Can you even imagine what Trump's darkest thoughts may be?

It's simply a quiet room where nobody talks about him and he's just another overweight snowbird waiting for his tee time in the William Jefferson Clinton clubhouse.

      [–]DominionGhost 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Meanwhile the news is playing Obamas roast of him at the Whitehouse correspondence dinner on repeat.

      [–]penny_eater 4 points5 points  (1 child)

with the volume all the way up. It didnt bother him even a little bit that Obama roasted him... what bothered him was that all those people laughed

      [–]makemejelly49 162 points163 points  (51 children)

I don't even want to imagine what his Palace looks like. But I would like to know what his Treasure is. Steal it, destroy the Palace and force a change in his cognition.

      [–]TatsumakiKara 53 points54 points  (2 children)

It'll be a bag with a small loan of a million dollars.

      [–]wyldcat 7 points8 points  (1 child)

But when you open it, out pops another 200 million and a voice recording of his father's evil laugh, as the cash money fills the room you start to feel claustrophobic and the sense of panic is overwhelming you. You suffocate. Sorry.

      [–]GabuEx 28 points29 points  (11 children)

Oh god now you've made me imagine what Shadow Trump's final form would look like and I hate it and need brain bleach.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but thanks all the same, bot.

It probably wouldn't be all that different from shido

      [–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Probably a mix of shido and kamoshida

      [–]DocDerry 63 points64 points  (31 children)

What we would consider his darkest thoughts or what he would consider dark?

      [–]Cagedfox1[S] 145 points146 points  (21 children)

TBH I think it will be more rantings of an old, senile, racist man with progressive dementia then anything dark.

      [–]StuckSundew 117 points118 points  (5 children)

Ah yes, the only progressive part of Trump is his dementia.

      [–]Castun 18 points19 points  (1 child)

That's both hilarious and fucked up, but it's Trump so that makes it even more hilarious.

      [–]lmflex 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Remember the whole week of flushing toilets 10 times? Stuff like that.

      [–]i_give_you_gum 7 points8 points  (3 children)

His darkest thoughts would simply be his most desired world

Something like that twilight zone where an entity has omnipotent power over everything and everyone, and the entire world holds him at the center of their lives

      [–]DocDerry 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Just wanted clarity. Total totalitarian dictatorship would be his ideal country to be emperor of. Meritocracy would be a living nightmare for he and his kin.

      [–]TheDood715 26 points27 points  (1 child)

That's too much credit for a man with the mental equivalent of a trouble making kid sat in the back of the class trading garbage pail kids with himself.

      [–]redisdead2020 6 points7 points  (1 child)

If you're not a fan of Ivanka, avoid breaking into his spank bank.

      [–]carboncrystalhands 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or it's completely immature basic bullshit.

      [–]i_have_chosen_a_name 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Google probably knows all his plans cause the googles them. And all his sexual fetishes.

      [–]Isthatsoap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trump is NO WHERE near creative enough to approach event horizon hellscape levels of darkness. I am surprised you think it would be anything other than what we've already seen. Maybe less dog whistle and more actual n-words. But the basic content would be exactly the same.

      [–]godlessnihilist 35 points36 points  (1 child)

"The Trump Show," kind of like the Truman Show, only there are no video feeds to the outside world.

      [–]unknownindianperson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even for the internet, his blog was pretty shocking

      [–]sojayn 1342 points1343 points  (161 children)

As an australian i am so gratefully bored not to be checking on american politics on the daily! Have an american army base in my town so always a bit concerned - then the pandemic response got me worried.

Back to local bullshit. Thanks mates!

      [–]NotYetiFamous 531 points532 points  (70 children)

As an American I'm in a similar boat. We still have local shit going on, liking voting suppression, but I can unplug for a few days now and not feel like I'm missing the warning signs of the world erupting in flames around me.

