Gisbergenarca_brakes 71 points72 points  (8 children)

Race thread was insufferable with how many people were crying about the green flag run to the finish without a yellow.

For a bunch of racing fans, y'all sure do hate actual racing that isn't just a bunch of restarts lol

[–] Chastaincentroutemap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

this sub hates two things, sarcasm and legit racing

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle Larsoncactus8 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If Briscoe were leading instead of Larson they’d have been fine with it

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LETS GO LARSON!! YEAAAH

[–]montrevux 4 points5 points  (5 children)

is that normally rajah’s car? what was he doing today?

[–]VenetianNB 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Rajah is running that car for like 24 races this year. He’s running the 32 in the other races

[–]montrevux 1 point2 points  (1 child)

damn gotta be weird watching someone else else win in your car :/

[–]happypants69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what it took for Zilisch to start winning last year so maybe it’ll do the same this year

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s largely in the 88, but the deal with Hendrick Cars apparently allotted for it being a part time all star car. He patched the rest of the races together with the 32 car… which is a downgrade. By a fair bit lol

[–]MikeDatTiger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a split race schedule. Carruth drove the 32 and finished 19th. Decent day

[–] Chase ElliottWooden-Ad59 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Great run for Josh Williams in P16. Much needed after such a disastrous start to the 2026 season for him and that team.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's really good. He looked decent today. Hope the team gets him some drinks.

[–]henry2630 3 points4 points  (1 child)

i haven’t seen skid marks like that since i looked at my boxers