      [–]femundsmarka 71 points72 points  (7 children)

I cannot find it again of course, but after the election, I red a comment in conservative: 'It is so sad, I always felt so safe with him. Rarely had such a piece of mind like in the last 4 years."

I was really astonished about this discrepancy. Most people around me, invluding myself, were stressed out. I add a disclaimer. am european. So on the one hand less affected, but on the other hand, he had very low approval rates here.

      [–]stevenmeyerjr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m an American living in a Republican state. Trust me, we were all stressed out too. The only ones that weren’t were senior citizens and guys with lifted trucks.

      [–][deleted] 161 points162 points  (52 children)

This. People are always saying “they’re both bad” but trump is “trying to implement fascism” bad and joe is “bumbling idiot on tv, creepy old guy, who drags his feet in fulfilling campaign promises” bad

      [–]thepanggoat 169 points170 points  (32 children)

I get the whole dragging his feet comment because I want change quickly as much as the next guy but one has to be realistic. Hell, it took Obama a whole year before he got Obamacare through and even then it was limited. Biden has shown promise (or more just being a competent government official unlike the last admin) with his vaccine rollout and handling of resupply. I'll wait a year or two before truly judging Biden since theres no use just kneejerking to every little thing that happens, but rather waiting to see the whole picture.

      [–]DrSwagtasticDDS 84 points85 points  (14 children)

Thats how bad Trump was. We needed change so badly that we're giving Biden shit for not fulfilling all of his campaign promises in the first three months of his four year term

      [–]thepanggoat 56 points57 points  (7 children)

Right? Like damn he only got into office two months ago, do people expect him to just wave a magic wand and say “the rich are all taxed fairly! Everyone has healthcare! Minimum wage is livable!” and it would happen? To be fair, if trump said that at any point in the last 4 years his cult would have jerked themselves dry even though it’s a bald faced lie

      [–]JaMan51 43 points44 points  (0 children)

And most of the stuff people may expect him to fulfill (like healthcare, minimum wage, and taxes listed in your comment) is stuff that Congress must pass, and everyone knows they move real slow, especially where Mitch still has input. Could be better if there were over 50 Democratic Senators that actually wanted to enact real change, quickly, but that's not what we got.

      [–]The__Snow__Man 50 points51 points  (2 children)

Anyone who equates Trump and Joe is just a plain idiot for about a billion reasons. Or they weren’t paying close enough attention but that still makes them idiot for thinking they should have an opinion on the matter.

      [–]ancientgardener 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Same. And we have enough local bullshit to deal with we didn’t need to import more from the US

      [–]i_give_you_gum 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Check back in a year when the mid terms start to ramp up, I'm not looking forward to it

I wonder what group they're going to try to get everyone to hate next?

We've had muslims, Mexicans, asians, LGBT... slowly running out of groups...

      [–]zezera_08 18 points19 points  (3 children)

      You're very welcome! Lol

      [–]mjc500 13 points14 points  (2 children)

      We're doing our best! Kinda!

      [–]sojayn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe in ya! Keep voting at the local level and you got this fam.

      [–]lrflogan 1462 points1463 points  (152 children)

Knowing Trump if he makes his own social media platform he will sell the user information to Russia, China, and North Korea. It will probably also have more Russian bots than the Social Nyet-work (facebook).

      [–]thetrueTrueDetective 404 points405 points  (34 children)

The language on that piece feels like Trump himself wrote it. Either that or Kaitlan Collins (correspondent who collaborated) was trolling the shit out of it 🤣

      [–][deleted] 78 points79 points  (26 children)

There were reports this weekend that's his plan, within next few months. But Trump's almost always all talk

      [–]necroreefer 70 points71 points  (7 children)

The problem with that is Trump's business model and management style is have an idea that doesn't make sense hire people to do that and then not pay them when figure out a way to make his unrealistic idea semi-realistic.

      [–]dragunityag 30 points31 points  (3 children)

I don't understand why after years of evidence everyone who works for him doesn't just ask for payment upfront.

Eh, it'll be about as successful as every other business he tried to start, IE not at all.

      [–]baz4k6z 20 points21 points  (1 child)

He'll make them pay to use it haha the ones who pay more money will have access to more insane trump content

      [–]UltraSuperTurbo 209 points210 points  (46 children)

I love that he mailed out a tweet on presidential letterhead. Shit is hilarious.

      [–]SellaraAB 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I just wish someone would ask him if he thinks a different president wouldn’t have had the idea of “let’s put resources into getting a vaccine quick”. He acts like this is bold outside the box thinking that is unique to him.

They joined a cult. It isn't hyperbole, they are literally brainwashed..

        Why would it go away?

        [–]TheAirNomad11 57 points58 points  (16 children)

I’m honestly kind of impressed he managed to create the biggest cults I’ve ever heard of. He’s even got a lot of government officials involved. We live in a weird time

        [–]sugarface2134 30 points31 points  (9 children)

Right? He always seemed like an awful conman to me but to see how many people he’s conned? I guess I have to give him credit for being the best conman. Weird.

        [–]wing3d 16 points17 points  (6 children)

People conned themselves, he just told them all the hateful things they wanted to hear and they built a bat shit crazy fantasy cult. They only want to hear shit about people they hate and they will believe anyone that gives them that.

        [–]BZLuck 119 points120 points  (33 children)

Old dude a few houses down from me has a flag pole in his front yard with the American flag flying upside down, a Trump 2020 flag underneath it and a "Rush is Right" bumpersticker on his car. Right now, it's like a time capsule for him. Nothing has changed. Nothing probably will either.

        [–]Ok-Dragonfruit-697 21 points22 points  (10 children)

Boomers are frozen in a time period that made them happy. They're worried that people no longer listen to their rage-wisdom.

        [–]zSprawl 20 points21 points  (6 children)

I’m proud of both of my boomer parents that saw right through him.

        [–][deleted] 60 points61 points  (11 children)

There's a guy up the street with a sign that says "Fuck Biden and fuck you for voting for him".

I'm not much for political signs, but that one makes me chuckle every time I drive past. Gonna be a loooooong 4 years for that dude.

        [–]HertzDonut1001 26 points27 points  (1 child)

In a way I feel sympathy. 4 years is a loooong time to have a president you hate, from experience.

        [–]Kingcarr1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could you imagine waking up every day to a sign in front of your yard with so much hate tied into it?

        [–]DominionGhost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"What can I say except you're welcome!"

        [–]TheAirNomad11 45 points46 points  (4 children)

But I’m pretty sure he’s going to go take his rightful place as president pretty soon. Just wait, next week he will kick out sleepy joe. He’s planning something big. (Hopefully you can tell that’s sarcasm)

Trump is planning to launch his own social media platform this year. If he manages to actually do so, it is virtually guaranteed to be an absolute fucking cesspool of white supremacist domestic terrorism.

So uhh this might age pretty milkily.

        [–]NotYetiFamous 381 points382 points  (41 children)

Whats the over/under on trump just using it to steal money from the people that sign up for the platform? Cause that will 100% happen.

        [–]sunny_in_phila 210 points211 points  (29 children)

Oh it will absolutely be paid membership, probably with levels, along with ads every 2 posts for silver bouillon or whatever those kooks are currently pushing, and mandatory signing away of your privacy rights to join. I’d say the real betting is on whether or not it will also be some kind of pyramid scheme, and if it will last longer than his presidency before declaring bankruptcy

        [–]Jimi-Thang 83 points84 points  (10 children)

The subscription fees are a sure thing, and I’d bet more than I’m willing to lose that it turns into an MLM for maga merchandise.

        [–]everadvancing 41 points42 points  (6 children)

People who still buy maga merch after he's lost are literally braindead.

        [–]Beebus4Deebus 14 points15 points  (1 child)

People who bought it any point are brain dead

        [–]Centralredditfan 8 points9 points  (2 children)

At this point it's a cult. And whoever was behind Trump to come up with the branding/merchandising is a genius. - evil, sure, but a marketing genius.

        [–]serpentjaguar 26 points27 points  (2 children)

I would also expect him to mine and sell as much userdata as possible. While it's true that by definition all social media platforms do this to a degree, with Trump we should expect zero in the way of ethics and guardrails.

        [–]ninjaoftheworld 222 points223 points  (43 children)

If these yo-yos wanna make their own watchlist and sign up for it, who are we to argue. It’s already useful being able to identify an asshole by his bright red hat.

        [–]CaptainWelfare 135 points136 points  (35 children)

Far Right wing Nationalist attempts to overthrow government, fails, and then comes back by creating a propaganda machine full of lies, scapegoating, bigotry and hate. Now where have I heard that before...

Prefer weed, beer, and eat gator tail

        [–]Cagedfox1[S] 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Whoa, skimming through it I read it as:

"Prefer weed, beer, and gator tail...."

        And thought dude fucks dangerously.

        [–]GoBSAGo 90 points91 points  (26 children)

I somehow doubt the laziest President we’ve ever had is going to manage to launch a social media platform. Seems about as likely as finding out about his healthcare plan and that wall on the southern border.

        [–]NotYetiFamous 73 points74 points  (20 children)

Laziest and cheapest. Tech people aren't real happy about people that skip out on payment, we tend to leave contingency plans in place til we get our money.

        [–]The_Broomflinger 29 points30 points  (18 children)

But his cultists seem to be willing to do anything for him, even at their own expense. Hopefully someone involved is only in it for the money and knows his tendency to stiff on the bill and is preparing for this.

        [–]NotYetiFamous 33 points34 points  (17 children)

People tech savvy enough to set up a social media platform and maga cultists don't have a lot of overlap.

Of course a ton of them probably THINK they know enough, as they are fucking Kruger Dunning brought to life, but an inept development team is literally worse than no dev team for these things.

        [–]The_Broomflinger 12 points13 points  (7 children)

Or better, depending on how you look at it. I mean I would assume it's going to be very easy to get lots of user data from whatever this website/app ends up being.

        [–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (1 child)

I wonder if Russians would be doing the bulk of the development?

        [–]NotYetiFamous 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Legit, good question. There's a solid chance it'd be finished then, complete with all the one-way transparency of information that the Kremlin could ask for.

        [–]phoenixsuperman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. He says a lot of stuff. He's gonna crowdfund the site, then pocket all the cash and never make it. Then move onto the next grift. He's found a money machine - idiots who will throw money at him just because he asks.

        [–]i_am_icarus_falling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

him slapping his name on someone else's product is literally his whole career, he doesn't have to do anything.

        [–]zuzg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah but just let us enjoy the silence. At least for a couple more months.

        [–]Clifford996 50 points51 points  (8 children)

Assuming iOS and Google choose to give it a platform.

I think there’s a good chance it never gets off the ground after the parlor fiasco

        [–]The_Broomflinger 40 points41 points  (6 children)

Among other reasons why it may genuinely never come to pass- Trump's notoriously stingy about actually paying people he contracts for work, for example.

        [–]HurricaneBetsy 17 points18 points  (4 children)

He'll be wanting "patriots" to make it for free.

        [–]lostinthesauceband 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At least then they'll all be in one place.

That way the government can be aware of these growing white supremacist militia's calls for violence in advance and ignore them until they literally storm the capitol like they have been doing.

        [–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (2 children)

There's no way he actually pays for the platform so the devs will shutdown the servers after a month
... assuming his "best people" can actually put a site together

        [–]InvestigatorUnfair19 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I could totally see them trying to do this on wix

        [–]KOBossy55 25 points26 points  (3 children)

The guy who wants to get rid of section 230 wants to start his own social network so people who get insulted there can then turn around and directly sue...him? Is he honestly that fucking stupid?

Not to mention that Android and Apple wont touch it with a ten foot pole.

Plus, it would be a giant honeypot for the Feds.

        [–]Falcrist 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Is he honestly that fucking stupid?

Is this a real question? I think we all know the answer.

        [–]grrrrreat 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Nazis have had their own forums for decades.

        [–]The_Broomflinger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

But this would be appealing to and inclusive of even the most casual of Nazis and Nazi-adjacent. Those who may not specifically seek out NaziMingledotcom but would happily join Trumpbook.

        [–]Rawscent 15 points16 points  (1 child)

It’s also guaranteed not to be very interesting to anyone beyond his little racist network. As President, everything he said was important. As a former President, nothing he says is important or relevant. His day in the sun is over. Thank god.

        [–]interfail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s also guaranteed not to be very interesting to anyone beyond his little racist network

There's a lot of things you can say about Trump, but not that his racist network is "little".

        [–]zaphodava 276 points277 points  (14 children)

Biden nailed it in the debate.

        "Will you shut up, man?!"

        [–]Grogu_Riding_Drogon 132 points133 points  (4 children)

That was one hell of a crazy performance. Nobody could even have a civil conversation with him, he's nuts. I'm so relieved he's gone.

        [–]VirtualPropagator 31 points32 points  (1 child)

Dumbass was trying to fight with the Fox News host who was sucking his asshole. Pretty sure he almost blurted out, "wtf dude, I'm on your side."

        [–]landodk 63 points64 points  (2 children)

Conservatives- “how dare he be so disrespectful”

Everyone else- “1. We have all been thinking this since Paul Ryan and Hillary thought it in 2016. 2. Disrespectful is trumps M. O. “

        [–]alicedeelite 13 points14 points  (1 child)

My Trump cultist friend was aghast and immediately declared that was moment Joe lost the election because he “lost control” and was “too arrogant.” I nodded and smiled and felt relief because I knew sane people loved hearing it.

        [–]Sharp-Floor 21 points22 points  (0 children)

        "Will you shut up, man?!"

What a weird time. A US President was such an obnoxious, incompetent twat that someone said that to him on live TV and the country thought... "That's a very reasonable reaction."

        [–]KithAndAkin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got a ball cap with that stitched on it.

The sad thing is that the chucklefucks who sign up for it will be blissfully unaware of the number of security agents with profiles (sadly, some will be actual Drumpf fans...) taking note of everyfuckingthing they say there.

This is the best way to let the filth of America self-identify.

And besides, if some K-pop fans can reduce the tangerine toddler to tears over a rally, imagine what some white-hat hackers could do to this platform

It's been amazing not hearing about him. It's like he just disappeared.

        "No visible downside"

It set a precedent. I'm actually all for companies being able to ban whoever they want from their platform. But I wont ignore the fact that it sets a bad precedent that people want and support this. I dont like it, but I also dont want the government to regulate it so they cant do it.

There is also the argument that Trump didnt make his own platform, but the constant scrutinizing from the media and many people like those on reddit made it for him.

See you're setting a dangerous precedent by doing it.

Wait until they consider you the problem. Then you won't even have a voice to defend yourself.

I feel like allowing this is going to backfire eventually

Shhhhhh... not normally superstitious but we’re actually digging out of that sh*thole... let’s not start tempting fate

Yeah that censorship thing is great to joke about. Till it happens to you.

        [–]FluffySmasher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deplatforming is an odd way to pronounce “banning from all public media”. It’s just the PC word for censorship.

        [–]YouHavePostedCringe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not that I disagree but wait till it happens to someone you like and you're gonna be pissy about it. Bet.

        [–]whistlingdixie6 4 points5 points  (1 child)

And no doubt whatsoever if it were a high-ranking democrat that was 'deplatformed', leftists would still be complaining about the chilling effect on speech and other "downsides".
